oh god, here we go with the negativety....
I find it perplexing that people would get all up in arms about a partially covered female breast, yet they don't give a **** about more important and pressing social issues in our nation... People need to ****ing grow up. And people that are pretending to be so damn offended should quit being such ****ing hypocrites.
its funny how this is a big deal for american television......I find that US television is the most censored POS I would ever imagine to watch...I mean, a nipple, big deal, look in the mirror, there's a nipple, I flick on ABC and see people getting killed all the time...which is worse?

I take it none of you had an 8yr old sitting next to you watching?

Was the act itself all that bad? No it wasn't, you can find plenty worse on tv mid-day. The problem lies with the fact that one shouldn't have to worry about their children seeing this during the Superbowl, or so they thought.

I dont have kids, So myself, Im not all that upset about it... but I can easily easily see how a parent, watching the game with their kid would be outraged. Also, the game was broadcast to who knows how many countries... while some are quite a bit more candid on what they show on tv, just as many are more uptight than the US. Now matter how you wish to view it... it was innapropriate for the Superbowl.

What I do find utterly amazing over the whole ordeal, is Timberlake insulting everyone's intelligence by stating it was an accident.

What I do find utterly amazing over the whole ordeal, is Timberlake insulting everyone's intelligence by stating it was an accident.

Timberlake will always be an absolute moron. Insulting no ones intelligence, making himself look like an ass by his statements.

Hell, its definitely not cool with parents present!!

My parents, my friend's parents, and his grandparents were all in the room when it happened. They're very religious people, and they dont even let their son get many video games cause theres too much violence.

I turned a bright shade of red when it happened.

If i had kids I wouldn't mind if they saw that, just like my parents weren't all "ooh no, there's a sex scene on tv, quick, cover your eyes". I understand everyones opinion on that kind of matter differ, but to me I believe its best (with moderation of course) to not be so sensitive about what children should see.

Grow up people. The only ones who got mad about this are christian mothers who control there kids and probably PETA, because I am sure in some way this harmed an animal. You have become so used to sensorship and trained like dogs. We did not see any of these closeups on the TV, not one person actually could see her nipple. Get a friend and stop whining.

Hey she's got to compete with that tart Britney Spears and the famous Kiss !

so she flashed a ###### and had a star covering her nipple !

Janet is Hot, total babe !!!!

But I still say Latoya Jackson & Michael Jackson are the same person.

She has a pierced nipple and I think the sun was a decorative nipple ring. I remember a few years back when she was releasing a new cd and the cover apparently had her nipple ring showing. Like this incident, it had people up in arms. I really cannot tell if this performance was stagged or not. The only thing that makes me think it was not staged was the fact that the camera taping them turned away pretty quickly after her shirt was ripped.

I do not see what the big deal is anyway. If you watch TV in foreign countries the girls are topless in some commericals. And those tabloid magazines sold in stores have naked people on the cover all the time.

cbs is just a ratings ######

survivor is the worst show ever because it started the whole not-real "reality tv" genre, which is utterly pathetic.

their sitcoms aren't funny at all. i was watching the commercials while i was waiting for the game to start (i never watch cbs) and i'm just thinking, "that's supposed to be funny?"

now with this stupid janet jackson thing, they've shot themselves in the foot as far as i'm concerned. keep the damn nudity in the tv-14/PG-13 shows and movies, NOT on public television :hmmm: and also, i had some respect for janet jackson because she's not much like her brother, but now... my respect for her has gone down (N)

edit: though it's not just cbs, it's tv in general. look at any of the shows on tv now, and the majority of them will either have nudity, controversial themes, language, lots of violence with blood... (note: damn, i'm turning into my parents :|) probably why i watch no more than a few hours of tv a week anymore.

Check out the pic

Ugh, censored crap. If we can't handle an old lady's ######, then America is no different then the clerics in the Middle East who tell women they can't show more than a face.

Here is what happened.

    • I like the show more options. The only problem with it is that it's not always in a consistent spot in the menu. If the copy/paste/cut, happens to show on top, then more option is the last in the menu. But if copy/paste/cut happens to show on the bottom, then more options is before the copy/paste/cut. But I do like the more options because it hides the stuff that I rarely use. But I would like to choose what it is or isn't hiding. That would make it better.
    • I wonder if "put it back the way it was for decades" ever crossed their minds? 🤣
    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
    • This is why competition must exist. Finally, pressure is mounting on Microsoft to move in the right direction.
    • Microsoft is making Windows 11's context menus faster, simpler, and configurable by Taras Buria Five years ago, Windows 11 introduced redesigned context menus, offering users a simpler, more modern design. However, customers quickly discovered that the new menus leave a lot to be desired. Many are unhappy with performance (they are really slow), while others dislike the double-layed design, where many options are hidden behind the "Show more options" button. In addition, over the years, menus became cluttered and overloaded. While Microsoft has already fixed plenty of pain points across Windows 11, context menus remain mostly unchanged. Fortunately, Microsoft is finally listening. Marcus Ash, Design and Research Lead for Windows at Microsoft, responded to a tweet on X, confirming that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are supposed to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." What the latter means is unknown, just like whether Microsoft plans to keep the classic menu alongside the modern one, but according to Marcus, the wait should finally be over soon, as he promised to "share our approach soon." Improved context menus will most likely appear first in Windows 11 preview builds in the Experimental Channel. While we wait for Microsoft to release them, you can try fixing context menus on your PC with a simple tool called Windows 11 Context Menu Manager. It lets you disable entries you do not need, not only cleaning up context menus, but also making them significantly faster. Microsoft has already improved Windows 11's Start menu and taskbar, so hopefully it will address user criticism of the context menu as well. Stay tuned for new Windows 11 preview builds, which usually arrive every Friday.
