FAA Operations Plan Advisory for Feb. 26 includes a SpaceX Starship launch,

No Evacuation notice has been given so likely another SF at this point

Well ... they nailed the landing ... now just gotta keep it from undergoing a RUD after landing.  :)

Will be interesting to see what the cause was ... wouldn't doubt if the bottom tank got breached by flame.  It seemed like it was still cooking a little after landing ... the "launch" appeared to be the bottom tank releasing its contents (methane?).  Just my observation.

Looked like some legs didn't lock when they deployed, causing it to land hard and stand on a rear fin. Then a leak (lines? tank?) caused the post-landing fire which a while later blew the tanks.

These were Legs v1.0 with improvements in SN-11, and further upgrades should be in in SN-15. SN's 12-14 have been scrapped as SN-15 makes the early vehicle design obsolete. SN-11 should roll out soon, with SN-15 stacking in the High Bay.

This is 'hardware rich development,' which is a bit like Whack-a-Mole; build, launch, break, fix, repeat.

SpaceX's Principal Integration Engineer/webcaster "Big John" Insprucker refers to the belly flop a the "Adama Maneuver" and former astronaut/head of SpaceX Commercial Crew Garrett Reisman seconded it. Guess that makes it official 😃

I'm sure Elon said they were still working on leg concepts so the fact the thing stood as long as it did was pretty amazing.

I saw a tweet from Michael B from NSF that there are road closures coming on Monday so he's speculating that might be SN11s rollout to the pad then.

The next leg iteration isn't "the big one" but that's coming.  And yes, the SN-11 rollout should happen next week.

Meanwhile, the Super Heavy thrust puck testing hardware is arriving. Part of Super Heavy BN-1 is in the High Bay behind SN-11.

Well, well...

SpaceX will partner with NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, to capture imagery and thermal measurements of its Starship vehicle during orbital re-entry over the Pacific Ocean. With the data, the company plans to advance a reusable thermal protection system, which protects the vehicle from aerodynamic heating, for missions returning from low-Earth orbit, the Moon, and Mars.

Updated SpaceX Boca Chica site plans were found on an Army Corps of Engineers site, about 29 mb.

    • "Revelation?" I was hoping for this episode to be called "Reunion". Oh, well... In a related note, the Final Fantasy VII compilation has received an EC entry, short for Ever Crisis. For those who don't know, it already had AC, BC, CC, and DC entries, short for Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. I hope it doesn't get an FC entry becaude that would be a freakin' crisis.
    • Uh, after intense testing now, 'Samsung Browser' is not the best one outside of 'Microsoft Edge' after all. Opera Air is that. It has "some" bloat, but it's far less than what both Microsoft Edge and Brave browser have.
    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Resident Evil, Mafia, Like a Dragon, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic concluded its mystery giveaways this week with another double freebie promotion. As a part of this, you can now grab Rogue Waters and Songs of Conquest to keep. Songs of Conquest is a turn-based 4X strategy game where you'll be managing a kingdom, making tough decisions, and taking down enemy forces in tactical combat. Meanwhile, Rogue Waters is a roguelike where, as a pirate captain, you command a ship and crew through procedurally generated encounters. The double giveaway is coming to an end on June 11. On the same day, Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks will join in as the next freebie. Another Humble Choice offer was revealed earlier this week, bringing a refreshed eight-game selection to jump into. The June selection is Octopath Traveler 2, The Riftbreaker, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, INDIKA, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Construction Simulator, Hell Clock, and Overlooting to keep as Steam keys. The $15 bundle gives you all eight games from this month's Choice selection. The month-long promotion will come to an end on July 6, giving you ample time to decide on whether you want the titles. The Humble Store also brought in standard gaming collections this week. The IGN Live Bundle kicked things off with games like Control, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, Blair Witch, Rollerdrome, and The Last Campfire for $10. At the same time, the We Will Always be Here bundle carried in titles like Bad End Theater, Thirsty Suitors, Vampire Therapist, and Tavern Talk for $12.
