beta is so laggy during the starting quests for DK's it takes around 5 hours to finish them all instead of teh 40 minutes or so it would really take lol.

Come live realms that,ll be "fixed up" i.e 10 times worse. Still my DK`s gonna be my alt. Maybe use him to run 10mans in a small mates of mates guilds.

Nov 13th here I come got a week off work to lvl 80.

Just need to find a UK stocker of the C.E. Version of WOTLK now.

So did Kara Tuesday for badges. King's Defender drop. I took it to replace sun eater. And I called it out to my guildmates, Brutalizer will drop Friday night. So I threw Mongoose on Kings and low and behold, just downed Supremus and what drops. None other than Brutalizer. Had the mongoose enchant already ready for it, slap it on. Glad to have the expertise from it, so it's time to get the bracers from Naj to replace Ancient Phalanx and get some more avoidance.

Epic shot. A little upgrade to his gear would be nice. :)

Sorry but he is only a lvl 10 so not much i can do there for now...

My highest is only a lvl 66 mage and she doesn't have epic gear yet

might have to take some ss in BRD over the next few days... brewfest is running

need to get me a ram

Easy fight.

Just burn him, ignore everything else, or have one dps burn the non-elite (7kish health), ignore the sisters (28k health) appear at 75 and 35%. 0-16 so far. :( Just wana Kodo, I got every trinket (spare the two stm ones) and the slower Emerald Ripper.

Anyways, think I got my spec nearly down pact. Gotta work some more kings out and see what happens though. Going to wait till after this raiding weekend and re-copy my guy over there in case I get any more upgrades and see how I do.

I have a couple questions to those who know drood tanking:

I'm going to be tanking instances with my friends to try and level from 70 to 80. Here is the build i plan on using at 70 (once new talents roll out).

Is there anything that I should change?

I plan on rolling Resto after I ding to 80 using this build, is that good as well?

Thanks in advanced

Noone knows?

Can't edit anymore.

This is it. Was thinking about taking the two out of improved charge (those are just there to get to impale) and finish out Improved thunderclap, and get 2/2 bloodrage and then put 1 into warbringer if it proves worthwile. Otherwise I like this above spec, only thing is I really wish I could get 3/3 improved thunderclap.

So 7 real days into my recruit a friend levelling and I'm at level 50 with my mage+priest. Not bad since I haven't had friends running me through instances. :D I did ZF last night, and excluding XP from the run, the quests literally brought in 150k exp per character, and then the run was about another level on top of that. I keep saying this but it's freaking ridiculous how fast you level.

This is with that new leveling thing they brought out right, were you get a free mount and all that other stuff, correct?

Other then that sounds like your leveling at an insane pase, I was keen to do that with my mate but they brought out the thing after he had got a account like two weeks after it came out :( ..

I just started a rogue the other night, I want to see how this will turn out. What made me really wont to roll a Rogue was that there DPS with the correct get is very consistant quite like a warlock, they can just keep going and going without the worry of running out of mana... like my mage :pinch:

I would have made a lock over a rogue but I just cant be bothered with rolling another caster again.

The upside to a rogue is that in this new patch coming out.. 3.0 there going to be so overpowered (well I think they will be)

Im sure you have seen these already but I mean come on there just that good...

Rogue

* Rogues will now deal an additional 50% damage to stunned targets.

* Rogues will no longer have Sprint, Vanish or Crippling Poison abilities.

* Players will now be able to target Rogues and select a Pick Lockbox option to have the Rogue automatically open all lockboxes in their inventory.

* The reagent cost on Blind has been changed. Blind will now require Blinding Powder, Fel Lotus, 20 gold and a Splinter of Atiesh to use.

* The tooltip for Hemorrhage has been updated to inform the player that it is terrible for raiding.

Notes from http://blue.cardplace.com/newcache/us/75473049.htm

Im still thinking if I wont to keep the rogue warlock does sound tempting but another caster :s

Oh what to play, anyone got any pointers or tips they would like to add feel free to :)

As another 'RAF' data point: preparing for WoTLK a few people in my guild are re-rolling. A handful of people have managed to hit 60 in less than 1 day /played.

Now I wish I hadn't vendored my splinters :(

Roll a Tank or healer roque. Given that world+dog is going to roll a deathknight, a healer is probably a good choice. ;)

Only advice I have: grab a set of vendor level 1 gear and enchant it with runspeed, agility, nethercleft leg armor, and grab a couple of daggers with fiery weapon. Level 1 vendor loot doesn't become soulbound when equipped so you can use it to start leveling any melee class. With enchanted vendor gear you more-or-less 2-shot mobs all the way to about level 10. From there you can run your new character through dungeons on your main whenever you feel like their gear needs some updating.

The battleground weapons are always a good choice for a rogue. Whenever you get near the top of a bracket, go play a few games and pick up the new one. Fiery weapon is dirt cheap and almost as good as lifestealing/crusader as far as DPS is concerned.

Lol!! Its so true every man and his dog are going to be rolling DK's its just going to be a joke.

I probily would consider a healer but I have had a 2.1k heals Shammy in the past. Loved healing but im not to sure if I wont to go with another healer, a pally would be nice but there just a hastle to level, priest is not to bad but I mean its going to take sometimes..

Haha im taking the easy way out and just leveling something that is quick and easy :pinch:

WotLK release will be the perfect time to level a healer or dps. Tons of people will be going through Outlands wanting to do quests and instances. Just gotta get them to 60 or so before release.

Well when the 3.0.x patch hits live (before wotlk) they've reduced the XP required from 60->70 too.

You only get the free [terrible looking] mount if you pay for 2 months; I'm just using the 30 days that comes with the original game then moving the 2nd char to my primary account. I also forgot to mention that I'll have earnt 30 or so gift levels when I hit 59 so I can get a 3rd char (I have about 6 or so in their 30s since years ago) to 60 as well using those.

And yeah, if you have a friend power level you through instances it's easily possible to get to 60 in a single played day. Soloing takes a bit longer though (I'm not trying to be the quickest either).

Just a tip: If you're applying to a guild, especially one well beyond your current level of progression please

take time to fill out their application. Behold this gem from our recruitment forums (names removed to

protect the innocent). You'd also do well not to make yourself look like an complete goon.

notes in brackets are my comments.

    • Microsoft Weekly: new Surface, Windows 11 26H2, and more by Taras Buria This week's news recap is here, with Microsoft announcing Windows 11 version 26H2, launching new Surface devices powered by Snapdragon X2 processors, GTA VI preorder date and cover art, fresh Windows 11 preview builds, a quirky phone-sized e-reader with a physical dial, and more. Quick links: Windows 10 and 11 Windows Insider Program Updates are available Reviews are in Gaming news Great deals to check Windows 11 and Windows 10 Here, we talk about everything happening around Microsoft's latest operating system in the Stable channel and preview builds: new features, removed features, controversies, bugs, interesting findings, and more. And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. Windows 11 version 26H2 is now official. Alongside Windows 11's new preview builds released this week, Microsoft confirmed version 26H2, which is coming later this year as an enablement package based on the same platform as versions 24H2 and 25H2. A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. Moving to more positive news, Microsoft and Adobe are working on improving Windows performance in popular creative apps like Photoshop. Thanks to SPGO optimizations, users can expect up to 20% better performance. Finally, we have a few useful articles that can help you recover your PC or make it perform better. For one, we published a guide detailing what to do if your computer cannot boot after a clean Windows 11 install. There are two important steps you can try to get your system back to working in no time. Additionally, there is a more detailed guide on various CPU performance modes that could notably improve performance. Windows Insider Program Here is what Microsoft released for Windows Insiders this week: Builds Canary Channel Builds 28120.2315 and 29613.1000 These two builds include a new built-in audio driver, improvements to audio Settings, and more. Dev Channel Builds 26300.8697 and 26220.8690 Not much is available here. Some File Explorer improvements, Start menu enhancements, bug fixes, and more. However, build 26300.8697 is now officially marked as version 26H2. Updates are available This section covers software, firmware, and other notable updates (released and coming soon) delivering new features, security fixes, improvements, patches, and more from Microsoft and third parties. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. Both devices feature little to no visual differences compared to their predecessors from 2024, and most changes hide inside, including a better processor, faster graphics, enhanced NPUs, and more. The Surface Laptop also received a new haptic trackpad. Mozilla is currently working on a major Firefox redesign, and earlier this week, it published a roadmap of upcoming features and highlights of the upcoming "Project Nova" rework. Files, one of the best file managers for Windows 10 and 11, has been updated in the Preview channel with a long-requested feature. Tree View is finally available in version 4.1.4, allowing you to quickly browse deeply nested folders without leaving the main view. In addition, the update improved the Windows Fonts folder, allowing you to preview each font without opening the default viewer. Rufus, another useful Windows 11 utility, also received a notable update. Version 4.15 arrived as beta with important fixes for silent Windows 11 installation. It also includes patches for ARM-based Windows PCs, OneDrive removal improvements, and more. Here are other updates and releases you may find interesting: Microsoft faces shareholder lawsuit over masking AI costs and slowing Azure growth Microsoft now allows you to tweak Visual Studio to new extremes Microsoft brings Planner Agent to all Microsoft 365 Copilot users Microsoft fixes one of Excel Copilot's most frustrating limitations Microsoft will finally let you sign in to Edge with a Google account Here are the latest drivers and firmware updates released this week: NVIDIA 610.62 with support for Empulse and various fixes. Reviews are in Here is the hardware and software we reviewed this week Earlier this week, we reviewed the DuRoBo Krono, a portable, phone-sized e-reader with some interesting physical controls. This device has an Apple Watch-like dial for page turning, frontlight adjustment, and more. Software is simple and no-nonsense, but it also lacks some useful features and customization. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks. However, they also had to acknowledge the Eliminator CR-farming exploit and shut down the online mode temporarily. Luckily, only a few days later, another fix arrived, which re-enabled Eliminator and patched the exploit. Microsoft announced new games for Game Pass subscribers. Those include EA Sports FC 26, Junkster, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Abyssus, RV There Yet?, and more. Some existing games are leaving the catalog, so be sure to check out the full list here. New games are also available for GeForce NOW subscribers, and they include Embers of the Uncrowned Demo, Aphelion, Megastore Simulator, OPERATOR, Citizen Sleeper, and more. Rockstart Games had plenty of GTA-related news this week. For one, the company gave GTA V players another free update. Those still playing the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are no longer required to pay $40 to upgrade to the latest-gen version. More importantly, Rockstar Games revealed the GTA VI cover art and announced the preorder date. The Epic Games Store is giving away two games: Citizen Sleeper and Roboeat. These two titles are up for grabs until next Thursday, but if they are not up to your taste, you can always check out the latest Weekend PC Game Deal issue, which is usually full of discounts and specials that let you save a lot of money on new games.
