They didn't get nerfed, Blizzard fixed a BUG. Nerfing is a complete change in a skill or magic ability (or removal of said skill or ability totally)

Nerfing is not fixing a bug that allowed a class to take advantage of said bug, thus (for this patch at least) pallys haven't been nerfed.

Yet.

Yes, the worst DPS class in the game NEEDS to be nerfed.

Remember it's a revolving door, so Shaman, Rogues, and DEFINITELY Shadow Priests would be next on the list in sake of "balance". Blizzard seems to be giving into the whiners like most mmo devs do, which ****es me off since I thought they'd do it differently. Paladins were already next to useless at 60 (although I found my niche) and now things are worse.

Compound this with the suffering raid problems (bugs, loot tables, and general farming rather than playing), no PvP honor system, and there are a lot of people not enjoying themselves end game. I am, sad to say, one of them and think I won't be playing anymore until the next content patch (whenever that is) or Battlegrounds, which is probably even further off.

I think what we have here is a game that collapsed under it's own popularity, Blizzard was in no way prepared for any of this. I'm not bashing them but as a customer I am not happy and disappointed. :/

I have a lvl 32 Paladin that is pretty much useless after this patch. For anyone that is oblivious to what happened, Blizzard not only fixed the Seal of the Crusader bug(Which was documented), but also silently took the Paladin's base DPS a lot lower. Not only is it bad that the Paladin's DPS is ridiculous now, but it's terrible that Blizzard made this change without documenting it at all. According to a post by a blue on the WoW forum, Blizzard is "looking into it." I was in Gnomeregan yesterday. It took me, on average, about a minute to kill each lvl 26 elite. The only use for my Paladin now is to act as a punching bag while my group deals out the real damage.

A lot of people are saying Paladins deserve the nerf, but I guess they don't realize that it's going to happen to them next. I hope Blizzard pays attention to all of the complaints and fixes this nerf, or the game is going to end up snowballing downhill soon.

I considered a slight fix...

Tanks are suppose to be meat shields.. not damage dealers..

Warriors and Paladins = meat shields (High hps, medium damage)

Rogues and Mages = damage dealers (Extremely High Damage)

Priest, Druids, Shaman, Hunters, Warlocks = Support

I play a Hunter, a shaman, a warrior and priest...

Hunter is 35

Shaman is 26

Priest is 24

and Warrior is 17....

Try playing a priest, you will go back to your paladin......... Right now I love my priest but mainly when she is in groups.. I have a huge downtime... if I solo..

Sadly priests I think get the shaft in the game because the game can be solo'd until about 45.. then people cry for priest..

Paladins don't heal as well as a priest, and don't have a heal over time. Priests also have higher dps than most Paladins end game. If you play your priest to a higher level I think you will be pleased.

i am trying actually

I am officer of my guild, which has both Alliance and Horde side..

and my highest my hunter....

My hunter is horde (Tauren)

and my priest is alliance... most of the officers I speak to on Teamspeak encouraged me to level up a character to group with them, and I chose a priest..

edit:

I don't think Tanks (unless your a fury/arms spec'd warrior) should do high damage...In my opinion thats not their job, I think paladins are just warrior with ability to give group benefits to .. almost like a warlock's imp..

From what I am hearing, all the tanks at level 60 respec to protection and priest respec to holy or whatever. I am currently going up the shadow line..

a lvl 49 shadow priest and i killed a 60 shaman  ...and i've had a lot of times where even rogues can't hold aggo while i'm on my mage

It doesn't count when the Shaman is AFK. lol there's no WAY you killed a 60 Shaman, unless he was AFK and it took you 10 mins through all the misses and everything. Plus, your 55 friend was nearby eh?

You don't miss on PvP like you do on PvE, you just do lower damage. I kill a 55 Druid with my lvl 29 Paladin(before the patch), although I had to full heal twice.

Well I haven't PVPed yet at all, I'm more concerned with getting my preist to 60 so I can help my guild with raids and such. But that's pretty gay that you don't miss in PVP, seriously. I don't want to get pwned by a lvl 22 pally.

Well the honor system is going to change a lot of things. Also, you obviously have way more health at that point. A low level rogue might have a good chance at beating someone though, with the stunning and stuff.

They will just did minuscle damage instead of missing.

I've won at all the duels I've fought within 3 levels of me.

But everyone says I cheat because I'm a warlock and can fear them. I'm level 28 undead warlock now.

Just throw some DOTs on the opponent and fear them. Pretty much over after that.

The Warrior got killed by a priest?!?!?!

Some things in this game really don't make any sense. Warriors are suppose to be the stronger class until the higher levels (like top 10%). Magic users should be weaker to blunt damage pushers just because...well...thats how it is in RPGs. The end game has Magic users better then blunt damage, beginning game is blunt damage over magic.

i'll have to see when i get in larger group conflicts. I wish there were instance that were faction against faction based. You would go into the instance and wait until enough players of the opposite faction joined (to meet the same # of players or some set number required by the instance). Then some plot unfolds where you kill (or be killed) by the other team.

I'm looking forward to more the PVP aspects of PVE servers. I enjoy questing and not worrying about a high level from the opposite faction comming and yanking me. But at the same time I enjoy facing the opposite faction (in groups or 1on1) in combat when I see a fair match. But once you go PvP anyone can come and kill you. I'm not saying I don't enjoy the realism in that, but because such high level guys can really dominate a group of low level guys, it really discourages any pvp'ing at my level. So yeah, I think group vs group instance would be cool. (does something like this already exist?)

Its called Battlegrounds. It coming soon.

With that should be the PvP honor system which will discourage high levels killing low levels.

585524478[/snapback]

But it won't, it discourages killing lowbie NPCs and quest givers. Not players.

People are banking on this to save PvP and when it comes... They are in for a shock.

One of my lecturers at college has almost convinced my to buy this game, but I have a couple of questions before I do.

1. How similar is this game compared to say neverwinter nights or morrowind? It there any comparison?

2. The monthly fee, ?8.99 in the UK, is that correct? What happens if I decide that I want to take a break for a month or two, would I be able to just play till my month was up then in a month or two pay again and have my character back?

Is there anything else that I should know before I buy it? What happens if I decide after playing it I want to sell it, can I?

One more thing, how "n00b" friendly is it, am I likely to gather the wrath of more experienced players by bumbling around?

Any tips would also come in handy:))

hmmm

dunno about #1

but for #2, if u decide to stop for a couple months (although i don't know y u would), usually they'll keep your character for about 3 months then if u don't reactivate, they'll delete your char

not exactly sure about the time for WoW but for most MMRPG's it's usually about 2-3 months

anyone recomend a good place for a L39 Night Elf Rogue to hit 40 quick. I'm in SV and its pretty good, but maybe there is somewhere better. I really want my mount tonight!

Tanaris is pretty good, though you might not be able to handle it yet (it's mostly lvl 41+ stuff, up to lvl 50)

Aeris Peak in the Hinterlands is good also, but don't go near the coast omg killer turtles!

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
