i got 2 problems really, the first is this

foobarerrorlt4.th.png

why is it splitting my album like that, checked tags there all fine. Can not pin it down.

Second problem i got is what colour is this to you lot FF8000 (should be a vibrant Orange yes?) so why is foobar coming back with a light blue lol

is there a way to extend the rows so that the album art is not chopped off on small albums?

I'm having some issues with my playlist sorting.

When I re-scan my media folders, and try to add newly added albums to my FULL playlist, these new albums aren't being sorted into the playlist correctly. For example, Kasbian is being placed at the bottom of the playlist, after every other artist.

All of my other files in the library are sorted by artist, then album name.

foobar uses BGR for hex colours, instead of RGB (don't know why...?), so try 0080FF, and it should give you the colour you want.

So for future reference, hex colour ABCDEF would be EFCDAB in foobar..

i guess the problem is with my code. i've hard coded it for myself - the image size is 150, and because the row height is 25, it needs a minimum of 6 tracks to draw the image - and my shortest album just happens to be 6 tracks......

sorry, but i haven't taken into consideration anyone else's record collection.....

maybe use a combination of reducing your image size, increasing your row height or use an if statement to determine the image size dynamically depending on %totaltracks% ?

hi, i reformatted my computer and when it came time to install foobar, i noticed there was a new version so i upgraded to 0.9.4. i am using em3's le config but i can't seem to get the rating stars to show up in the track info. is this because of the new foobar? the custom info component seems to still work as it loads with foobar. here is a pic of my foobar. any ideas on how to fix it?

can't edit my post...... nevermind. i've bodged together something quickly that sort of works. i'm sure there is a more efficient way of doing this......

keeping the row height of 25.....

$ifequal(%totaltracks%,3,$puts(imagesize,75),)
$ifequal(%totaltracks%,4,$puts(imagesize,100),)
$ifequal(%totaltracks%,5,$puts(imagesize,125),)
$ifgreater(%totaltracks%,5,$puts(imagesize,150),)

$imageabs2($get(imagesize),$get(imagesize),,$mul(%_height%,$add(%tracknumber%,-1)),,,5,,'nocover.png',)
$imageabs2($get(imagesize),$get(imagesize),,$mul(%_height%,$add(%tracknumber%,-1)),,,5,,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)folder.jpg,)

clipboard01kb1.png

you get the idea..... :p

btw you'll need to restart foobar after inputting the code...

I think you have to download the latest track info mod component, available here: http://users.bowie-cass.com/singa/foo_uie_trackinfo_mod.zip

Oh, and can you tell me what is your visual style please? :)

$imageabs2(150,150,,$mul(%_height%,$add(%tracknumber%,-1)),,,5,,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)folder.jpg,)

is there anyway to get the folder.jpg section to just read any jpg files ie *.jpg?

that new image size code now streches all the album art to fit the amount of tracks displayed, it does not rezise as set in the varibles

not as far as i know. i know the album art panel does that, but i don't think single columns playlist has that capability just yet. you can however add multiple lines of code and use variables such as tags......

<snip>$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)folder.jpg,)
<snip>$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)%filename%.jpg,)
<snip>$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)%title%.jpg,)
<snip>$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)%artist%.jpg,)

i just used irfanview to rename all my album art in one go using the batch rename feature. so all my art is called folder.jpg and i only need one line of code.... :)

are all your files tagged with %totaltracks%?

You can't. It's skinned by windows, so the post you had to act so lame to was actually the only right answer.

I know it's skinned by Windows, I'm just saying if there's a plugin that enables a slider that uses images, like a skin engine or something.

    • Close, but it is for any application starting, not just during boot time. In fact, it probably will not improve boot time at all because during a boot, the CPU is already boosting, so a pre-boost wouldn't change anything. I agree that it isn't exciting (especially considering every other OS already does it), but it is a good thing, even if they are just playing catch up.
    • Any so called performance increase will be in milliseconds, which nobody will actually notice in real world usage.
    • All it does is use the CPU more efficiently during boot to speed up boot times. That's it. Yawn....
    • It's not a one or the other kind of thing. Software should run efficiently, and the operating system should appropriately manage the CPU clocks. You could have the best most optimized software on earth, and it will still run faster if the CPU does a better job of boosting as needed. All this is doing is pre-boosting the CPU based on user actions, instead of waiting for the normal detection mechanism to kick in. If the OS knows it is about to need more CPU, why shouldn't it use that knowledge? It's the same idea of downshifting before passing someone, instead of just burying your foot into the peddle and waiting for the transmission to figure out what you want to do.
