Post counts are in multiple places, there's even pages for most posts ever, today etc and as I pointed out, it's easy to find if people really need to know.

I understand that, but a lot of members, myself included, don't really come here just to help people. I help people when I can, but most of the time I am reading about news, entertainment, ect.. Just seems that Neowin is putting a lot of focus in one bucket and leaving others kinda hanging.. Just my two cents.. I spoke my opinion and I'll let it go.

The post count doesn't matter at all as far as I'm concerned. You can have someone with 500 posts giving better technical answers than someone else with 110,000 posts.

I've seen people with a high post count that just post gibberish, and others with an incredibly low post count, but a majority of their replies have been well thought out posts. Do you treat someone with a high post count differently than someone with a low post count? I'm genuinely asking, as I really can't see any benefit to post counts.

To me post count means you actually put in time on the forum. I couldn't care less if you think my posts are gibberish that's all a matter of opinion but when I see high post counts that means to me that they're active and contribute to the forum.

I like this change. Less motivation to spam and more motivation to contribute positively to the community :)
