There's a lot of new... things going on in the site. It's definitely Halo. I can tell that for sure now. Too many Bungie references to dismiss that fact. There's ONI discussion, interplanetary warfare, and some kind of Trojan horse- which I'm guessing is that girl, "The Operator", if they happen to be the same person. She used to talk about having surgery done on her, and her head being full of sand. Now it's full of honey and she's got a stinger and a tentacle (which also happen to be some qualities of the Flood). So, either there's something big with the Flood involved... or she was surgically altered to become some kind of Trojan horse- I'm guessing for another Halo invasion or maybe for a spy operation on the Covenant. Unless the Covies are the ones who altered her. It's all still very cryptic.

Man, this is getting good.....

nice work there. i never really got too much into the story, so i would have never figured that out :laugh:

Bungie's already said they're coming back :p

They also said they're making their AI a lot more intense and realistic- that way they don't just run right into you flailing their arms.

ilovebees.com is getting intense now.

Awwww :( I find them so damn annoying! >_< But well... I'll just kick their asses and I'm happy again ^_^

Btw, are all these Bungie press statements about Halo 2 just on their website? I should check it out..

I'm just a lowly Halo fan.

Cortana's (?) leaving messages now, apparently trying to fight the Spider. She also makes references to "being glad she left" and a doctor- which sort of confirms that the Spider and the doctor are the same being. Or at least, that's my take on it.

There also seems to be another AI, and something pretty harsh must have happened to Cortana. There are a few instances where the Spider "probes" her mind and sees some things. Who knows? Cortana might turn out to be the Trojan horse. That's sort of been my theory ever since I finished Halo. Bungie likes rampant things, as evidenced by Durandal in Marathon. AIs in the Halo universe have a seven year life span before they "think" themselves to death. Cortana absorbed a lot of information on Halo, reducing her life span by an unknown amount and slowing down her processes. Then in First Strike, she took apart and reassembled a Covenant AI and stole a lot of little tidbits from it, including a Covenant-to-English translating system, the Covenant plans to enter Earth's solar system, and the ability to copy herself. That drained her of even more power. So my guess is, her life has been cut down considerably. Who knows how long she has left? Also, her performance slowly decreases as she tries to sort through all the absorbed information she possesses.

Well, she might be the Operator. This enemy AI that seems to have infected the whole ilovebees system might be the Spider and the doctor. I could have been wrong in thinking that the Operator was Kelly, who might have been the girl "behind enemy lines". The supporting facts I have for this include the memory losses and invasions that seem to keep ocurring to her, the fact that she can summon databanks at will, and that she possesses knowledge of things both recent and years old. Kowalski is also mentioned in her memories, lying to a girl he seems to like. Lying about what? The favorite games of the Spartan project. He himself isn't lying I don't think, but the AI- damn, I just realized something. Cortana is inside a suit, probably that girl's. So I might have been kind of right before. Cortana keeps complaining that she can't move, only watching as she's being shot at and shooting- but she herself isn't shooting. This would sort of make sense, but then there's a counterargument I've just thought of:

Cortana says she's only alive because of the Spider, because of its constant ducking and evasion. Maybe she's been taken by that enemy AI or Kelly has, like I theorized, become a trojan horse- either a bee or a spider.

Anyway, back to my point. Whoever is having these flashbacks seems to dislike Kowalski- or else they're memories have been altered. There is mention of the Spartan project as it happens, which might mean that these are either memories from the first Spartan project, or current events during the second group of super soldiers. There is mention of playing tag and red rover, both games that were mentioned in The Fall of Reach, the book that chronicled the Spartan project's first group of kidnapped children.

Damn, I accidentally hit refresh while reading a message about Kowalski talking to someone about the Operator. I can't seem to get it again, either. Oh well, missed that point.

There's someone who says they play to win- the philosophy John-117 lives by. But I don't think it's him. I think Cortana has absorbed some of his memories and that she's confused and muddled because of the intrusive force. Anyway, it also talks about being a sore loser- something Cortana clearly is.

The Spider is a tool says Cortana. Well, she would. She likes feeling superior. But I think she realizes that it's very primitive compared to her. She mentions it not realizing how low supplies are, that it was unaware of the "Assassin", another character I haven't yet put a finger on (but that I'm thinking is the Trojan horse). She goes on to say it's only just a tool....

... Which is funny, because there's a message that says something along the lines of, "I remember when I didn't used to be only a tool". Maybe the Spider is more congnitively aware than Cortana thinks.

Man, this is good stuff. Props to whoever put it together. I'm racking my brains over it.

* I don't know anything for sure. Naming these characters Cortana and Kelly could be completely off basis. But this is all I can think of that actually fits.

That's where I get a good deal of my Halo info from.

I forgot to mention before that there is talk of a planet being glassed and all sorts of other things tying into Halo's story, including a mention of Reach "burning like a lantern of hope". I don't exactly think one of the good guys would consider humanity's last stronghold burning to be hopeful, so maybe that statement was by the enemy. I'm confused about that, however, because it seems Cortana said it while she was being searched by the Spider. Those two seem to be having a game of hide and seek, neither one being able to come out on top.

Gah! Too... much... thinking...

Maybe the Spider is a Covenant AI in its purest form, without being weakened by subsequent copies? Am I crazy?

The Operator is an unknown entity, but I think it must be an AI or an AI subroutine. It might be a pilot or commander of some sort, but I'm starting to doubt that. Kelly was one of the Spartans... but Dr. Halsey, the kind old lady who started the whole project abducted her because of reasons as of yet unknown. The only detail that was revealed about the "kidnapping" was that Halsey discovered a strange, unique genetic makeup within the Spartan- different from any of the others, and I'd probably guess the same for most of humanity.

Halsey stole a stealth cruiser and took off with Kelly right before the Covenant attacked the asteroid belt they were stationed at. John and the others in his group escape, but they allow the Covenant to destroy and kill everyone who inhabited the rock.

As for more ilovebees speculation... the name Dana is mentioned, though not in one of the cryptic messages. At first I didn't think much of it, but when you take a gander at The Legends of Charlemagne and you find....

The loving Fairy, Morgana, had had the art to

change it, and to substitute one of her own procuring, and when

Charles drew it out of the scabbard, these words appeared written on

the steel: "My name is Cortana, of the same steel and temper as

Joyeuse and Durindana."

DurinDana.

Too... much... thinking.....

He's a character in a book who wakes up one morning and turns into a bug. I haven't read it, so I couldn't tell you why.

well... so far nothing big has happened. its possible that something will happen when the countdown reaches 0.

Well the ilovebees site now has a bunch more new hidden messages now that "Phase 1" has been completed. What I found most interesting is the about page which now has a large blurred picture of Dana on it. But as that isn't wierd enough check out the filename... killer.jpg. Don't believe me? Anyway, I think the killer thing would fit in. Durindana. Dana. Connection? Cortana was the sister blade of the Joyeuse and the Durindana. Dana and Joy, maybe? Killer, as in the enemy entity fighting Cortana?

Could Dana be the key?

Ok I've got a few more links that a friend sent me... First off is the Netninja Bee Log. They've got a crap load of info there and even mention the killer.jpg (and I thought I was the 1st to notice that). It's a lot more complex then just the image name though... check it out.

Next is a link to an image of the official xbox magazine which is due to come out on August 24th with Halo 2 mentioned on the cover. Coincidence? Maybe. link
