Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic masterpiece The Last of Us will be ported to PlayStation 4 this year, a Sony employee has revealed.

Speaking during an interview on Turkish CNN, PlayStation's Eurasian Software Market Manager Sercan Sulun said that a PS4 port would launch this summer.

"There is no information about a new The Last of Us game but I can share this knowledge; as of this summer, The Last of Us will be on the PS4. Both on PSN and physically," Sulun said (translated by IGN).

"The PS4 version will also include the DLC so you will be able to play 'Left Behind' as well."

Absolutely stoked. Top 3 game for me and only played it once before selling my PS3, and didn't play the DLC. Been clamouring to replay this.

I am hoping by "and physically" this is a genuine port rather than streaming.

Will it come with any improvements graphically?

Tomb Raider looked great on 360 and PS3; and Definitive Edition literally was a SUBSTANTIAL upgrade graphically. These new consoles open a lot of doors for graphical improvement; so I think it's safe to assume it'll look a LOT better.

Never played the first one but this is one of those titles that certainly put me back into wanting a PS4 but I know the misses will go crazy if I go back to two consoles :p

Do it Skiver...DO IT...we all know you want to

Interesting point...though Tomb Raider showed up on PS+ for PS3 quite quickly after launching on PS4. Who knows, I'd expect Last of Us to do the same, promoting it on PS3 shouldn't have much impact on PS4 sales. I'm the target audience for this re-release. Sold PS3 to help pay for PS4 and because it seemed the efficient thing to do

And lemme guess, they'll try to rip people off by charging $60 for last years game too, wont they?

If they don't improve on it graphically and charge full RRP then I would agree it would be a bit of a rip. It's a good game, but basic re-releasing it for a new console with no improvements and charging full price would be ######.

I'm certain they will have some graphical improvements. 1080p, higher res textures, maybe enhanced lighting and whatnot. But I fully do not expect it to be anywhere near the quality of NDs first proper next gen title.

Personally i think they need to do a lot more than just improve the graphics to justify full price for a game that'll only be a year old by the time its rerelease is released.

Digitally, yes. Go physical and you can get a new copy for less atleast 1/3 less.

But $60 is still RRP.   Target/Best Buy/Amazon/Gamestop whoever can choose to drop the price (they get $12 - 15 per copy sold, so they have some wiggle room to drop it to move product anyway).  Actually, Gamestop still has it for $60, $54 used.

Good idea, but doubt they will do that third party launch window offer again. Not for this one. My guess is $50 digital and physical, and of course upgraded graphics, as in 1080p60. If Second Son can do it, then surely Last of Us should be a breeze.

The Last of Us Complete Edition has cropped up on a spanish retailers site (complete with some kind of bag?), with a June 19th release date.

I wish at this point Sony would come out and officially announce it already...

    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
