Well the first episode was awesome. A bit farscape, a bit Firefly, a bit Andromeda. I like the fact they are all bad-ass criminal murderers and pirates.

Why did they not show who Jodelle plays. Nice little mystery there.

Hope it doesn't get cancelled too soon.

Yes interesting the young girl wasn't part of the crew info.. maybe a stow away?  Was surprised when I looked her up on IMDB that she has been in SG-1, Atlantis and Supernatural, all shows I watch... and it was her in that painting from Atlantis someone else posted earlier in the thread :p

farscape wasn't a very serious sci fi show was it? it had some really weird characters and some really stupid ones too. I never felt anything for the characters, also the main baddie was very camp. I hated it when sg1 added the two far scape actors they turned the show into a joke and it was never the same....

sg1 seasons 9+ went downhill...the ori weren't menacing at all, the goa'uld were badass.

p.s. i still watch sg1 & farscape every now an then, just to remember what they were like. They are far from unwatchable but not classic imo.

I thought farscape's characters were its greatest strength, they were great, and Scorpius is one of the best sci-fi villains ever IMO

I didn't mind it, entertaining enough although none of the charm and quality characters of say firefly.

Would have been nice if they mixed the characters up a bit. For a seasoned sci fi person tell me you couldn't half guess the characters based on their look and there first moments.  Ah the eccentric kid has visions, oh sorry dreams.  Asian ninja...didn't see that coming.  The gun loving tough guy is an out for himself jerk, thats never been done before.

My thoughts too. It was very predictable and formulaic. Not a patch on what they did with Stargate,,,

It'll still be a good watch, as long as they keep the storyline bloat free, and not load it full of crap like they did to Universe. They pushed it too fast, too hard.

Though, I like the story behind it so far, pirates with amnesia, sounds kind of good. It's a flip from Stargate, Good guys vs bad guys, now it's bad guys against good guys.

After episode two I am not sure I want to continue  :/

She was cute though :p

I agree with you on the cute, I most certainly IMDB'd her.

I'm still going to watch though.. it's the off season for most things atm so I have the time.  All I'm watching atm is Defiance, Dark Matter, Halt and Catch Fire, and rewatching X-Files.

Did the Android wear a spacesuit to shield herself from the gamma radiation. She did say she didn't need the oxygen? I love how Zoie Palmer is playing it.

Also, great episode. We still don't know who Five is - although wikipedia calls her Das

Yes, really enjoyed season 1.  Very solid start.  I like the slow reveal of their backstories, I like the two chicks, and the Android plays the part well.  I like Roger Cross being a "good guy" unlike Continuum although that season finale raises questions about him!~  This show and Defiance have had really strong seasons.

Yep solid season, was never a doubt in my mind this was getting renewed.

Surprised Killjoys got renewed but good to see SyFy giving shows a chance to find its space legs.

My fav thing about this show is how the Android can go from being Terminator with lighting reflexes to getting taken down by a bullet or a Taser at the most convenient times.

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time
    • I remember when Louis used to just do interesting Mac/iPhone repairs, now he's boring and just launches "crusades" every week

    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
