here's my latest one:

i get this error when i use your script

Scripting Engine Initialization Failed (GUID: 9B4112DF-2C5A-4156-B147-D39A80C5A8F3, CODE: 0x80020101)

Check the console for more detailed information (Always caused by unexcepted script error).

i like your layout just cant use it with that error code above

did you follow this step?

before you import the .fcl file make sure you go to tools>preferences>wsh panel mod and uncheck "safe mode".

if you still see an error, click the file button and you should see the console panel. copy/paste the error details from there.

and you are running this on a system with aero enabled? it won't work without it.

I found a skin on DeviantArt called SubjectBeauty and decided to mod it up a bit, adding in a search bar and chaning the UI slightly. You can find the download link in my original topic Here.

I like that theme. Also - Journey is one of the greatest bands ever !!

Ok, so I'm new to foobar2000 so excuse my noobieness. I have been playing with different plugins like esplaylists and others trying to get a specific configuration and just can't seem to do it. I wanted to see if anyone here could help with that. I would like it to be how I have it in this picture. It would be especially nice if where the albums are listed you could see a thumbnail of the album art.

Could someone please tell me how I can change the color of the black rectangle at the bottom? (the one where the media controls are put onto)

I looked through every script and every splitter setting and can't find anything.

Thanks in advance ;) (and don't worry, all for personal use^^)

Hi SkyDX

Right-click in the black area and choose "Splitter Settings -> Scripts...

Scroll down to:

$gradientrect(0,$sub(%ps_height%,80),%ps_width%,80,10-10-10,0-0-0,horizontal)

- and change the values to something different like this:

$gradientrect(0,$sub(%ps_height%,80),%ps_width%,80,210-210-210,95-30-30,)

Love from Natasha

Thanks Natasha, can't believe that I overlooked that line just because it had gradient in it and the black rectangle wasn't a gradient :p

You helped me alot, thanks again!^^

Simple Columns UI set up, btw if anyone knows how to properly add the spectrum visualisation to the bottom as i've shown with the red bar, please let me know :) T

It's fairly simple, but I like the long seekbar and volume control.

Not shown: handy global hotkeys :p

    • Bluesky COO warns social media regulations could destroy competition from small startups by Paul Hill Fears that increasing government control of social media risks regulatory capture by the biggest social media firms were raised again recently. Bluesky’s chief operating officer said in an interview that social media bans for children and tighter regulations for social media firms risk creating a world where there are only a few social media platforms run by companies with the deepest pockets. Regulations on social media firms have been very lax since they appeared for mainstream users in the 2000’s. This gave Meta, Snapchat, and Google time to build up their user bases and get entrenched, with Meta being the most successful. Now that Meta has succeeded, it has been attempting regulatory capture. By pushing for more regulations of social media, Meta hopes to make it more difficult for rivals to challenge it. For its part, it doesn’t need to worry about the cost of regulation because it has a lot of money to spend, whereas startups do not. Speaking to CNBC, Rose Wang, Bluesky’s chief operating officer, said: “I support the protection and the safety of youth, the question that we have then is at what cost, because essentially what I’m scared of is in the long term, we’re headed to a world where there’s about three to five platforms, and extreme heavy regulation of those platforms, and basically the whole compliance teams of these platforms are 10 times the size of our entire team. So, basically, we’re living in a world where it’s almost impossible for smaller entrants to come in and build healthier spaces. These platforms have led to a place where the bottom line is the thing that drives what they do... so I understand why governments have to step in and regulate, because the platforms have done nothing right.” She said that while she is not against regulation, there needs to be more channels between the small to mid-sized players and regulators to help protect them. She says that big tech players, on the other hand, “who we know are circumventing regulation,” need to be regulated. Essentially, the Bluesky position is one of nuance, rather than absolutes. While Bluesky’s proposal may preserve competition in the social media space, it still doesn’t address the massive privacy implications these age verification measures introduce, such as handing over sensitive identity documents to access age-gated content.
