Hey I just downloaded foobar2000 cause I saw how great everyone can make it look.

Is there a starting tutorial on how to customise it? Or is it better to trail through all of the threads in this topic.

Thanks.

EDIT:

No worries, I looked through most of the posts. found what I need :) I'm sure there will be many more questions from me in this thread. And can I just say, u guys are pro.

Really really nice em3! Made my own mod of yours already lol, nothing serious though!

Only problem i have is, it doesn't show the full track title, i looked through the code but couldn't find nothing, any ideas?

Here's mine so far.

^Maybe there is something wrong with the tagging on your mp3. I've inserted code to cut the text if it's too long (60% of the total trackinfo width) but I don't think that is the issue. I tested a lot to make it work correctly.

Nothing wrong with MP3 tagging, it's all done correctly :( It's really buggin me too! I've tried to change the value of totaltrack info width but no luck :(

Thanks anyways.

Try replacing the beginning of the global code with this. If it doesn't help it's most likely the track trimming that mess up, which I'm rewriting a little as we speak.

// Global
$puts(tracktitle,%artist% - %title%)

^Ok try this. I've rewritten the text trimming code. Replace all // Global code with the code below.

// Global
$puts(tracktitle,
$if($meta_test(artist),%artist%,$substr(%_filename%,1,$sub($strstr(%_filename%, - ),1)))
$if($or($meta_test(artist,title),$strstr(%_filename%, - )), - )
$if($or($meta_test(title),$not($strstr(%_filename%, - ))),
%title%,$substr(%_filename%,$add($strstr(%_filename%, - ),3),$len(%_filename%))))

$puts(freespace,$div($sub(%_width%,38,$calcwidth($get(tracktitle)),$calcwidth(%album%)),2))

$if(%album%,
$ifgreater($get(freespace),14,
$puts(areaWidth1,$add($calcwidth($get(tracktitle)),$get(freespace)))
$puts(areaWidth2,$add($calcwidth(%album%),$get(freespace))),
$puts(areaWidth1,$sub($muldiv(%_width%,60,100),30))
$puts(areaWidth2,$sub($muldiv(%_width%,40,100),10)))
,$puts(areaWidth1,$sub(%_width%,36)))

$puts(charWidth1,$div($calcwidth($get(tracktitle)),$len($get(tracktitle))))
$puts(charWidth2,$div($calcwidth(%album%),$len(%album%)))

Hope you like it.

And now for something completely different :shifty:

Any plans for releasing your Zelda Remix... I'm quite interested ^^

Tried it, it's just the same, it seems to be cutting the last word of each track title no matter how long or short the track title is? Apprciate all your hard work though!

@Primie:

Looks as if it's using ID3v1 tags, they have a maximum length limit..

If your music contains both ID3v1 and v2, try removing the v1 tags.

This may also occur if you have APE tags present (used by replay gain programs, sometimes)

You can change in the foobar preferences whether to use ID3v1 or v2 by default when tagging files (check under the advanced section).

It's already on ID3v2! lol.

How do you show the total number of tracks?

em3: Looks great, if I hadn't just set up a config I really liked then I'd switch...

Here's mine, the code is all on hydrogenaudio.

Does anyone know how to fix the problem with songtitles overlapping the track length?

If you use

$alignabs(X,Y,w,h,H,V)%title%

text should be cropped correctly

Hope that works!

From foobar wiki:

X & Y

Specify the position of the bounding rectangle (can be a negative value).

(W)idth & (H)eight

Specify the bounding rectangle for the text.

H & V

Specify the alignment as above.

edit: sorry for that big codebox, can't get it smaller....

    • Wow, imagine you dump hundreds of hours into completing things and unlocking stuff and you lose it all. Back in the day when cheats were built into games, you could at least unlock things again that way without spending hundreds of hours again. But those days are long gone for some reason as no one builds cheats into games anymore. So it's even more painful that studio that's on its 6th installment **** it up so badly.
    • Spotify finally removes the disco ball app icon in the latest update by Ivan Jenic Image: Spotify Spotify has just released an update that removes its now infamous disco ball icon. The update reverts the app icon to the familiar flat green logo after weeks of mixed reactions online. The icon arrived on May 13 as part of the company's 20th anniversary celebration and was always intended to be temporary, though Spotify only confirmed that after the backlash started. The disco ball took the internet by storm, as the reception was split. A vocal group of users called it ugly and disorienting, with some iOS users noting that the 3D glowing effect made the app look like it was stuck mid-update. On the other end, the icon picked up a following of its own. Its retro, three-dimensional look immediately stood out against the flat, minimalist aesthetic that has dominated app design for years. It even started a small movement, spawning what people started calling "discomorphism," a mashup of disco and skeuomorphism. Other brands started posting disco ball versions of their own logos, probably in an effort to ride the wave of memes that flooded the internet during late May. Spotify has had a turbulent relationship with its user base lately. Besides the disco ball icon, which certainly wasn't appreciated by everyone, the company has also received backlash for its willingness to include AI-generated music on its platform. On May 17, Spotify promised the old icon would return “in a few weeks.” And now it looks like that time has finally arrived. So, whether you liked the disco ball or it made you uncomfortable, it’s now gone for good. The next time you update the Spotify app on your phone, the old, flat-design icon will return.
