Hi everyone! Dopamine 1.5.5 has just been released. This is the change log:

 

– [Added] Added support for the Opus file format
– [Added] Added optional automatic download of album covers from the Internet
– [Added] Added optional enqueue of other audio files which are in the same folder as a double-clicked audio file
– [Added] Added button to download covers from the edit song window
– [Added] Added Vietnamese translation

– [Changed] Updated the Portuguese (Portugal) translation
– [Fixed] Fixed another conflict between playing a file from Explorer and loading of saved queued songs

Play / Pause no longer works from my keyboard :(  I am using a Cosair K70 RGB multimedia keyboard and this used to work, now it does not!  I push play/ pause and it pauses then plays again... its supposed to be a toggle.

 

Tested with 1.5.4 its working fine.  1.5.6 ... not working!

Works on my Sidewinder X4.

 

Edit: My backup Logitech K400 seems to have the same issue you describe.

That's unexpected. Media keys support hasn't been touched since 1.5.4.

 

Have you re-tested with 1.5.4 after testing with 1.5.6? This would rule-out external factors (you can use the portable 1.5.4 version to avoid messing with your collection. It will create a local collection in the folder where the portable version resides, which you can safely delete after testing).

 

Are you, by any chance, using a Windows 10 insider build? I have reports that build 17063 breaks the Dopamine system notification. Just trying to rule out this too.

Is your Logitech issue new since Dopamine 1.5.6 or have media keys never worked with Dopamine when using the Logitech keyboard? Logitech is known to use custom software (SetPoint) to map media key shortcuts, which interferes with the default way of doing things. So you'll need to be exact when replying to this question.

Could your issue be related to this? Dopamine issue 578 and How do I get my Logitech media buttons to control Spotify

It works on my sytem: Windows 10 1709 FCU 16299.192 with my modest Logitech G105.

My apologizes I upgraded to 1.5.6 and this time I rebooted and it's working fine.  Sorry for the trouble.  I never use insider builds, Windows 10 has enough issues as it is lol

Sorry for the late reply, batteries were getting low on the keyboard. Replaced them and the issue is gone...

Hey all, a new version of Dopamine was just released: Dopamine 1.5.7. It is a small bug fix release. This is the change log:

Hm, it is weirder, when I launch a playlist, Dopamine loads, but the playlist doesn't.

Thanks for the logs! I messed up this is indeed a bug. I now fixed it. The fix will be in the next version (1.5.8)

Guys, when I use the context menu in the Windows File Explorer to listen to an album with Dopamine, it doesn't work. It opens Dopamine with the miniplayer, but it stays blank and nothing gets played. Is this happening just to me?

You're not alone. That's the same issue as reported 2 posts up. I broke that when adding another feature in one of the latest builds. Version 1.5.8 will fix it (release is in a day or 2).

Yes it is. I'd wait a day though. I discovered an issue in version 1.5.8, where albums don't show when an artist or genre only has 1 album. I'm working on a fix.

Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
