It'd make everything easier, and make raids quicker. Guilds who are progressing, will be able to progress quicker through trash to get to bosses in less(er) amount of time. Bosses strategies will remain the same, but it'll be quicker (could be good or bad) to down the boss. Moving quicker through farm content gives more time on progression content and reducing HP increases the chance of a kill(s).

I see the reason they did it, I don't like it, but I see why.

Highly recommend it. Get a program called keyclone. Costs $20..... ;) I am currently dualboxing at lock and a priest, level 23 in 12 hours. If you only plan on multiboxing with 2 accounts, questing is faster than boosting. Boosting is much more efficient when you have level 70 boosting 2 chars, linked via RAF. They are also nerfing boosting exp come 3.0, but if you can squeeze it in time, do it and it is much faster than questing; people are hitting 70 in 2 days /played.

I just started these horde characters on the server, so I couldn't feed them money from another horde character on the server. I gave a bit from my nightelf (250g) but I am not sure if that's enough and I don't feel like doing dailies on him at all....I may have to start running the isle quests and getting 100g or so to pass along horde side. I am still using greys from character creation, because I don't bother doing quests that require me to collect things. Also, at first, I couldn't even buy their spells and only had to resort to spells that are important. Finally, I am not even bothering with professions, since they take so much time to level up and I am trying to rush 60 as soon as possible.

The quests you want to do are kill quests. So something like kill 10 of X, Y, Z. Also, any quests such as, kill person X, and bring his head back.

Also in terms of macros, you need the following on your second account: /follow focus. /target focus. /assist focus. How I have mine set up: W S A D Q E Escape Tab NumLock Enter R is not sent to the other WoW window. I keybinded F for follow, G for assist, H for target.

Another awesome thing is the granting levels. I have a 34 warrior just waiting to hit 60 and skip azeroth content. Once I hit 60 on these chars, I should have another 60 to play.

I was talking with a buddy of mine trying to come up with a good combo to play. I plan on playing them as individual characters (alts) once I get the duo to 70. I was thinking paladin and mage would be ideal, but I'm not sure I would like the mage that much. Maybe I'll try paladin and priest together. Yeah, I know priest AoE is missing, but I would actually want to play one at 70. Oh, and I already have a warlock and shaman at 70.

We had hoped that the introduction of some new Honor rewards in the upcoming patch would give players a great opportunity to spend any of their remaining Honor. However, many players would still be surprised by an Honor and token reset as it isn?t something we?ve done in the past. As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Players who save their Honor will be able to spend it on level 80 rewards, although those rewards will be significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts.

Disappointing. I already spent a good portion of my marks in anticipation for the reset. I still think they should reset the Honor points. Marks are too much of a pain in the ass to get to justify a reset, though.

You wouldn't change your strategy for Brutallus or M'uru if you could bring 6-7 more players of your choice?

You could have 2 extra healers, a dedicated stomop tank, a "spare" tank for the other 3, and still have more effective raid DPS than the currently.

Felmyst with only 1 air phase is laughable (or altertively: you can sacrifice one full raid group per ground phase and still have enough DPS to kill her).

Kalecgos with 2 million HP? You could burn him down so fast your crappiest players could be healed through completely ignoring the portals.

Remeber this is to reflect the fact a lot of stuff dont stack now.

From my playing on beta, the 3.0 abilities, talents, and class changes are a significant buff to individual and group damage.

if 3.0 goes up as it sits on PTR now, our raid will be drastically more powerful than before: it'd be as if we had at least 1 full

group of extra people.

The loss of bloodlust rotations, drumming, and chain-potting is noteworthy, but it's more than offset by the increased potency

People normally main the paladin since it is a melee class, and melee classes are much harder to manage than casters when dual boxing. Also, when I play my warlock/priest, I essentially put my priest on follow all the time, and cast the occasional shield/renew...if I really need it. I don't do anything other than heal on the priest and it has been working pretty well so far.

Right, but if you don't do it before the addon, your never going to experience at it's correct level range with 24 other people. Blizzard is doing this so that people can at least see the content before the addon as they know that once it's released and people hit 80, the zones will become dead (aka molten core)

I play a Prot Paladin and Fire Mage combo and they're at 63. It's a ton of a fun and really easy to dual-box once you get your macros set up. You get high dps, good tank, heals, teleports, along with cc. Plus, you can AOE like mad. Can also take pretty much any elites a couple levels above your own. I even play them in instances fine.

Stacking Shadow Priests for mana regen

Nobody stacked shadow priests for regen: running out of mana hasn't been a concern since Tier 5.

  • You want 1 for misery on every fight
  • You want ~4 priests (any) for Felmyst, but you want them for mass dispel, mana is a joke on that fight.
  • You want 2 shadow priests for redundant mass dispels on muru and to make sure misery is up on sentinel spawns.

The mana regen is nice, but the reason you take a priest isn't to prevent your casters from going out of mana, it's so that they can use their potion cooldowns for higher DPS, to lifetap less and never evocate.

stacking Shaman to chain-cast Heroism/Bloodlust

The fights that reward shaman stacking most are:

  • M'uru, because bloodlusting everybody is pretty much required to get through phase 2, chain heal is the ideal way to handle negative energy, and you need to well synergized physical DPS groups which would require totems.
  • Twins, because chain heal is much better than any other way to heal the raid damage. Bloodlust can be ignored (threat capped in phase 1, and phase 2 is 'free loot')
  • Brutalus, because groups without totems are gimped, chain heal is the best way to deal with slash damage, and bloodlust is more useful than any of the things a priest or paladin can provide.

The problem with shaman isn't bloodlust alone, it's a combination of things things -- bloodlust is just the most visible.

Drums are a 4% increase to group DPS when you're able to keep them up full time. You'll still be able to have 1 leather worker per group using drums so the net loss is 3% reduction in damage.

He forgot to mention chain-chugging destro/haste: that's another ~3% DPS.

Even without any of the buffs to classes the only encounter that would be anywhere near 'unbeatable' is m'uru.

Yeah I dont know what you're trying to achieve with that build. It looks like your leveling ret/prot so why put points in Holy at all?(except for Divine Strength).

That's true, sort of. As a hybrid though you're speccing into a single tree to bring yourself closer to the level of a pure class, at the expense of the other trees. If you branch into everything you'll just be a mediocre healing, mediocre tank, and mediocre dps (this is at max level). Generally the best thing to do is to pick a tree and go through it all the way until you hit the final tier talent, and then decide if you want to branch into a second, or fill up some extra ones first and then branch out (while levelling that is).

And just to add my two cents;

It is (or was when I was leveling my hunter, so about a year ago..) best to level Ret with a few points in prot, but leveling holy is pointless if you're leveling alone.

Do what is fun though, that's what it should be about, not being the best, especially when leveling.

Example: My girlfriend and I leveled together (hunter(me)/Priest(her)) and around 68 there was a blue set from Durnholde that "LOOKED NICE".. she ran that place over 10 times to get the shoulders.. 2 days later we were 70 and the piece was obsolete. It may have been a lot of fun for her at the time.. but looking back she realized what a waste it was.

Respeccing will seriously help you do better. No one wants someone subpar in healing, or tanking, or dps.

Respec into full prot and go AOE stuff like mad and tank instances, or into ret for whatever ret does... It will make leveling A LOT easier being focused on one tree.

If you like questing solo most of the time, go ret. I found it to be the quickest to level over prot. Prot can be very useful, but only if you plan on instance or AOE leveling. It's extremely slow when solo questing.

Molecular hydrogen later became a key ingredient in the formation of the first stars. At the time, the universe had entered a phase often called the cosmological "dark age." Matter had become transparent to light following recombination, but there were still no stars or galaxies producing visible light. Several hundred million years would pass before the first stars appeared. For those first stars to form, large clouds of gas had to collapse under their own gravity. To do that, the gas needed to cool by releasing energy. While hydrogen atoms can help with this process at high temperatures, they become less effective below about 10,000 degrees Celsius. Molecules can continue the cooling process by releasing energy through rotational and vibrational motions. Scientists have long considered HeH⁺ a potentially important coolant because of its comparatively large dipole moment, a property that describes how electric charge is distributed within a molecule and allows it to release energy efficiently. The amount of helium hydride present in the early universe may therefore have influenced how easily the first stars could form. At the same time, HeH⁺ was constantly being destroyed. Under primordial conditions, its main destruction mechanisms were recombination with free electrons and chemical reactions with hydrogen atoms. These reactions ultimately helped produce molecular hydrogen, linking the formation and destruction of HeH⁺ to the chemistry that shaped the early universe. For many years, theoretical studies suggested that reactions between HeH⁺ and hydrogen atoms would become much slower at low temperatures. Scientists believed there was an energy barrier along the reaction pathway that reduced the chances of the reaction taking place in the cold conditions of the early universe. The new study suggests otherwise. To investigate the process, researchers recreated a closely related reaction using deuterium, a naturally occurring isotope of hydrogen that contains one proton and one neutron in its nucleus. When HeH⁺ collides with deuterium, it forms an HD⁺ ion and a neutral helium atom. This allows scientists to study the reaction in a controlled way while closely mimicking the behaviour of the original reaction involving hydrogen. The experiments were carried out at the Cryogenic Storage Ring (CSR) at MPIK, a specialised facility designed to recreate conditions similar to those found in space. Researchers stored HeH⁺ ions in the 35-metre storage ring for up to 60 seconds at temperatures just a few kelvins above absolute zero and merged them with a beam of neutral deuterium atoms. By adjusting the speeds of the two particle beams, the team measured how the reaction rate changed with collision energy, which is directly related to temperature. The researchers found that the reaction rate remains almost constant as temperatures decrease. In other words, the reaction does not slow down at low temperatures as earlier models predicted. “Previous theories predicted a significant decrease in the reaction probability at low temperatures, but we were unable to verify this in either the experiment or new theoretical calculations by our colleagues,” explained Dr Holger Kreckel of MPIK. “The reactions of HeH⁺ with neutral hydrogen and deuterium therefore appear to have been far more important for chemistry in the early universe than previously assumed,” he continued. According to the researchers, the reaction appears to be barrierless, meaning there is no energy obstacle preventing it from taking place efficiently even at very low temperatures. The findings support recent theoretical work led by physicist Yohann Scribano, whose group identified an error in a widely used potential energy surface, a mathematical model used to describe how the energy of a system changes during a chemical reaction. The error appears to have caused previous studies to significantly underestimate reaction rates under primordial conditions. The new calculations closely match the experimental results. Together, they suggest that helium chemistry in the early universe may need to be re-evaluated. Because molecules such as HeH⁺ and molecular hydrogen played an important role in cooling primordial gas clouds, the findings could help scientists build more accurate models of how the first stars formed.
