Can anyone help me make my WoW look like this screenshot. It's so clean and simple, and my WoW is getting quite cluttered and confusing as I'm leveling higher and learning new skills.

Only question about that shot is, if I got mine like that, would I still be able to hit 1,2,3 etc. for attacks? I don't see any numbers on those skills.

I'd recommend starting on the WoWace.com forums and browsing the flash your UI thread. Lots of them linked in there premade for you. Most, like my own, trying to remove clutter.

To your other question, yes, you can still have hotbinds on your keys if you like. That can be disabled and enabled via the config.

Mine after a few weeks of deciding I needed a change:

And what UI are you using? Thats damn nice aswell.

Yeah I had to get a new UI after my harddrives crashed and I lost all my data... (and before you say anything I did have backups... but the backup drive crashed also >_<)

Anyway, here's my new UI...

(Note: I'm actually resto. I just spec Elemental to have some fun on the weekends. I promise my resto gear is alot better ;) )

What is the name of the addon that display's money latency , time.... ?

its in both pictures :D , also , spookie , what unitframe addons are you using ? :p

Google "SLCore", it has branches you can get like clock, FPS, armour, gold, memory useage and so on. Unitframes are pitbull. Took me about 2hrs to configure them how i liked them.

And what UI are you using? Thats damn nice aswell.

Spookie's UI I guess. :p

Started off as photek but most of his addons got thrown out over two months ago!

I love the style of this UI, but have a bunch of problems. That can only be fixed if you're able to customize this UI, which I don't know if you can.

How can I get all my skills on 1 single bar at the bottom like yours? (Spookie)

How can I move the box that says my name/level/HP/mana? I'd like it more off the screen rather than almost right in the middle.

On the right side of my screen there's a box with blue line for the combat log I guess, can I remove this? And the "ClosetGnome" box?

I really like the look and simplicity of your interface Spookie, care to share how to customize mine?

One more thing, look at my chat log. I'm getting all these "SkinMe" errors, I put the AddonSkins stuff in the SkinMe folder and it ddin't fix anything. Any help out there?

First things first:

What is the add-on that has an arrow pointing you in the direction of a quest, with yards and ETA?

TomTom, or Cartographer. Comes with both addons.

Nothing is "locked" per-se. You can move everything just need to know what addon is controlling said bar then finding the unlock command. :)

eepanels, create a small panel and extend it so it covers the lower half of your screen. Can also use skinner but I don't like the way it looks.

If I'm correct. Thats AG_U(nit)F(rames). I have used them in the past and they are much more approachable than pitbull (in short it's a wall of text and variables). Try installing Deuse commander (spelling?). It'll give a drop downlist of all the addons installed that it can help you configure. That will let you adjust the layout without having to use the chat config.

On the right side of my screen there's a box with blue line for the combat log I guess, can I remove this? And the "ClosetGnome" box?

Unlock EEPanels, hover over the bar to find the number, then go to it's config screen and remove it. :)

Pfft... Trial and error?

But seriously most of mine was put together by breaking down popular UIs. By moving things about, working out what made something look like the way it did, installing it and having a go at configuring it to how I liked it.

With the addons you have installed now, you can get close to replicating mine. Just try messing about with EEpanels placing them where you'd like them and so on.

I'll work on zipping mine up and getting it working.

One more thing, look at my chat log. I'm getting all these "SkinMe" errors, I put the AddonSkins stuff in the SkinMe folder and it ddin't fix anything. Any help out there?

Ignore them for the time being :)

Planning on getting into WoW on my birthday LOL. How long does it usually take before you get addicted to this?

If you are starting out then try get a partnership with someone else going quickly, as the first 40ish levels are pretty dull imo. Try find a nice social guild for the chit chat so that you aren't questing in silence too. Shouldn't take long to get addicted to it though. Unfortunately now, the real fun starts 60+ as most guilds are now in the outlands doing the content there. So that means you will also need to get the Burning Crusade expeansion pack.

Levelling recently got buffed to make things faster, ie less xp needed and more xp given :)

I have a concern.

When I buy the game today or tomorrow, will I easily find people to be in a party with? For quests/instance runs etc. ? I usually have to run up to random people I see grinding to see if they want to party up and do something. I get pretty good results like that, too. Also, how do I find a guild? Just ask around town?

Just wondering.

it may be tough but I say go on a new server with a low population where there be newbies that will need groups or I say wait till the next expansion when you get alot of people for groups but thing is most of them will be 70.

Just a question, having just recently upgraded my laptop, I would of expected better frame rates in fights.

Previous machine I was running was a Centrino 1.7 1 gig of DDR2 and an X700 64 meg. Would run things on middle settings and get about 10-15fps in Shatt 25-30 fps during fights.

Now have 1.66 Core2 Duo 2 gig of DDR2 and a 512meg 8600GS in the laptop. I have put things up to max and within Shatt im hitting about 40fps which is nice. But in raid fights im just managing to get about 25-30 :s

I'm guessing maybe checking for driver updates might give a bit more performance or does this sound about right?

Also was previously running XP now running Vista Home Premium.

I got the 10-day free trial, made a guy, starting killing. Then I saw guys with yellow !'s above their head, clicked em. Oh, they give you quests, I've played a game like this before, I'll try it...

BOOM! addicted. Level 34 Gnome Mage. A few blues, did my first BG the other day. Had no idea what was going on, still don't. 14 honor points!

It's weird though, maybe someone else feels as I do. Sometimes I wanna play so bad, then I hop on and grind out 3 levels for hours and hours. Other times I have no desire to go on. It's almost like, you know you have some long ass runs ahead of you, and some frustrating grinding, so I'm stressing myself into not playing. O_o

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
