Since you look like a DPSer, you don't have a key role, thus you can get away with much ****ier gear.

Put out 1200+ DPS and you're golden.

Edit: DPS sort of depends on circumstance, but there are training dummies in Org/UC/TB that you can play with. I honestly don't know what to expect in terms of freshly dinged DK DPS though... but I wouldn't say 1200 is impossible. I pushed more than that at 70, though in good gear at that time. :p

I guess it comes down to how you feel about it. If you're more of a burden than an asset, gear up. Otherwise, go nuts!

I was already doing 1200 DPS at 76 with a previous build that wasn't even as good. So it looks like I'm good to go

Thanks for the info.

I've never had an issue with using it with our tanks. Infact, I'm always one who has the least threat. Are you not spec'd into 3/3 Subversion? With the Glyph, DnD hits like a truck.

Hmmm... Well I haven't actually tried in a while since I did have problems on a previous run. But I had a much different spec without subversion, so I'll go ahead and see how it works out now. Thanks (Y)

Single: Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Heart Strike, Heart Strike, Scourge Srike (then go back and forth between HS and SS until diseases run out and start over). Death Coil as much as possible during rune cooldowns (Rune Strike should take priority though).

Rune strike causes a lot of threat, I'd use DnD over it for added dps. Also, I think you mean to have blood strike and not heart strike in that rotation, since you cant have SS and HS together.

1200 dps is super easy even in the lower 70's if you're going all out as unholy. I'm getting about 1150 right now at 76 with a terrible hybrid tank blood build.

Oh yeah, I used to have Heart Strike on an old Blood build. Thanks for pointing that out.

So even though DnD says it causes a lot of threat, it's actually less than Rune Strike? I'm no pro when it comes to this stuff, so I don't know all the mechanics of threat and stuff.

EDIT: I'm dumb. I forgot Rune Strike also "causes a high amount of threat." I'll look at using DnD more often then. I just like the amount of damage Rune Strike does

I've found that once the tank has decent aggro, you can drop DnD with little to no worries about pulling aggro. It does have a high threat modifier, but if you're in blood with subversion you shouldn't pull aggro.

IMO death coils are a much better use of runic power than rune strike, cause of the innate high threat and the fact its next swing, not instant. If you're having trouble dumping all your runic power though, throwing one in here and there wont hurt.

Well thanks very much for the info. I'll start messing around with a new rotation and post back here with the results. Can't wait to start running heroics... Hopefully I'll get in on one tonight.

I should probably install Recap too, so I can see how I'm doing.

Your rotation looks pretty good, just see how much runic power you have an adjust accordingly. If your tank is a little squirrely on aggro then obviously refrain from runic strikes or DnD. You can just play with it and see what happens.

Also, I looked at your profile and noticed you have an armor pen belt. Armor pen is all but useless for DK's so I'd try to replace that quick, other than that gear isnt too bad.

Have fun in the heroics.

Yeah, I haven't even finished questing in Sholozar, so I don't have the best quest gear I could have. I might look at some rep rewards and try to find something better, or just look at all the quests I have left on Wowhead and find one with a better belt.

Rep epics are decent starters, but by the time you have rep for "all of them", you're very likely decked in heroic epics anyway.

Crafted blues are very nice considering how cheaply you can attain them, so you could always check the AH too. Just don't buy too expensive stuff... once you buy, an upgrade will drop immediately anyway. ;)

There are a few rep epics that are very hard to replace. The Death-Inured Sabatons from Knights of the Ebon Blade are one of those. Only real upgrade is a rare drop from heroic Naxx and also one in heroic EoE.

As a warrior I wouldn't even take the Naxx ones. I'd go straight from Death-Inured to the heroic EoE ones.

NOES!

"Plagued and Black Proto-drake rewards to be removed"

3.1 will remove these rewards from the "Glory of..." Achivements. Damn it. Better crack on if I want that plagued mount! :(

The items won't be removed from the game, only their requirement for the achievements.

I would take the ones off the first boss in Arachnid quarter, but only as DW DK. Other than that, the other ones suck.

@Neon+Tiger: Dragonblight is the best place to be at your level. You also get to witness a very cool cutscene and quest at the end of it, so it's worth finishing... Grizzly Hills would be the next best place after Dragonblight.

So I decided to load up wow on my mac.. HOLY COW!!!! I have been downloading patches for a day now. lmao.

On my windows machine I have it backed up, so whenever I reformat or whatever, I just copy it back over from my backup drive.. But of course I needed the mac version, so I had to download and then get all the patches..

I want to see how it runs on my mac. I heard it has a few features for mac like in game mp3 player, video recorder.. Is this true? Anything else different on mac version?

The files are the same for both clients except for the application. You can copy your mpq files and patches from your Windows install and run the downloader on the Mac to finish up. Takes about 2 minutes. :)

If you're leveling AND an achievement nut you will want to do both starting zones in the beginning. Boring Tundra AND Howling Fjord. Quest achievement + exploration achievement + easy exp = win.

This way you also save the higher level quests for when you're 80 and possibly still going for the quest achievements. If you're not, it's STILL a good idea since the higher level quests will be more profitable to complete. And you can get quite a lot of quests done in a short amount of time for rep and money.

That's also pretty true. With only selling crap I picked up while leveling and doing quests, by the time I finished Storm Peaks on my DK, I had bought epic flying, cold weather flying, DK flyer, and bear mount.

You make a crazy amount of gold in Northrend just questing and stuff.

If I believe correctly, that area is used in a quest, which you have the option of jumping down from.

Yeah I just heard that today, I didn't notice the buff for the slowfall, but it was still really cool, :p

"Shadowfang Keep is ran by a white guy. The white guy has a bunch of slaves called Worgen. Worgens are black. Worgen backwards is Negrow. Worgens drop Snapvine Watermellon and Chicken Legs. Coincidence?"

Hahhahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
