Hey

I have a Level 31 MooMoo Shammy and i'm pretty much stopped dead in my tracks when it comes to Leveling up

:cry::

I done all my quests in 1k Needles, but there are some greyed at Freewind Post:blink::

I went to desolace and had a look .... That's like a lvl 33 min. place!

So, what do you guys recommend? Arathi highlands ... ?

I would say either Arathi Highlands, or try Stranglethorn Vale around the grom'gol base camp. Lots of good quests there- also try nesigwary's expedition, it's north of grom'gol (look it up on thottbot.com). There are a bunch of quests to hunt panthers, raptors, etc. around your level.

Good luck.

PvP or normal server?

And by the way, I went to Desolace with my level 31 Paladin and I did fine. The only problem you might have is with Alliance players if you're on a PvP server, but mostly people are friendly.

new 2h sword from the outdoor raid boss Azuregos in Azshara: Typhoon

heres an actual screenshot of it ingame (not mine): Typhoon INGAME

I have a 57 mage and 28 rogue, like both of them so far, can't wait for all the raids coming up on my mage :).

did part of Dire Maul on my mage (was 56 at the time) which is too low for the deeper parts (GL hitting the 59-61 randoms/61e bosses =(...but it was still major fun)

trying it right now since they deleted my PvP char on mal'ganis

I swear i'm going to kill this thing. Would someone please send me their copy of WoW.exe file some how that one got corrupt on me this morning when last night it was fine. I'm not reinstalling this game for the 20millionith time. >:[ I will be on msn username [email protected]

i swear if my char got deleted im soo gonna kick someons ass.

they didn't delete any of my blackhand chars, makes me happy since the only one deleted was my new level 5 on Mal'ganis:D:D

Just did a baron run at Stratholme, was fun, didn't get any set items tho, dev sandals dropped (priest), and then wildheart pants (druid):o:o

I never thought i'd say this, but WoW is boring:sleep::

I've tried most of the Characters, and the highest is a 37 Shammy ...

Quest - Quest - Grind - AH - Grind - Quest - Grind ....

I can't see the fun in this game anymore:((

They are all like that..

Indeed they are, it seems most of the kids from FPS and other more... "twitch" based games get bored of this very quickly. They came expecting the world and got just another (rather well refined and extremely fun - may I add) MMORPG.

get a group go do an insta there fun u get some nice drops and some nice cash as well

I'll tell you all right now, in the beginning I played EQ2, and enjoyed it greatly. Then because no one got EQ2 I got progressively bored with it (being I was soloing everything) and then when all my Ventrilo peeps got WoW I was happy again. Plus WoW is good. So for the past 3 months we've been all playing that now. However, everyone else got bored with WoW now, 3 of us are 60's and bored, the rest aren't quite to 60 yet and can't ever get help to get to 60 now (lol)

So, I pursuaded them all to get EQ2, which they did (after much debate, ie. cursing)

We just finished an 18 hour (give or take) EQ2 marathon from HELL. They have all now cancelled their WoW accounts and are playing EQ2 alone. Now I know some of you say well, I played EQ2 (the trial probably) and it's not deep and the gameplay isn't there. Well, all 6 of them would disagree, and especially once you get off the newbie island it's amazing and deep.

Why am I saying this in the WoW thread? I'm noticing more and more people getting bored with WoW, fed up with the bullcrap Blizzard keeps us going through day after day etc etc. The fact Blizzard JUST added a content patch, where as Sony has hadded content to EQ2 from the start. I'm simply posting this so the people who are tired of WoW can look to something else and try it and play it for awhile. Then when you aren't WoW'ed out you can go back to it and enjoy it again.

I'm not saying go out and buy EQ2 and play with me (though, hey I don't mind that either) I'm saying play something else for awhile!!! Hell play CS:Source if you have to for a few days. Don't log into WoW for a bit. Just get away from it for awhile. Go back "fresh" and you won't be so bored at least. (And maybe, just maybe Blizzard will fix the Ironforge lag!!!!!!!!!!!)

For me, I played WoW during the beta, got my char. to lvl 4 and was very bored and didn't like it... I got EQ2 when it came out, never played the beta, and I really enjoyed it but I got my char. to lvl 45 or something like that and got very bored with the game as well.. When I play a RPG I like the whole fantasy feel.. like being able too explore other towns and stuff like that... EQ2 had 2 citys in the whole game, the good side and bad side, and not to mention the bad lag I was getting because the graphics are too advance, (my computer isn't that slow)... It just didn't have that RPG feel to me and I'm sure thats why I got bored... I thought really hard about if I wanted to give WoW another go or not.. Well I did and I'm very happy with it.. been playing for about 3 months now and I have a lvl 53 paladin and a lvl 35 mage and I'm still having loads of fun.. A good friend of mine just joined WoW so I'm powerleveling him which is kinda boreing but its all good.. :)

Also I know people bitch about the problems they have with WoW but for me I don't see any of the problems.. I never once got disconnected, I get no lag (ofcourse only in Iron Forge), I get to turn up my graphics all to the highest settings... But I do agree with everyone that Blizzard really needs to brush up on their patching skills.. thats the only time I've ever had problems is when they patch... other then that, I can play all day and night with not one problem. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones :)

Yeah, i run at 1280x1024 with full graphics and no problems, other than loading the 50+ people standing by the AH -_-, and patches are annoying when the servers go down for a while (and break addons). My mage is 59 but I have to work on a essay for a class and study for like 3 tests  school first tho

    • It's amazing that anyone still uses this bloated trash.
    • @Sayan...I have defended you at various points as I hope you know. This headline however is utter trash...shame on you sir!
    • An actual cosmic "Eye of Sauron" had been looking straight at us all along by Sayan Sen Image by Kovin P. Vasquez via Pexels | Not representative An international team of researchers has solved a long-standing mystery surrounding a distant blazar known as PKS 1424+240, helping explain why it produces some of the brightest high-energy gamma rays and cosmic neutrinos ever observed despite appearing to have a relatively slow-moving jet. The findings were published on June 6 in Astronomy & Astrophysics Letters. The study addresses a broader challenge in astrophysics: understanding how extreme cosmic objects accelerate particles to very high energies and produce very high-energy (VHE) photons and neutrinos. PKS 1424+240 is located billions of light-years from Earth. It has attracted attention for years because it is both a powerful source of VHE gamma rays and the brightest known neutrino-emitting blazar in the sky, according to observations by the IceCube Neutrino Observatory. It is also associated with one of the strongest peaks in IceCube's nine-year neutrino sky map A blazar is a type of active galactic nucleus powered by a supermassive black hole that pulls in surrounding matter and launches jets of plasma moving close to the speed of light. What makes blazars unique is their orientation. One of their jets points almost directly toward Earth, making them appear exceptionally bright across the electromagnetic spectrum and allowing scientists to study some of the most extreme physical processes in the Universe. The scientists exclaimed it's like the 'Eye of Sauron' in deep space. Usually, the brightest gamma-ray-emitting blazars are expected to have jets that appear to move very quickly. However, radio observations of PKS 1424+240 suggested that its jet was moving much more slowly, creating a contradiction that became part of a long-running problem known as the "Doppler factor crisis." To investigate, researchers analyzed 15 years of observations from the Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA), a network of 10 radio antennas spread across the continental United States, Hawaii and St. Croix. Using a technique called Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), astronomers combine signals from widely separated radio telescopes to create a virtual Earth-sized telescope capable of revealing extremely fine details. The team combined 42 polarization-sensitive radio images collected between 2009 and 2025, creating a much deeper and more detailed view of the jet than had previously been possible. The observations were carried out as part of MOJAVE (Monitoring Of Jets in Active galactic nuclei with VLBA Experiments), a long-running program that studies the brightness, polarization and magnetic field structures of jets produced by active galaxies. The project aims to better understand how activity near supermassive black holes is linked to high-energy radiation and neutrino emission. “When we reconstructed the image, it looked absolutely stunning,” said Yuri Kovalev, lead author of the study and Principal Investigator of the European Research Council-funded MuSES project at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy. “We have never seen anything quite like it — a near-perfect toroidal magnetic field with a jet, pointing straight at us.” The image revealed an unusual geometry. The researchers found that Earth lies almost directly in line with the jet, with a viewing angle of less than 0.6 degrees. In simple terms, astronomers are looking almost straight down the jet. This turned out to be the key to the mystery. Because the jet is aimed almost directly at Earth, a relativistic effect called Doppler boosting dramatically increases its apparent brightness. The study found that this effect boosts the emission by a factor of about 30 while also making the jet appear slower than it actually is. “This alignment causes a boost in brightness by a factor of 30 or more,” said Jack Livingston, a co-author at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy. “At the same time, the jet appears to move slowly due to projection effects — a classic optical illusion.” The nearly head-on view also gave scientists a rare look at the jet's magnetic field. Using polarized radio signals, they detected a clear toroidal, or doughnut-shaped, magnetic field component. The observations suggest the jet carries an electric current and that its magnetic field helps launch, shape and stabilize the flow of plasma. Researchers believe this magnetic structure may also play a key role in accelerating particles to energies high enough to produce both gamma rays and neutrinos. “Solving this puzzle confirms that active galactic nuclei with supermassive black holes are not only powerful accelerators of electrons, but also of protons — the origin of the observed high-energy neutrinos,” Kovalev said. The research was conducted under the MuSES (Multi-messenger Studies of Energetic Sources) project, which investigates how active galactic nuclei accelerate particles and generate different cosmic signals, including light and neutrinos. Scientists say understanding how protons are accelerated and linked to neutrino production remains one of the major unanswered questions in astrophysics. The findings help explain why some blazars can appear to have slow jets while still producing extremely bright high-energy emissions. More broadly, the study strengthens the link between relativistic jets, magnetic fields, gamma rays and high-energy neutrinos. Researchers say the results provide new clues about how some of the Universe's most powerful natural particle accelerators work and offer important insights for multimessenger astronomy, which combines different types of cosmic signals to study extreme events in space.
