Hi, im new at this forum, but im very impressive about your work, my question is: i have downloaded the currently version AP XP 4.6 (Ago), but i jut have a few Windows XP English SO installed, i have a lot of Spanish lenguage. How can i change it to Spanish.

Thanks a lot for your work. :D

Well what I did is the following :

I downloaded the patches in french and putted them in ProgFiles

Then I edited the My_Custom_Database like this (for trying !) :

<apxml dbVersion="2.0.0.0" osVersion="5.1.2600.0" spVersion="1" language="English (United States)" friendlyName="French AutoPatcher" date="200404">

<batch uniqueID="Q306458">

"{apdirectory}\CustomProgFiles\Q306458_WxP_SP1_fra.exe" /q /z

set ERRORLEVEL=0

</batch>

</apxml>

What I receive now when I select the AutoFrench database is the following error :

AutoPatcher has detected that the core database has been altered. This could mean that it has been tampered with and could cause harm to your computer. If you know about this and would like to continue, press Yes. If you believe this may be tampered with, press No.

What did I do wrong ?

Nothing... it's just alerting you that it will now be displaying things that aren't from the main database. If you continue what happens?

I can NOT continue. I can only click on CANCEL :no:

I see now... delete the file you have now "My_Custom_Database.db" and add the one I attatched. Turns out you shouldn't have the underscores, among other things. Sorry 'bout that. Will fix it in the next release. :yes:

See... working now (I just added it to my UltraLite release):

What's the difference Flish ? Cause I have the same error.

Seriously? It works fine for me. :blink: You're copying the file I uploaded into your "db" folder, then running the AutoPatcher, and choosing the "AutoPatcher Full" database, right? If not... take me through it.

If I run the autopatcher and choose "AutoPatcher Full" it doesn't give me anything more then standard English AutoPatcher Full.

So no menu that appears.

If I run AutoPatcher and choose "AutoFrench" (the file I created) it gives me the error

Hmmm... I think we're getting to the bottom of this now.

This is what I need you to do.

1. Download the attached zip file.

2. Extract the files inside and add them to your "db" folder.

3. Move "Q306458_WxP_SP1_x86_fra.exe" from "CustomProgFiles" to "ProgFiles"

4. Run AutoPatcher.exe and choose the "AutoFrench" Database.

Tell me if it works now. (Y) If it does (which I believe it will), then I'll explain what happened. If it doesn't, I'll scratch my head cause it works fine here. :laugh:

I'm sorry FlishFun, but same problem, same error :blush:

I'm getting crazy here ...

Seriously??? Okay... let's see here. I need to make sure this is correct:

1. You extracted a current version of AutoPatcher XP 4.6.

2. You copied the files I attatched in my last post to the "db" folder.

3. You copied Q306458_WxP_SP1_x86_fra.exe to the "ProgFiles" folder.

4. You verified that the file "Q306458_WxP_SP1_x86_fra.exe" is 66,152 bytes.

5. You ran the "AutoPatcher.exe" file.

6. You chose the "AutoFrench" database.

7. It told you that it could NOT continue and didn't give you a next button.

Is this 100% correct??

Hi,

I'm building a DB for Autopacher XP UltraLite to update a Windows XP Portuguese.

After changing the db file i go the error "AutoPatcher has detected that the core database has been altered...." i suppose this is because i need to buid a new database.sig file.

How can this be done?

TIA

actually, this is a very bad timing :) A January 2005 release is just about ready, and it's based on AutoPatcher 5.0 which doesnt use databases. It uses modules...

Tanks Raptor for the fast reply.

I will wait for the new version.

You have any date for this release?

Hi you all!

Thank you for this amazing software! :D

I'm trying to translate this new version (5.0 January and February all in one, att current time, only Java 1.5.0-1, WMP, and all those hotfixes) to Portuguese (Portugal), but i'm having some problems...

When i change the modules from English to Portuguese, i get the message:

You are about to overwrite an official module! Are you sure?
and in the install menu, they appear in red...

Another thing... All languages have a code number (English is 1033)... Which code is Portuguese?

(Can this be installed in a Portuguese version of WinXP?)

Thanks! ;)

OK let me try and answer a few things:

1. The message you got is a security feature. Only the people who release AutoPatcher can create official modules. The module editor informed you you were about to overwrite an official module. It looks like you said OK.

2. AutoPatcher understood that and thus made them red to indicate their unofficiality..

3. Portugese (Brazil) is 1046 and Portugese (Portugal) is 2070

4. These flags will make the modules appear in Portugese Windows.

5. Some files might require replacement (find Portugese versions of the patches etc...)

Please make sure you read the AMC Documentation file.

For more help about (the latest) module editor, please refer to the [news] AutoPatcher Module Editor 2.0 thread, located here.

Let me try to reply in your way... :D

1 & 2. Now i understand and agree with that option. Yes, i've said OK.

3. Thanks, i dind't know were to find that info (i was busy translating)...

4. Great!

5. Yes, that's what i've been doing: replacing files kbxxxxxx-enu.exe with kbxxxxxx-ptg.exe, and changing to Portuguese the kbxxxxxx.amc (links, description, ..)...

I'm also changing the WMP, MSN Messenger to Portuguese...

Thanks for the fast reply!

5. You're doing good so far :)

Module Editor 2.0 has all the flag help you need integrated, so I suggest you go on with that.

Also, If you're going to translate the UI, look under \translations folder. Open 1033.lng (english translation) with notepad and translate.
