This man is dedicated that's for sure. Running and caring for 1 company is a full time and life consuming affair. For him to be dealing with TWO (Tesla/SpaceX) and doing well at both is amazing to me. I have enough trouble just running my own company.

All of this on-top of doing interviews, tweeting, and dealing with lawsuits.

That man is a machine.

There is also Boring, SolarCity (Which is now Tesla), OpenAI, Neuralink and he has 5 sons to help look after.

And it's not just engineering; it's applied physics and materials. Some of the rumored stuff pegs the weird poo-o-meter.

They patented yet another battery chemistry last summer, with more in the works...

Supporting the mass of header tanks at the top of each main tank seems like a really challenging task. Is there any advantage to this than adding another common bulkhead in each tank? Or does it have to be done this way to help with boiloff?

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.

    • No thanks! WebView trash is unacceptable. I only use software that's native.
