Shocking, that a stupid big ass wiper would lead to the wiper motor burning out.  Apparently you aren't supposed to put RainX (or similar) on the windshield due to the camera(s).

So, not only was it designed by Homer Simpson, but was built by him too? Figures... ;)

But, in all seriousness... How about a sensible review from someone who actually knows what they're talking about when it comes to EV's and trucks?

TLDR, it's a bit sh*t... ;)

It has zero chance of passing EU safety regulations as it is, so any rework is going to make it largely unrecognizable.  For a start, it's FAR too big for most European roads, and there's zero chance those sharp edges are going to pass inspection either... Car's in Europe have to be designed for not just the safety of the people inside, but those outside as well.

Talk about being trapped in a slow-cooker…

DocM's next post will explain why it's absolutely right that his Tesla is sat on the bottom of the ocean, how other manufacturers are also trialling it, and you just don't understand.

Probably also produce a poll from Rose DeWitt Bukater about how many people can fit on a floating wooden door...

I am sure @DocM will find a toddler being trapped in a Tesla with a dead battery just collateral damage.

The first thing I would do is ask why they didn't read their manual. The door locks are powered by a regular 12 volt battery, not the drive system battery. 12 volt batteries can and do fail, in any car. The specifics vary by model but,

There is a way to manually open the frunk (front trunk). In there is a panel which can be removed to give access to the 12 volt battery.

Apply jumper cabless, or you can get one of those battery powered jump starters and connect it. Now open your door using the card or app. Let the jumper stay on to recharge the 12v battery, then have the battery checked.

....hehe...needing to read a manual to open a cars door....

Predictable response.

Guess you missed the part where many cars are moving to keyless entry and push button starting.

What other vehicles do not have a physical key to gain entry?  Sure...my vehicle is keyless entry and push button start...but there is a physical key in the FOB.

...also didn't need to read the instruction manual on how to open my damn door.  If the battery was dead in the Tesla...why did it lock the doors on exit with such little 12v juice remaining.  Odd.

...also, also...probably just be quicker to bust the window than jumping the car while the child is roasting in Arizona heat.

    • It is, but it also has a bad performance reputation even on high-end gaming PCs. Some people say it's the engine's fault, others say it's the games developers' fault, who knows... At the end of the day, for the average gamer, the take is this: PC game with Unreal Engine 5? Be affraid and cross your fingers, it's a 50/50 chance.
    • 25th anniversary Xbox Series X unveiled with classic translucent green design by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The Xbox Games Showcase had a new Xbox console reveal from Microsoft celebrating the gaming brand turning 25 years old. This is to be a new limited edition Xbox Series X and controller collection that draws on the design of the rare green version of the original Xbox console. The "XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition" is coming out later this year with its matching controller. "Inspired by the look and feel of the original XBOX console, both the console and controller feature a translucent OG Green design, with subtle tributes to the journey we’ve been on together," said Microsoft in the announcement. The Xbox Series X|S line has received several new variants over the years, but this will be the first edition with a translucent design. The Xbox Series X25 will have one terabyte of internal storage and a green light on the X to signify the console lines' history. There is a 25th anniversary logo printed on the front plate. Microsoft is also teasing that the community will be able to find "a few hidden surprises throughout" the machine as well. As for the new X25 Special Edition Xbox controller, this is also coming with the classic translucent green design for its front and back plates. "From the original ABXY colors, to the timeless green, every detail calls back to the beginning, including the bumpers honoring the original black and white buttons on the original “Duke” controller," says the company about this release. "The back case and battery door are fully transparent, revealing the classic XBOX logo." The XBOX 25th anniversary collection, containing both the translucent console and controller, will be available for purchase in November 2026 as a limited-edition release. Microsoft will be offering the new XBOX Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition separately as well. Pricing details and pre-order information will be coming later.
