I was playing PvP arenas in a 5v5 over the weekend. I am just wanting to get a new healing chestpiece for my Paladin because I still have the Breasplate of Many Graces and haven't come across a better one yet. So...I honestly hate doing PvP in teams because of the bull**** elitism that people have about them - I ****ing hate it. You can't make a mistake, and everyone plays their character better than you do. Why didn't you do this, why not that, etc.

-----A quick background story-----

I played with a priest that had no epics (I did a 2v2 because a guildie asked me to join the team for points - fine), as opposed to me who is pretty epic'ed out. He needed me to heal - fine. He said "can you heal good? Just keep me alive and do 7,000 damage, blah blah blah".

We won like 5 matches, lost 2. I failed to heal him consistently because I got so owned by an epic'ed out team (and bubbled) with them ganging up on me. The next, we were outmana'ed (well, he was) and he was like "bubble me" ... ok - BoP goes on him to stop the warrior from beating on him. It sucked - obviously the other priest could still damage him, and was.

He dies, I start getting owned, stunned, dazed, etc. He proceeds to spam party chat with "why didn't you bubble me, don't just stand there, etc."

I left the team and gave him the old FU. I can't stand the mentality of PvP players in this friggin' game - I really can't.

-----End background story-----

We did have one good 5v5 this weekend and it finally came down to everyone being dead, minus a healing druid on our team and a BM hunter. The fight lasted 20 minutes with our druid killing his pet (not what he was focused on - and the hunter immediately rezzed him) and then killing him. We were on TS just laughing our asses off. I can only imagine what the TS of the other team sounded like. It was absolutely incredible. Innervates, Lifeblooms, etc., bearform, blah blah blah. It was seriously one of the coolest things ever for an Arena battle.

Finally good having something funny and enjoyable happening (for me) instead of people just bragging about how great they are and ****ing me off to no end.

PvP is a lot of fun but can definitely have some idiots making it unenjoyable...

I don't know about you guys, but I feel that I should be able to play some WSG as a casual thing whenever I feel like. Well apparently that's not cool with some people, and if I'm not a twink then I'm a selfish noob who doesn't know how to play. I was playing WSG a week ago on a new rogue I made that was level 18 and there was one twink on there that just wouldn't shut up about us non-twinks being noobs and horrible players. I honestly got quite a kick out of it because this guy was totally serious and I found it funny that somebody could get so worked up over a game. He was on all night too, so I just kept playing to annoy him. Funniest part of it all was that I had more killing blows and less deaths than he did, but hey, I'm the selfish noob because I don't twink ;)

so was playing on the PTR last night, we did the new 5 man (Heroic and Non-Heroic) was fun. But I have to say the new change to water SUCKS!!!

Hi Matthan,

This is an intentional change to how drinking works. The amount of mana regenerated now ramps up, so you will see little or no mana regen the first few seconds and then it will increase as the duration continues.

It appears this change did not make it into these patch notes, I'll see about getting it added to future notes.

Well it seems to be an unnecessary change but I don't know how big of a deal it will be.

Ramp-up time for drinking is dumb. TY arena.

Do we have any paladins here who can share their experiences leveling up and finding groups while leveling up? Also, do any of you have retadin friends and can share your experiences questing/pvping with them?

I am getting bored of my hunter, it is such a 1 button class. Just arcane shot and sent pet. I am looking for something a bit more complicated and cannot decide between warrior or paladin.

Thanks for the help.

Both Paladin and Warrior aren't necessarily hard to solo with. You shouldn't hardly ever die, like you would as a Rogue or a Mage. But, dang, they take forever to level because they are so slow. I haven't played Warrior much, but I've leveled a Paladin to 70. Paladins are a good support class, but are rarely the best for whatever lead role (dps, tank, healer). I think that there versatility makes them desirable, as they can fill whatever group needs are lacking from the early level. Towards the end game, however, you can only help out in the area you are spec'd which can limit your utility in a group. I.e., you have to say you are a "Holy Paladin" or a "Retribution Paladin" not simply a "Paladin" if you are lfg.

Level 70 Paladins are almost exclusively healers.

Are you and I playing the same game?

That's true of every class.

What is a level 70 mage's main duty?

They're standard issue back-line DPS and crowd control with they a couple (literally 2) chances to tank.

For trash you'll be responsible for babysitting a monster—typically polymorphed—until it's ready to be killed, you'll be asked to interrupt certain abilities like heals, and all the while you're expected to put top-tier damage on whatever it is you're trying to kill.

Once you make it to tier 6 goal #1 becomes "don't die" and then once you've got that taken care of you work on doing all of the other stuff you'd normally do.

with the Teir 6 badges, if im not mistaken, it seems you can only get them from the 25 Raid, thats a T6 Raid, basically just letting people fill out the spots in gear for a guild that is already in BT/Hyjal.

so why are all the people complaning about the badges, people cant get it unless they are already on part with T6 Instances ( BT/Hyjal )

<snip>

It's funny - that's the common joke anyway. They are great for backline DPS and CC, as already mentioned.

Paladins are versatile but different servers have different needs. We have a lot of Paladin healers (I'm one of them) on our server that I've noticed. We only have a few that I've personally heard about doing a good job tanking. Ret pallies are trash talked on ours and normally only used for leveling. There are exceptions to every rule and different servers dictate different needs, as well as guild operators. Any class can be awesome.

I just want to say a few things. First off, I'm a lvl 28 Night Elf Warrior now I thought it was a mistake at first but I'm beginning to like it. I don't really know anybody on there either, but I think that's ok for what I do.

Another thing is that almost being a lvl 30 and realizing that I still don't fully understand the game or really know what the heck I'm doing. But whatever it is, I think it's pretty fun.

One more note, I find that every time I start the game up, all the servers are down, lol. Always right when I'm ready to play. By the way, I'm a VERY casual gamer.

I have some major problems with some of the quests, like in Raven Hill or whatever, I have to kill this thing that comes out of a grave, man, I've died like 5 times and figure I'll just wait till I lvl up about 3 more times.

And I want to ask, is it ok to use/sell the equipment that the monsters drop?. Like I have a little ring I equipped that protects against like +5 Arcane or something. I also bought the best two-handed axe I could find at the store for my lvl. I think it was special or something because sometimes it wouldn't appear in the buy list and it has a (1) or (2) beside the name. Yeah, I know I'm a Newbie, give me a little break, I'm trying. ;)

So what do you Warcraft Specialist think, any comments or tips for a little guy like me?.

This hardly ever happens so I'm guessing you must always try to play on a Tuesday. Tuesday is considered maintenance day and they bring all the servers down for half a day or so

Thanks.

I did my first real instance today. Got about 90% XP and about 1 gold. It was awesome. We killed VanCleef. Got 3 new blues, and an awesome staff.

Question: What weapon should a mage mainly use? I kept greeding/needing the wrong things people said. I'm using a staff right now.

Also, when I go to the mage trainer, should I buy everything he has to offer? Some stuff sounds dumb so I leave it.

    • First time clicking on a Sayan Sen article after he started making clickbait, vague headlines recently. Didn't read, just came here to say the headline doesn't look like very cheap, vague clickbait this time. Are you okay?
    • Good review, and yeah the benchmark breakdown is pretty clear but also a little messy in a good way. It’s kinda interesting to see where the RX 9070 GRE slides in between the 7800 XT and the 9070 XT , especially when it comes to AI tasks and Blender style workloads. The side by side with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and 4070 makes it feel obvious just how competitive the mid range GPU scene has gotten lately, and that’s great for creators and gamers too since you can pick based on your priorities rather than only chasing one single thing.
    • That's it. I finally uninstalled Firefox because they often keep pushing buggy updates, only to test them later and make users suffer. No longer is it my alternative browser to Edge. What a waste of energy. Firefox is bad for the environment, just like Chrome (wasting RAM/energy).

A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. Moving to more positive news, Microsoft and Adobe are working on improving Windows performance in popular creative apps like Photoshop. Thanks to SPGO optimizations, users can expect up to 20% better performance. Finally, we have a few useful articles that can help you recover your PC or make it perform better. For one, we published a guide detailing what to do if your computer cannot boot after a clean Windows 11 install. There are two important steps you can try to get your system back to working in no time. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks. Luckily, only a few days later, another fix arrived, which re-enabled Eliminator and patched the exploit. Microsoft announced new games for Game Pass subscribers.
