A reusable orbital Starship flight this year? That'd shake things  up  😃

Starship SN-01's propulsion module is at the pad for cryotreating & tests. The cargo module/nose cone is being stacked. Starship SN-02 parts have been seen, so they're on a tear

Getting the crane & load spreader ready to place SN-01  on the test pad.

RIP Starship SN-01

Looked like the lower LOX dome let go during liquid nitrogen testing, "launching" the rest.

SN-02 parts are waiting in the wings to be stacked with weld upgrades per an earlier post, and the SN-03 thrust structure is being built.

Nose Cone 2 is being stacked.

There weren't livestreams back when Falcon 1 and Falcon 9 development tanks rolled across the McGregor Texas landscape, usually in many pieces 😅

SN-02 is being stacked, so expect another set of tests in short order.

SN-02 dome/thrust structure test tank is nearly ready - the big blue Roll-Away transporter arrived March 4.

Also, SN-03 build and a new nose cone, perhaps for the 20km test.

Dial down the audio - machinery warning beeps

👍

To build the Super Heavy booster they'll use many of the same rings, domes and other parts from Starship - a high degree of commonality.  That said, the engine bay will be very different, possibly 10+ meters instead of 9 meters and with 6 fin/legs.

High Bay 2 will give them a work space, platforms, and elevators high enough to stack the 70 meter (230') tall Super Heavy first stage.

This is the same height as fully stacked Falcon 9 or Heavy. Musk recently tweeted the full stack, Super Heavy + Starship, will be 120 meters (393' 8.4").

Now add a launch platform & thrust diverter up to 30 meters tall.
