Sk8Surfr
Finally took the big step! Uninstalled Norton and installed NOD32! I notice a huge difference as my computer seems much faster! Now the question! I used to use the system tools like win doctor, disk check, disk cleanup, and all those goodies. What do you reccomend to replce all those files? :: Lyon ::
I'd recommend uninstalling all of those, and get TuneUp Utilities 2004 (it has a 1-click-maintenance feature that will check all of your registries, temp internet files, etc. That will keep your windows clean enough). I used to be a fan of Norton too: - Norton AV for my antivirus - Norton speeddisk for my defragmenter - Norton windoctor/diskdoctor for my system's housekeeping Now I have totally swapped to: - NOD32 (I hesitated first like you because I've never heard about this company before) - TuneUp Utilities 2004 - Diskeeper

blenheim
I just swirtched to NOD after using both Norton and Kaspersky. Cost me ?23 for a years subscription, I think it's currentl ?15 for renewals. NOD32 is the first AV solution where I've been able to leave the real time scanner running without noticing any slow down whatsoever. On demand scan times are unreal compared to anything else I've ever used. Money well spent I think.
zipgenius
I never used NAV because I watched it running on my friends' machines and found it really heavy. That's why I always used free AV: - InoculateIT P.E. (R.I.P. :) ) - AVG 6 Free Ed. - Antivir P.E. - Now: Avast 4.1 Home Edition
