Mac OS X 10.3.5 is available now. Download here!

Here's the link for the Combo Update and here we have the latest Security Update dated from Aug. 09.

You can also download the Server Update, the Server Combined Update and the Server Admin Tools aswell as the Security Update for 10.2.8.

Choose whatever you need and have fun installing (via PearPC I s'pose :))

I'm not programming either. Just trying to get pearpc to use my network connection thats in my computer already. Ive been following tekmaven and someone elses builds. It's good to see theres some people back in this board, for a while it was just me and syntax_error. Have any of you gotten pearpc to work with osx yet?

I've had PearPC working almost since the beginning. I use OpenVPN 2.0 beta 2, running Panther, and Windows is set to Share my LAN connection with the TAP driver.

If you're using a home router, make sure to set its LAN address to something OTHER than 192.168.0.1 . Otherwise you'll conflict with Microsoft's Internet Sharing. Change it to 192.168.21.1 just to be safe.

Hi folks

I have finally succeeded to get MacOS 10.3 running in PearPc after trial and error procedure and extensive research in the internet as there is no complete guideline available anywhere to my knowledge.

I even succeeded to get an internet connection in my Mac client, but I can only reach my Router.

Any address not within my network times out. What do I do wrong?

I have set my wireless connection to share with Open VPN V8, put ppc on the firewall exeption list, but still don't get access to any www address.

Can anyone give me a hint?

Thanx

P.s. This is my first post, so please forgive me if my request is not complying to standards.

I think your having the same problem that I am. First i need to ask, did you set this up using internet connectiuons sharing in windows? When in OSX do you get an automatically assigned ip address from ICS? I can't ever get my OSX network card to get an assigned ip address, then the same things you mentioned, timing out, no page to display. I cant even get it to ping the tap adapter. I know part of my problem is 10.2.3, but im working on that. This is where me and syntax have been stuck for about two weeks.

I have installed the TAP Driver and set my Wireless connection to share the connection with the tap driver.

In OSX I have set the Router (Gateway) Address to the IP set in my TAP connection and then manually set an IP address. After having done that I have let automatically set up the IPvP6 connection and restarted the OSX.

Next time when started up I have changed the OSX settings to DHCP and got successfully an IP and connected to my Network.

The problem I have is that I CAN access my Router (DLink DI614+) and can access it via 192.168.1.1 but no site outside my network.

Any clue?

You might try setting your router(gateway address to that of your router. Thats the only thing I can think of is possibly your router isnt passing the request on to your is. I wish i could get mine to work that far, mine wont even get an address.

The guide at http://os-emulation.net/pearpc/web/ is fairly good.

It's up and running. It was not any mistaken setting but a conflict of the two network drivers (Creatix CTX404 WLAN 802.11b and TAP-Win32 Adapter V8). They somehow interfere with each other which results in timeouts in both the host and the guest OS. When I have started up the MAC Client I just have to open any www site in the Windows explorer (of the WINXP Host) which then takes up to 1 minute until I get an answer from my Router. Once I got the page loaded both the Client and the host work pretty stable with 2Mbits :D . Only from time to time I have to reload a page due to timeout.

Another strange effect I'm experiencing is that within MACX in either full screen mode or Window mode the keybord does not react as I wish but any key I press is invoking the Menue and navigating me wherever, but I can not input any text (an url for example).

Anyone knows how to fix that?

Um, you can use Virtual PC to run XP on a Mac, but you'll still need OS X since VPC is only a program. You can't boot straight to XP like a PC or anything. And it will be slow since its all being emulated.

    • Like the article stated, it's written completely from scratch, unlike the umpteen Chromium clones. It got its start as the browser built-in to the also written-from-scratch SerenityOS.
    • Hello, From looking at the screen shots in your motherboard's manual at https://endownload.colorful.cn/EnDownload/MotherBroard/2022/Intel 600/Manual/Intel 600 Series BIOS English/Intel 600 Series BIOS User Guide.pdf, you go to the ADVANCED option at the top of the BIOS (UEFI) menu, then select SECURITY in the list of options on the left.  From there  you can enable and set the Secure Boot mode. • Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 is getting a simultaneous release across PC and all consoles by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Square Enix showed up to the Summer Game Fest presentation today with multiple trailers showing off its next chapter in the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga. The final chapter of this trilogy now has an official name too, with it being dubbed Final Fantasy VII Revelation, following up Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth from recent years. Vincent Valentine, Cid, Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and more showed up in the trailers as they battle against enemies, or 'Weapons,' from the final chapter. "As the world teeters on the brink of annihilation, the final battle against Sephiroth begins," says the trailer description. "A meteor mars the sky, monstrous planetary guardians wreak havoc across the globe, and the fires of war rage. Now, Cloud and his companions must stand against this chaos to not only decide the planet's fate, but bring a legendary conflict to its conclusion." Following the reveal trailer, the show also dropped some gameplay footage that shows off a new way to travel across the open world using the Highwind airship. Players will be able to swap characters on during battles, use tactical mode to synchronize with allies, and summon their entities. Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine are joining the party this time too. “FINAL FANTASY VII, first released in 1997, has been beloved by fans for many years and has since become a “legend” in its own right," added producer Yoshinori Kitase. "The FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Series that began in 2020 with everyone’s passionate support is finally reaching its climactic finale with FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION. The story’s final destination represents my emotions spanning thirty years working on this title" One of the biggest revelations of this announcement, however, was the multiplatform release confirmation from the get-go. Square Enix will be releasing Final Fantasy VII Revelation across PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 in Spring 2027 without any timed exclusivity programs.
    • Hello, Having a simple utility to allow Microsoft's customers to configure the context menu, with a few options like showing the current menu, showing a proposed menu/alternate configurations, loading and saving the settings, and a "reset to default" option would have solved this. Let Microsoft provide a recommended default look-and-feel, maybe a couple alternative configurations, like a basic/simplified version of that, and a more advanced version for that, and that would have been very well-received, I think. Microsoft could even had offered a library of different configurations, similar to what they have done in the past for Windows Media Player skins, Themes, and desktop wallpaper.
