I ****ed up on Reliquary of Souls Last night. I was tanking him and in P3 I couldnt empty my rage bar fast enough and got hit for 9K all the time and died. :(

I also started a Paladin a few days ago. It's pretty fun to be a healer. He's level 21 already.

Hi everyone. I have 3 improved imp talent points invested on my 70 lock. The tooltip for blood pact says 70 stamina, but it should be 91 since the talent point gives 30% bonus. The ability is, in fact, giving the 30% increase according to math :p (thank god)... I've done some searching, and but no one else seems to have this bug. Is this a bug in my install of the game, or is it a more wide spread issue? Surely if it is widespread then Blizzard knows about it.

Wait.. .I found this:

5. Buff/debuff tooltips do not show the bonuses from talents.

Example: Improved Thunder Clap tooltip says it slows by 10% instead of 20%.

The tooltips for buffs and debuffs do not update to reflect talented versions of abilities. This is because of a limitation in the buffing system and cannot be changed at this time.

That's kinda lame :|

Yep, that's a UI bug that has been in the game since day 1. Buff tooltips are unnaffected by talents. The tooltip of your action bar button will change, but the buff/debuff tooltip will not change. You still get the correct value applied, it just doesn't change the text of the tooltip.

Probably the best example of this bug is Power Word: Fortitude and the talent that ups the stamina value by 30%. The buff tooltip always displays the base value.

Like the statement you found says; Blizzard has acknowledged the bug and has no plans of fixing it.

Well you see, we did multiple fights, as in, he logged off his warrior, and onto his hunter, it dropped, he took it.

I raid every night and it was known I wanted it, and he took it. That's a ninja considering he has raided a total of 4 times on his hunter, compared to my... oh... I don't know, 100+?

We use EPGP and it's based off the ratio.

We have rules in place, but they are sort of...misunderstood.

With our recent progression of 7 bosses in the past month or so we're refining everything so right now is kind of a ****ty limbo until then.

Is EP split between toons? As in if his warrior has 4000 so does his hunter? Or is it if his warrior has 4000 his hunter would only have 200 (assuming that's how much he raided it). Secondly, your guild fails if Mains > Alts. A consistent dpser is better than the MT hunter alt. Bad guild, with bad rules. Or your guild is so desperate for a tank that they'll let him get away with that ****.

Got a few questions for the hunters out there.

I've been playing my 70 Shaman for a few days, got a few pieces of Merciless gear and have been having some great fun as enhancement. But I always miss my hunter in pretty much every situation.

So currently my Hunter is sitting at 70, with tons of greens, blues and two pieces of gladiator. So I need to get him going again, but since I haven't played him in ages I forgot a few things and need a few tips.

1) I remember a simple addon showing me the shot rotation to increase the DPS. I know you can do this with some practice but the addon was a great help and really increases the DPS tenfold. So anyone remember this addon

or know one that does something similar?

2) My Hunter's reputation with the various factions are pretty low, leveled him, did some PvP and left him. So the only place I bought arrows was Halaa in Nagrand. Highest DPS arrows I could find for someone without any real reputation. But this is quite a long way to travel when you need to stock up constantly, are there any arrows with similar DPS near any major city or have they added something new?

3) I need to start working on my gear, but what's most important for a hunter first of all ... decent gear or the weapons you use?

4) What's the 'best' build for some general battleground PvPing? ( This may be a personal opinion for each Hunter ) - I really do enjoy Beastmaster since my pet is a great help! But on the other hand, Aimed shot and the likes are really great to have plus the added ranged DPS.

Any help appreciated (Y)

Blizzard just posted talent calculators for the WotLK beta on worldofwarcraft.com! I know these have been on the fansites, but they are now on the official site, and as such, feel just a tiny bit more official. They come with a small disclaimer that they are beta talents and that they will change.

I'm excited for a lot of the new 51 point talents. Warlocks might actually be getting green fire, although it is the top destruction talent. PLUS METAMORPHOSIS!! I will be speccing demonology just to try it out (currently affliction). Hunter's survival tree got a pretty big revamp and it looks to be even more useful of a utility/support spec. Fury warriors will get to dual wield 2h weapons with a -20% atk spd as a minor penalty, along with a leap attack skill. Restoration shamans are getting a talent that will probably be required for several raid encounters as it splits incoming damage across multiple tanks. I glanced at the other classes stuff, but I don't play them so I wouldn't know whats great and whats mediocre.

Apparently they are "fixing" Spirit as well. Even warlocks will be required to have a decent amount of spirit as some of their abilities and talents will be based off of the stat.

1. Quartz. I'm not aware of any other.

2. Run Kara, and use those arrows/bullets, don't take long. If not those the CE rep ones, will do until Kara rep is up.

3. Full S2 gear will yield great DPS for a hunter PvP/PvE wise, though PvE is normally better since it's more specific to PvE needs.

I'm less-than-thrilled with the changes that are being made to warlocks. Metamorphosis is less than thrilling, to say the least. Looks like I'll be grinding my 'lock to 80 come expansion, then parking him somewhere to do dailies...same as he does now. =/

Go play Age of Conan for about a month, and come back to WoW. You'll never feel like WoW's an "endless grind" again.

Yeah, you should read the AoC forums before you dive into that. You'll change your mind quick smart.

As for wrath, the new Deathknight starting zone is by far the BEST experience in game to date. The highlight for me would definately be the changing world. Through some "semi-instance trickery", as you complete vairous quests the world changes. NPCs move forward/back, buildings are burnt down, all as you complete more and more quests leading upto a truely epic finale of a quest. (can't really explain without spoiling it too much)

Here's a couple of DK screenshots, apologies for the poor quality - I'm travelling and macs are only so good.

One thing I love about WoW [aside from the customization that Addons give] is some of the scenery, and some views you get to see while running/flying/whatever through the world. Something I came across last night while unlocking flight points:

I have to say, wandering at night is a lot more satisfying than during the day. So far, anyway.

Dinged 22 this morning, as well as 116 Tailoring and 56 Enchanting. :D

Sounds like the warlock might not be the right class for you. Kinda how I feel about the shaman at 70. No one wants a dps shaman for 5 mans when they have no CC and poor threat management. I'm interested to see if Hex (essentially a sheep for shaman) makes it into the release of Wrath.

Anyways. I really don't know what Metamorphosis will do in WoW aside from giving the warlock a mail equivelant armor rating. If its anything like the Warcraft III version it would involve turning into a giant winged demon and gaining extra health and a powerful ranged AoE attack. I'm probably being optimistic by thinking that though.
