Msn/Hotmail Ups Storage Space

Recommended Posts

Yeah that's what I'm saying. Legit or not (I know cream is a good source), the language in that letter is horrible.

Some of the sentences aren't capitalized

"alot" should be 2 words

"calls of customers" from customers, maybe?

"no expire date" again with the bad language translation

Uh huh. Can you please explain as to why when I created a hotmail alias for a web forum, not 10 seconds after setting up the bulk mail folders options I received 6 SPAM emails? (and this was BEFORE I gave anyone or any site the email) Is there proof that hotmail doesn?t sell it? Or is it said ?we don?t? just like many of the spyware companies that conclude that they don?t use spyware.

Your e-mail address was unfortunately generated by a spam bot which then started spam:)ng you. :)

Did you set your options so that you indicated you did NOT want to recieve special offers by Hotmail partners? I believe you have to OPT OUT of those. Then you should not get much of anything, especially if you set your spam filter to the extra high level (just below exclusive).

Personally I love hotmail, easy access, integration with MS products, even POP3 access with a little extra help from another program. I have NEVER gotten any spam, only the occasional MSN offer or Hotmail alert. This increase can only make it that much better. WOOHOO!! :)

Of course I opted out the optional sponsors. And last time I checked, MSN didn't have Viagra, Mortgage, and females names Brittany, and Volga living in the Netherlands who are wanting me to get down and dirty while I watch them screw barn yard animals sponsors. :pinch:

I am going to agree here, it seems like the language in the letter is horrible, I noticed this myself but wasn't too sure on whether to post it or not, I thought that it may have been something just minor.

You never know..? :ninja:

Some of the email spam is blindly sent to all hotmail users, regardless. I'm not sure of all the details, but I do know that once I opted out of everything (I double checked and found it had not stuck) and raised my spam protection level, it decreased my spam by over 95%. Plus, I don't stay logged in at the hotmail site. I use Outlook Express 6 to read hotmail without having to login and allow some of those "trapper" applications to read things on screen when you surf. I also surf with all scripting disabled by default.

I'm not sure what up, but I know that Hotmail has gotten better over time, especially after adjusting the settings. It may not be for everyone, but it works ok for me, and if they can up the storage and attachment size, I'm all for it. :)

Lmao :/

If the email has the little icon, it's official.

Unless someone knows how to put those icons in there...

I still hate Hotmail, they have adds on every single page you open.

Gmail is amazingly ad-free. The only adds being the text adds you get taking up 2% of the right side of the screen when you open an email ( Sorry, when you open a Gmail )

To BK:

I tried that and it just makes my computer fill up with SPAM.

Again, if you use Outlook Express 6 to check your hotmail, you don't see any ads, have to log onto any site or anything like that. It checks just like a POP3 account. I'm still stunned that more people don't seem to know about this. Baffling.

it's just that http access is so slow with outlook express

LoL

"There will be an official release to the press tonight in regards to these changes. until that official release, this must not be disclosed the public."

I hope we are not being made fools of. That would suck. :(

On the HTTP access, it is wicked fast on my system. It checks every like 5 or 10 minutes and takes hardly any time at all to check my accounts. I have one account for forums and one for newsgroups. Both usually check very fast. Nearly as fast as my regular ISP. I'm not sure why it would be slow on some systems and not on others. Odd stuff. Sorry for your trouble.

I am going to take creamhackered's post with a grain of salt. I dont believe that Hotmail would mis-spell their letter to their users but if cream says so, i believe that Hotmail has increased email space for its users.

It's not a message to customers but an internal message to support staff.

That said, with all the egregious errors (including the text meg instead of mb) I would say that it is fake.

    • Finally we can whole-heartedly recommend the AMD 9070 GRE thanks to this discount by Sayan Sen Earlier this month at Computex 2026 AMD released the Radeon RX 9070 GRE for a global audience. We reviewed the GPU and it scored 8 out of 10 for gaming and 7.5 out of 10 for productivity including things like AI performance. The card launched for $550 which we thought was a bit on the higher side, though currently you are getting the chance to get the Gigabyte Gaming variant of the GPU for just $500 thanks to this discount (purchase link under the specs table down below). As such we can finally whole-heartedly recommend this GPU. The card employs Gigabyte's WINDFORCE cooling system which combines multiple design elements such as alternate-spinning Hawk fans, a vapor chamber, and composite heat pipes to manage heat dissipation. The Server-grade Thermal conductive gel further helps in this department. The inclusion of a semi-passive cooling mode allows the fans to remain inactive under low workloads, which allows for reduced noise operation during lighter usage. There is dual BIOS switch that allows toggling between performance and silent modes. The technical specs of the Gigabyte Gaming RX 9070 GRE OC is given in the table below: Specification Value Boost Clock Up to 2920 MHz Game Clock Up to 2340 MHz Stream Processors 3072 Memory Clock 18 Gbps Memory Size 12 GB Memory Type GDDR6 Memory Bus 192-bit Memory Bandwidth 432 GB/s Card Bus Interface PCI Express 5.0 Max Resolution 7680 × 4320 Max Displays (Multi-view) 4 Card Dimensions 288 × 132 × 50 mm (L × W × H) Recommended Power Supply 700 W Power Connectors 2 × 8-pin Display Outputs 2 × DisplayPort 2.1a 2 × HDMI 2.1b Get it at the link below: GIGABYTE Gaming Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12GB GDDR6 GPU (GV-R907GREGAMING OC-12GD): $549.99 + $50 discount with promo code in mail => $499.99 (Sold and Shipped by Newegg US) This Newegg deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified. This is a first-party seller link (at the time of article publishing); ensure that you also purchase from a first-party seller link only.
