Paul Reubens has been cast as Mr. Vargas, a dapper, finicky ?muscle? who handles delicate situations in the criminal underworld, EW has learned exclusively. He?ll first appear in season two?s third episode, with the arc slated for at least two episodes. ?We?re forgoing the bow tie and the bicycle, and it?s going to be something totally different, and it?s gonna be awesome,? executive producer Jon Bokenkamp says. ?It can?t get strange enough for me. One of the most fun things is being able to write for actors who I?ve admired and think are interesting and try to play against expectations. I think this will be a fun one. I?d say he?s gonna shake things up a bit when he enters Red?s orbit.?

?It started with the character,? he says. ?We knew what he would feel like and sound like, and then as we started kicking around names, Paul?s name came up as, ?Well, that would be cool. That will never happen, but we might as well ask.'?

I tried really hard to like this show, but there's too many nagging problems with it.

The feds have zero law enforcement skills and have never heard of backup.

Besides the main characters, some of the minor chars just don't seem to be written well.

It's violent for the sake of being violent.

It's filmed in NYC pretending to be DC, and it's way too obvious that it's NYC.

The production values are poor. I've seen scenes where they drive by the same block over and over and it's distracting.

Just watched the episode not that long ago, very good, and some big names in it btw.  Good start to season 2, next episode looks even better from the little preview at the end.
