I doubt it, right now their biggest expense is the shipping costs of gifts, making a cd, box and product key for them is pennies. Having to run through a check of each company to see if it exists is not really cost effective for them, if the amount of leachers get to the point where they are not seeing a benefit they would just stop giving out gifts.

Plus its microsoft, I am sure they are getting a business writeoff or something out of this.

I agree but I think they might do random checks or have it check if you use the same address or they might check custom companys.

If some one use Student and gets it then we know it is a random check.

And Frax ^^^ go into "My Profile" and then click on training. It will tell you which courses you didn't pass. (Someone hasn't read the other thread, tsk tsk! heh)

i'll probably end up getting nothing considering most of us put fake companies such as "student' or "home". i doubt that microsoft is going to take a random check on it, but instead just not send it to anyone that does have a "student" or "home" company name, but hey, if they do send it, then slap me silly can call me bananas! :D

I passed the "quiz" saturday evening, ordered my XP pro.......will I be ticked if I don't

get it, nope.........after all, it's free, only took about 20 minutes....in which I wasn't doing

anything anyway. Somehow I get the feeling on monday morning, when MS opens its doors

for business, they are going to look at how many free things they need to give away and say

WHOOPS.....somehow a bunch of people who weren't suppose to be on this website got on here,

registered, and took a test in which the law of averages didn't prevail. Hummmmm......better

check some of these "winners"......I would suspect that a bunch of people won't be getting

anything. No biggie......if some do, congrats! If the rest don't........don't be surprised.
