The site no longer accepts .mp4

Are we really in need of a queue of users saying “I can/can’t play the video”. It’s client codec related. End of story.

Meowing uploads are not “processed” in any way, they are just stored and delivered. Why is everyone absolutely overthinking this?

I also can’t play them, but I also know it’s an issue on my end. 

As noted, the videos are encoded with the H.265/HEVC codec. This codec is encumbered by expensive licenses. Playback support is spotty. H.264 is a better choice for broad compatibility.

Then all iDevices are missing the necessary codec, QED.
