Hope for the Thrashers like I hope for my Ducks. Anaheim has to have the weakest remaining schedule in the league. They basically have to run the table, but they are playing some really bad teams. They should get 9-10 points in the next 5 games. I just need to them to make the playoffs, Giguere is playing well again and the team itself is stepping up. To bad it is with like 17 games left in the season. I will still watch the playoffs, but wont be as enthused. Plus I want to see the Kings get sweeped in the first round. As much as I hate them, I do give them credit for the job they are doing. It is amazing they still win with no goalie and no offense or defense. They prove heart goes a long way in hockey.

Boston is rumoured to be offering Samsonov and Jillson + a pick

Toronto's package may now include Darcy Tucker + youth + a pick

Colorado's monster deal involing Olie the Goalie is likely not going to happen considering that Gonchar sat to prevent an injury while Kolzig played last night.

BOSTON (CP) - The Boston Bruins have won the Sergei Gonchar sweepstakes.

A source told The Canadian Press on Wednesday that the Washington Capitals have sent the star defenceman to Beantown in exchange for 21-year-old defenceman Shaone Morrisonn as well as a first- and second-round draft pick.

They're payroll's still pretty dang high, so I wouldn't exactly call it "cleaning house"... Not to mention they let go of the good, overpaid players... Not the bad ones. :laugh:

No one's going to trade for half of the great, but overpaid players they have. The next (and maybe only) player I can see going is Messier. The Red Wings had their eyes on him, in case you were wondering.

yeah, i heard that. i heard they also have interest in eric lindros, though i hope not to either of them. :x

we do need a center or two though. datsyuk and dandenault both went to the hospital last night. dandenault has a broken foot and i don't know what's wrong with datsyuk yet. draper going down too was another blow. :(

      There is nothing wrong with this title. You have completely missed the plot when it comes to "clickbait." The issue was never that a title tries to entice you to click, that is how titles have worked for over 100 years. The issue is when the title subverts expectations, getting you to click expecting something that isn't there. The classic clickbait example is "Boyfriend caught cheating, what happens next will shock you," then what happened next is the girlfriend was upset...which is probably the least shocking outcome imaginable. If sounds like what you want is for the titles to be a collection of 10-word summaries that you can skim, get the just of the story, and only click if you want more details. That is not, never has been, and never will be what titles are. You can go all the way back to print newspapers during the great depression and see the same thing. The newspaper was locked in a vending machine, all you can see is the headline, you choose to put in 5¢ to buy the paper and read the rest if you want. Those headlines were written in a way to sell the paper, not just to provide a summery. Here are two actual headlines from that time, "Wall Street Lays an Egg," or "Stocks Hit Bottom?" Maybe you'd say something like "it was wrong then and it's still wrong now." Okay, fine opinion to have, but it isn't like Neowin is doing something unjurnalistic, they are just following the age-old standards for written media.
