I don't think it's prudish to not want a speciffic brand of social progresivism shoved down our throats weather we want it or not.

@DeusProto I can thumbs down your posts too buddy.

You sound just like people who complained when Hugh Hefner first launched the magazine.

That said, this does not mean I want to flip a page in a magazine and see one naked. Not my cup of tea.

To be honest I have flipped pages in these magazines and seen women who would put me off my tea.

No, technically the person is a man. Mutilating your body will never change that. Tell people to call you whatever you want but you're still technically a man that's just had surgery.

I am not speaking of surgery though. I am speaking of how society defines things. You are correct using today's definition. Today we define a persons gender by what apparatus they had when born. However, as you can see, many people who are born in the opposite body by the way we define gender. The definition is now in changing to account for better understanding of we are not defined by simply 1 factor alone.  Example: Your body is just a shell, you are the entity that runs it. If you lost your arm, you are still "HoochieMamma", if you lost your leg you are still "HoochiMamma", if you lost your anything physical (aside from brain) you are STILL "hootchiemamma". This is how society should define you... by YOU and not your physical (or lack of) traits. Are you male or female if ONLY hootchiemammas brain was in a vat on a table?

Like I said, I am only objecting to Playboys decision in a business sense, not anything else.

No you are male and female via genetics and more specifically, chromosomes with exception of chromosomal abnormalities. Nothing is going to change that. Your equipment isn’t the deciding factor.

If your brain was (with life-support) in a jar on a table, would adrynalyne be male or female?

Well, if someone did a dna analysis you could see which chromosomes are present to determine gender. Not sure if that was what you were getting at, but it could be determined.

at the end of the day, regardless of gender, i still fail to comprehend in this day and age why Playboy and other spank mags even exist, lusting over ink....meh no thanks ill have the real thing thanks.

maybe im just a bit funny that way, im the same with any pron, pointless voyuerism. gimme the real thing any day over pixels or ink on a page.

You choose to buy said magazine - as such, nothing is shoved down your throats.

We are going off track, my point is, you are who you are. Male/female is a medical label that is given. Yes you are born with one of these identifiable traits. Where the definition changes is people assigning roles/expectations ON that point and that point only. I still feel it is a bad business decision on playboys part... but they have smarter people then me in marketing, so whatever.

You have a point there.

I am glad that Playboy is the first mainstream pornography publication to end its microaggressions against GLBTQ people. Hopefully the rest of the industry follows suit.

All facets of society need to put gender binary thinking behind them. In particular, cis males need to embrace change. In a few more decades only a fringe minority will have any problem with things like this.

But then again....

I see you abandoned your brain in the jar line of thinking rather quickly ;)

Oh sure, one transgender model in a magazine you're not forced to buy is "forcing it down your throat". LOL.

I think what you mean is "I'm not happy because these people offend my tradcon sensibilities, and I'd very much prefer it if these people were forcibly hidden from all societal view".

Making (wrong) assumptions I see.

P.S. I didn't say a model in a magazine I'm not forced to buy was being forced down my throat. I said a specific brand of progresivism is. See DeusProto's post for specifics.

Yeah, ANTIFA was labeled a domestic terrorism threat because they only use gentle persuasion to to convince people that their version of progressivism is correct.

And that has what exactly to do with transgender people appearing in playboy exactly? Lol don't act all high and mighty as if the alt right isn't doing the exact same thing. We both know both extremes are idiots.

The only difference is that one of us will say it while the other pretends it doesn't happen.

It's like if Nintendo made the main character of their Mario game Sonic. People don't buy a Mario game to play a Sonic game they buy it to play a Mario game. If people wanted a Sonic game they would go play a Sonic the Hedgehog game. If they wanted to see both of them in the same game together they would buy "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games".

You're the one that mentioned progressivism.

I've stated several times in the political forum that both extremes are driving politics into the ditch, it's just that you haven't been listening.

No, it would be like finding out Mario has had a vagina instead of a penis.

    • Windows 8 and Vista were far worse. Both of those got marginally better at the very end. Just look at their adoption rates and support life-span. If those versions had as much social media in their time they would have ripped apart unmercifully.
    • I must admit, this is probably the only game at the moment where I can see that $80 price point being ok. The issue will be when other developers think they can get away with it with half of the work.
    • Google Wallet expands TSA PreCheck Touchless ID access to more travellers by Fiza Ali Google has announced that Google Wallet is becoming the first digital wallet to integrate with TSA PreCheck Touchless ID. It is a programme that lets eligible travellers move through participating airport security checkpoints using facial recognition instead of showing a physical ID or boarding pass. While the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID programme has been available for some time, using it hasn't always been straightforward. The programme currently operates at 65 airports across the US, but participation has largely depended on flying with a limited number of airlines. Travellers also had to upload passport information separately through participating carriers. Now, the tech giant's new integration is designed to remove some of those extra steps. With the update rolling out in the coming weeks, travellers with TSA PreCheck membership will be able to enrol in Touchless ID through Google Wallet and use the service with any of the 100 airlines participating in the programme. Rather than repeatedly submitting identification details, users can store a digital ID in Google Wallet and use it to streamline future trips. Setting up the feature is relatively straightforward as well. The process starts with users creating a digital ID in Google Wallet using their passport information. After checking in for a flight and saving a boarding pass to the app, eligible travellers will see a "Get started" option that directs them to the TSA enrolment process. Once users choose to share their ID pass and boarding pass information with the TSA for a specific trip, the agency will verify the enrolment. If approved, a TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator will appear on the boarding pass stored in Google Wallet, signalling that the traveller can use designated express Touchless ID lanes at participating airports. As privacy and security are likely to be key considerations for many travellers, Google says users must explicitly opt in before any information is shared with the TSA, and authentication is required through a device PIN, pattern, or biometric verification. The company also notes that digital IDs stored in Google Wallet remain encrypted and are kept on the user's device. For frequent flyers who already use TSA PreCheck, the new integration could remove a few more steps from the airport security process, making travel slightly faster and a little less cumbersome.
    • Even though MS had to sunset the Windows Subsystem for Android, you can apparently use BlueStacks to run Android in Windows now. I haven't tested this yet, so if anyone has any feedback, I'd love to hear it.
