1. Any1 can recommend a reliable addons site? I know not all sites can be trusted.

2. any recommended complete UI (for Rogue if that makes difference). I have seen many UIs but never tried any cause I am not sure if they are practical or not.

fair enough. obviously many people out there disagree and to each their opinion.

and thnx for quitting cause that helps make the waiting times for BGs a bit less :p

Alright check out what happened to me at the Chess event in Kara today...

We finish the chess event, and I aggro a fleshbeast to goto prince. Immediately someone says over vent to start the chess event(and someone does), so we have a mob attacking us that we cant do anything about. After the wipe, King Lane from the chess board attacks the flesh beast and dies. :p

Then why post in this thread? You think we care about how bad you thought the game was? Troll somewhere else.

Agreed, dont use your opinion as an excuse to ruin the enjoyment of others. Oh and "the guy" has aname

Well if those that want to disagree with me want to spend their time running through cyber worlds, attacking cyber animals and fighting with other people you go do that, i'm not. That's my opinion, i'm entitled to it so that is WHY i posted 'Chaos'

Period.

Again any need for this? Surely playing any game is running thru a cyber world of some sort killing a cyber npc of some sort.

Maybe your idea of a fun time is trolling forums posting cyber messages to a cyber community and fighting with people, but im not gonna jump into threads and bring a negative attitude.

Well if those that want to disagree with me want to spend their time running through cyber worlds, attacking cyber animals and fighting with other people you go do that, i'm not. That's my opinion, i'm entitled to it so that is WHY i posted 'Chaos'

Period.

I'll quote you on this I think.

Unfortunately i don't care for your opinion but you're entitled to it.

I think I finally quit again..(going on 7th time!) heh

I had to stand back and look at a certain perspective at it..

Blizzard has made getting epic gear easier to get at level 70.. but I think they're focusing too much on PvP stuff now instead of PvE.. but whatever floats anyone's boat..

I use to be a heavy raider pre-BC and after BC I gave my account to a friend and then I eventually I tried starting over again. Just seemed different.. I remember back when my guild cleared BWL and started doing Naxx, people on our server kept commenting on us on our guild, we weren't number #1 raiding guild, we were actually an alliance of guilds..

Leveling was made a bit easier, but still a grind, which is cool.

I tried an roleplay server and for a bit, it was cool.

Personally I kind of laugh though, people complaining about who gets what epic and how, when the next expansion comes out .. most of it will be upgraded and forgotten about.

Oh well..

Im not gonna take it any further Janitor, but "I had a lvl10 mage i uninstalled the game". Isnt really an opinion, if you maybe went on to say how you found the game mechanics not to your taste and made a constructivly critical post on why you didnt like wow then I could understand.

But theres posting an opinion and trolling. But meh what do I care you dont like wow, all i asked was that you base your assumptions on more than 1-2hrs of gameplay.

Either way Im leaving it at that

I played the demo. I liked it. I bought the game. It should be in sometime this week. I understand people form groups but I'm the Rambo type and like to go it alone.

I'll play it for awhile and see how far I can continue on that path (so far, so good) and decide whether to get more months of play. I really don't play games that much anymore so don't expect me play for long hours (30 minutes at most) and end up finding me starved to death in my chair one day.

I suppose I would welcome joining a group or whatever in those quests where I usually get killed by these high level creatures. I try to avoid them but they find me anyway, I've been lucky during my 10 day trial, only died once and did about 15 quests. Trial is over now, unfortunately I only got about 5 days worth of play, I got sick with a virus and had to heal up from that.

When I get the game, I suppose if any of you reasonably nice folk can look me up and show me around a bit more, I'd appreciate it. I've been somewhere around Teldrassil trying not to venture too far and get killed. I'm only about a lvl 9 but it seems to be pretty easy to lvl up.

By the way, I'm a former Runescape player. I really liked that game to be honest with ya. It's just too hard to do things and the game seems to punish you too much.

Personally I kind of laugh though, people complaining about who gets what epic and how, when the next expansion comes out .. most of it will be upgraded and forgotten about.

Aye, I've just got back in to WoW again (38 to 61 in two weeks weeee! :( ) and I'd forgotten how big the step up is when it comes to items in TBC.

My Cat Form mangle damaged had almost doubled in a day! :/

whats grinding and why wont the servers work. just started im on a trial and i cant even play.

Grinding: Is Killing mobs with out questing. Kinda like creeping in wc3. It can also mean to grind something as in doing it over and over like "grinding pvp honor".

As for the servers, It's Tuesday, which is maintenance day in the morning. Blizzard has become pretty good at lowering the amount of days but we just had a huge patch so it might be a few weeks b4 we have rolling restarts on Tuesdays.

    • I'm still on Windows 10 22H2 because I didn't want to deal with all the issues in Windows 11, so I waited almost a week before installing the latest Patch Tuesday update (KB5094127), I went ahead and did it, and it was a huge mistake—ever since then, my File Explorer has seen a performance drop of about 30% when transferring large files... Once again, Microsoft has outdone itself! This update cannot be uninstalled, either through the Control Panel (via Settings) or by accessing Advanced Startup Options. The only possible alternative would be to use system restore points, but I’d have to reinstall all app and driver updates (and there’s no guarantee it would work). Or there’s the “nuclear option” of a in-place repair without losing files or apps, but even then, all my customizations would be lost! Microsoft just can’t help but mess everything up! Way to go, Microsoft! But I still don’t want your c****y Windows 11!
    • Microsoft: Windows 11 could finally solve a major issue across AMD, Nvidia, and Intel GPUs by Sayan Sen While Microsoft has been trying to improve it, Windows 11 is definitely not flawless, as even today some issues are taking a year to publicly acknowledge. However, one area of trouble that may finally see much better results soon is graphics driver crashes. Work on graphics driver timeouts, also called Timeout and Detection Recovery (TDR), is not new as the latest WDDM 3.2 also has specific improvements regarding it. Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) version 3.2 is supported on Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2. However, with the upcoming version 26H2, TDR crash diagnosis could go to the next level as Microsoft is introducing a new DirectX 12 API feature called "DirectX Dump Files". Similar to how system memory dump files work when a system crashes or freezes or encounters any such major issue, DirectX Dump Files (DDF) will essentially record a snapshot of the GPU execution right at the moment a graphics-related crash or hang or freeze occurs, so that developers can better understand and diagnoze these TDR and timeout detection errors. The dump will be available as a .dxdmp file for analysis and it will be a comprehensive dump file generated with detailed insights about the hardware, drivers, Windows, as well as the affected application. This should be another welcome change in this department. Earlier at GDC 2026, when the technology was first debuted, Microsoft had shared more details regarding it. The company had explained how DDF is designed to gather data from every layer of the graphics stack into a single file, eliminating the need for developers to manually correlate logs from multiple tools. As mentioned above, the dump can contain a lot of useful details like GPU hardware state information such as register values, shader program counters, page fault virtual addresses, shader memory data, and command buffers. Alongside that, it also captures DirectX runtime and kernel information, including D3D objects, pipeline state objects, device error data, adapter details, and CPU call stacks. Microsoft says the feature has been built around two primary use cases: retail device removals and local device removals. The former allows developers to collect crash information from end users' systems in the field, while the latter helps QA teams and developers investigate issues on test machines. Developers will also be able to include up to 2 MB of custom application data through new D3D12 APIs, providing additional context for troubleshooting. In addition, Microsoft is introducing three dump collection modes ranging from zero-overhead capture, which has no runtime performance impact on supported hardware, to higher-detail modes that collect more vendor-specific debugging data. On compatible Tier 2 hardware, zero-overhead dumps will be enabled by default, meaning developers may begin receiving useful crash diagnostics without making any code changes. The table below explains the three tiers: Tier Description NO_OVERHEAD Enables crash capture with no runtime cost and is suitable for broad deployment MEDIUM_OVERHEAD Provides a balance, capturing additional diagnostic data with moderate impact HIGH_OVERHEAD Collects the most detailed GPU and driver state available, enabling deeper investigation at the cost of higher runtime overhead In terms of availability, the company expects broader release to be around the fall of 2026, which should be right around the time when Windows 11 version 26H2 lands. Right now, DirectX Dump Files are available as a preview and currently, only AMD has the compatible AgilitySDK Developer Preview driver version 26.10.07.02. You can find the official announcement post here on Microsoft's website.
