eesh, i'm with you ryan.

even though i know we'll have to wait for the coding and everything to be done...

i keep on asking "when will it be finished?" i really just want an approximation.

bah, but i understand that coders/programmers like toxikk doesn't want to, like he said "half-ass" it.

so i guess we're just going to have to continue anticipating.

and i'm sure if it gets well recieved, the 'skin' will go further onto the forum (so i hope! :p)

Will be before Duke Nukem Forever :p

Long, you are a sexy sexy man. I wish I could do half the work you could with imaging. If you need any help with the XHTML (transitional that is) work, let me know. Like I said, it's good, and I'd like to see it implemented if possible.

Also about the Flash tabs, I know it was mentioned a LONG time ago, but I think it was forgotten. What if the tabs rotated every 3 seconds or so (unless you clicked on one) so that users who are unfamiliar can see what it's for. I dunno, just my two-tenths hundredths of a dollar.

i am going for xhtml 1.0 strict ;)

3 seconds is way to short. how about user initiated?

Well, I can do strict work, but it takes so much extra work, so I offered transitional. Gah, now I have to re-read some stuff to make sure I remember strict...I'm so used to transitional....

Either way, I'm just going for a cycle idea. It needs to be long enough for them to scan it and hope something catches their eye, but long short enough so they realize it's changing before they perhaps click away somewhere else. I'm looking out for the newer users.

XHTML 1.1 is the latest standard if u wanna program with up to date code. But trust me, ur going to have a lot of fun, cos to me, it seems the W3 didn't take account of user interactive sites and server side langs. I find its complicated and not as flexiable as HTML, but I still code in XHTML 1.1. I would thou say u may prefer transitional because it requires neat code and is more flexiable to use.

is this being made into a forum skin as well would it be possible to change the background as the colour white/cream hurts my eyes ......?

the skin wont be default so if it hurts your eyes you can use the other skin. and forum a forum skin, check a few pages back.
