Hmm this isn't new, I've seen artist lipsing on the show for years, notice sometimes they start singing then just do some stupid crap... Whats new?

Was funny though, I think her dancing will kill her more than the lipsinging lol

most of the "rock" groups don't lip synch though...

I never heard of her as "rock" but whatever.

I know why she lipsynced though... Anyone remember seeing the advertisements for her show on MTV and she kept have to restart the track because as she was recording, her voice would break or squeak? I bet this is what happened there. She figures what she has is the best she can sing it, and she's afraid she can't do any better...

what's funny is that she's been quoted in interviews saying "I'll never lipsynch" then she does it....and it gets messed up. From looking at what happened, when the lyrics came in, the band stopped playing and started playing pieces of me....they got super confused....

I can't believe all you b*tches are making a big deal out of nothing. It is not uncommon for people to prerecord their "live" tv performances. This is especially true for pop singers. The AV nerd ****** up, not Ashlee. She went off stage because she was shocked and at a loss for what to do. Remember she's young and new to the business. It's not like she's a veteran so I don't blame her for losing her cool in the moment. As for her dancing, she said she was dancing a "hoe down". Obviously she was trying to make light out of the situation. So many of you Neowin guys need to get over yourself. And no, I'm not a fan of Ashlee Simpson so don't say that's my reason for defending her. It's just that a lot of you need to grow up.

ASHLEE ON LIP-SYNCHING IN LUCKY MAG

From Lucky Magazine interview:

LM: What are your takes on lip-synching?

AS: I'm totally against it and offended by it. I'm going out to let my real talent show, not to just stand there and dance around. Personally, I'd never lip-synch. It's just not me.

Satan is looking for her, she is evil!!

Well said. Exactly what I was thinking...

I heard somewhere I think it was on a SNL special that everyone lipsync's on SNL something about the sound quality for TV

That makes total sense if you think about it. I mean, listen to live concerts on CDs... The sound quality sucks compared to the stuff recorded in the studio. And while there are live concerts shown on TV, I bet SNL doesn't want to take any chances with mic levels or other BS like that. You can rehearse all you want, but there are always problems that arise. I know, I ran the sound board for my high school theatre productions for the past 3 years. It's not the easiest thing in the world.

another clueless talentless Biatch...

She's only famous cause her sister is, I personally think she can't sing very well

although this is not to say her music isnt too bad, her band is pretty good if it can

find a better singer.

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
