Yay for updates!  Just a reminder, don't forget about the horizontal offset for AM/PM!

The minutes and am/pm are perfectly aligned in both standard and cleartype mode. So I don't think there is a need for a horizontal offset for AM/PM.

agree, for PM. but AM could use a single pixel on the left side. I suppose PM would look "better" that way too. anyone agrees?

Edit > No aggression or offence here, it's just a suggestion ;) I'm one of those too which are fighting for the rights of pixels. WE WANT A FREE PIXEL! WE WANT A FREE PIXEL! :D

Yeah, I think it should be over to the right just a little bit. If it was possible to align it on the right side, but with the #s changing every minute I guess it wouldn't be. Still perfect :D I don't really use AM and PM too much anyway.

If you can tell if it's night or day, then you need to move (For you people near the poles who get sun all day :p )

Uuuhmm... NO!

if you can't tell if it's night or day, then you should lift your eyes and look through that square in the wall.

if you can see something (it's called "real world", I know, strange, but, uuhm... nevermind) it's called "day". this means, if your provider charges night/day differently, the electricity your computer is using is expensive and the internet is slow because of all the n00bs using it.

if you can't see anything, then, everything is allright :shifty:

so basically you could do it that way too: internet slow = day, internet fast = night.

Would it be possible to have an option to put the day of the week like : SU/MO/TU/WE/TH/FR/SA , instead of PM/AM ????

I would be cool for those who use a 24h clock.

I prefer it if Rcube does not bloat this program because I believe the purpose of this program is to customize the system default clock's appearance and so far it does the job very well. :)

I agree completely on that. It's only using 388k of ram and no cpu on this machine

and I personally would like it to stay that way :D

<edit> but to make the date visible somehow in there would be the only thing I'd like to see added

to me that would make it complete imho</edit>

regarding the last 3 posts in here: I like the clock to be as it says in the thread title: Longhorn Systray Clock

it's perfect the way it is, and I strongly recomment not adding *groundbreaking* (whatever that is :laugh: ) features.

sure, the clock can be developed further, but then I say there should be another thread because the clock should be as it is in here.

Ok next version of LClock will get "horizontal offset for AM/PM".

As for the other features...I might add it, if it doesn't deviate too far from the current clock.

Yay! It's not needed too much. What you have is enough, but that would be great :D

- When in 24hour mode, AM/PM changes to Day of the Week: SU/MO/TU/WE/TH/FR/SA

So when you are in 24 hour mode, AM/PM will change to day of the week. To display it, go into the LClock control panel tool and make sure "Show AM/PM or Day of the Week" is checked.

Neat app!! Far better than TClock :D Thanks!!

The only thing that I miss from TClock is the possibility to edit the context menu in tcmenu.txt, you can put your own shortcuts in there;

      I think the car analogy is more this: Left hand drive, basic commands on the left side of the infotainment screen. Right hand drive, basic commands on the right side of the infotainment screen. Granted, you're not swapping between the two often so it's doesn't really work. But it's to do with the proximity of you (your mouse, or the driver) to the controls.

      I mean, the old one was broken and so stupidly complex for many users, so I don't see that as a feasible option. A context menu needs to be simple to use, and for me the Windows 11 style actually worked really well for me, and many others. I used to have to scroll the damn context menu just to get to "file properties" in Windows 10. That was not a good experience, and I'm sure you'd agree. What they're trying to do is make it the best of both worlds, as clearly you'd prefer the Win10 style. I'm curious how they're going to do this.
