With Apple's services business going sky high, it appears the company's newfound hobby is to add a subscription wherever it can. It has already done with the Apple One and AppleCare One bundles, which combine different services into a single monthly subscription.
In its latest move, the Cupertino giant has launched Apple Creator Studio to bundle all of its creative apps across video editing, music production, creative imaging, and visual productivity, and is meant for creators from different verticals.

These are the apps included in the Apple Creator Studio:
- Final Cut Pro (Mac and iPad)
- Logic Pro (Mac and iPad)
- Pixelmator Pro (Mac and iPad)
- Motion (Mac)
- Compressor (Mac)
- MainStage (Mac)
Apple Creator Studio will bring new AI features and premium content for creators across Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, and its iWork apps. The subscription will unlock access to new templates and themes in Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, as well as a new Content Hub featuring curated, high-quality photos, graphics, and illustrations. These perks will also arrive on Freeform later this year.
There are new features in Final Cut Pro, such as Transcript Search, which lets you type phrases to find the exact or related results. Visual Search can save time spent skimming through footage and help pinpoint exact moments by searching for an object or action.
Logic Pro is getting a new Sound Library with hundreds of royalty-free loops, samples, instrument patches, drum sounds, and more. The Pixelmator Pro image editor was already available on Mac, but now Apple is launching its iPad version with support for touch, Apple Pencil, and a new Warp tool.
Apple Creator Studio will be available on the App Store from January 28 for a subscription fee of $12.99/mo ($129/year). There will be a one-month free trial for all new subscribers and a three-month trial for those who buy a new Mac or a qualifying iPad (with at least 6 GB of memory and an A16, A17 Pro, or M-series chip or later).
Apple said that it will continue to offer one-time purchase versions of Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and other apps. Those who purchased any of these apps in the past can install them on their devices alongside the Creator Studio version. Apple will separate them by using different icons.
Also, users can keep using the free versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Freeform on iPhone, Mac, and iPad, but without the intelligent features or other perks.
Apple Creator Studio can be shared with up to five other family members for free. Students and teachers will be able to buy Apple Creator Studio for $2.99 ($29.99/year) through Apple's education offerings without family sharing.
