typical bush-ite

cant be bothered to read.

Can't be bothered to read 136 pages of posts spanning over a week at all hours of the day? That is true. However, only ignorance could cause you to make a comment like that. Hypothetically, even if only business owners supported Bush, do you think that none of them can be bothered to read? No, they work their butts off reading more than you probably even want to think about reading. Expand that support base to everybody else who supports Bush, and I think that you'll find that most people who support Bush do indeed read a lot.

His guide isn't clear. Use mine

Guide

What you need to do is type in shell and press enter and then type pdisk. Are using darwin though? You need darwin for the boot fix.

my guide isn't clear ehh .. Thanks !!

Did you really read it though ? I sure read yours .. I don't think its more clearer than mine in anyway.

And you are still mentioning darwin there ..which isn't necessary at all.

btw.. we are not competing here .. I am just here to help others.

I'm starting work on my Frontend. Attached is a screenshot. So far, I have the properties working, and the basic style down ;-).

I'll be working on it more

Edit: When I'm ready to release a version, it will become open sourced, just want to make that clear ;-). My first open source application :ninja:. I figure, if PearPC is open source, why not make my app open source ;).

Errrr, can we keep the political stuff out of this thread? It's getting bloated enough as it is.

Werejag started it! However, sure, I'll stop bloating the thread ;) By the way, has anybody attempted to play any Mac games (such as EV Nova) using PearPC? Obviously they would run slowly, but can anybody get them to run at all? Also, how do device drivers for PearPC work? For example, how do you install video and sound card drivers for your "virtual mac"?

I'm not bink, I work for him (my name is Ryan).

Currently, I can't display the PearPC Video in the app, because PearPC doesn't support that type of thing. I'm going to be talking to the Win32 dev's soon about ways we can get around this. Maybe this could even become the full GUI ;-). Much more to come on the app; it's not even an ounce of what I want it to be.

I'm closing down for the night now, so I appoligize if I don't reply to more questions until tomorrow!

actually there is a working xbox emulator.

http://www.caustik.com/cxbx/

the latest version that'll be out will emulate at least turok at full speed.  there's even a video you can download showing it.  the xbox isn't that difficult considering it's x86.

So, how good is an XBox emu when it WON'T EVEN RUN RETAIL, COMMERCIAL GAMES?!?

IMHO, CxBx is what we call a "living abortion".

Okay, few more hours of work done, and here is another shot. I'm still going to be playing with the UI a bit more: the "Summary" section is incomplete, and the "Power Status" may become something else (I have a Status Control Sidebar already).

The GUI uses XML based config files to store the data, and when the user is ready to run PearPC, it creates a PearPC config file. I'm calling the XML file, ppcml (PearPC Markup Language) :D. When you go File -> Open, and open another config file, it gets a second tab with that virtual machine.

I'll keep working ;-).

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
