Just found this. Nice program, but I've got a suggestion:

It'd be nice to make your own customized format for file names. For example, I'd like my filenames to be "desktopYYYYMMDD.*" where YYYY represents the year, MM represents the month, and DD represents the day. I don't seem to be able to do this in the current version.

I'm not sure how difficult it'd be to implement something like this, so if it's too hard, don't worry about it, but if it's a simple thing, it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Love your app ultima.

I already created desktop shots with neoshooter (which works really well by the way) but I forgot to take thumbmails with info on it. Is there a way to make thumbmails based on already taken shots ? If I already have the PNG... is there a way to create a thumbmail from that file with the file info ?

thanks.

is there any way to change the tray icon? i tried reshacking it but then it gives an error saying it is no longer a win32 application (something like that) so its not possible to run it...maybe include this option in the next release? thanks :) ..great program..i can't believe i've only just started using this!

I'm really glad I saw this thread. :)

Suggestion: Saving pictures according to the computer date, with formattable settings (like 04_05_06 or 04/05/06). :) Very nice and useful application - thanks a lot!

*Plays with the zoom window*

Tray hiding doesn't work perfectly I see. :( When a balloon comes up it no longer hides. Also with the balloons turned off.

Sorry if this was posted already. :)

bug(?) - Whenever I take a screenshot, the files is always 1.71 MB. This is for jpegs. I even lowered the "JPEG Quality" setting to 1%(!!!), took another screenshot, but it still was 1.71 MB...

suggestions:

1) Screenshots of custom area

2) Lower memory usuage

otherwise, a great app! Thanks!

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
    • eh I'll wait for the June 2026 MVS ISO downloads which should be coming out next Tuesday June 16 and possibly contain build 8655 instead of 8653
