I am so.. so.. so.. so.. happy.

<snip>

This is the first time I've ever gotten Exalted with any faction in WoW.

Now you've just got to get the rest if you want a mobile bank/mailbox and cool mount. :p

It gets easier I promise. :D

GJ, I havn't done those champions on any of my chars..I don't do dailies

You're kidding right?!

The same dailes that give:

Reins of the Ice Mammoth, Reins of the Grand Ice Mammoth, the only level 80 shoulder enchant in the game, a helm enchant, 4 faction mounts, an Argent Crusade flying mount, a tonne of vanity pets and last but not least...

Tier 9!

Oh I know I know.

I bought my Mechanopeep and my Turbostrider

mechanopeep.pngpvpmechastriderskin_redblack.jpg

To celebrate.

The Mechanopeep is going to follow me freaking -EVERYWHERE-. I love the dang thing.

So as I'm new to WoW still, what are these dailies? When can you start doing them? I just reached 41 on my BELF Lock ... I'm exalted with Tranquillien ... almost with Undercity ... but it seems those don't matter much?

Dailies are daily quests which you can repeat every day at 80. You mostly do them for rep based rewards. The latest set of dailies is from the Argent Crusade. The idea is it's a easy way to level your faction rep to exalted (eg Orc, BEs, Trolls etc) once you do you get a unique set of rewards to choose. Like new epic mounts, mini pets and the like which you buy with badges which are rewards from doing the dailies.

If, like me, you did them from 3.1 and ended up exalted rather quickly with EVERYONE including the Argent Crusade and the new BE faction which is competing with another for attention from AC you end up with ANOTHER set of rewards you can choose from. More pets, more mounts (including epic flying) and your pet (which is given to you as a reward for completing the introductory quests) can gain a pony which means he turns in to a mobile bank/vendor/mailbox with a 4hr cooldown.

On top of the Argent rewards- which is the main focus at the moment, christ blizzard turned it in to a content patch, there is:

- Sons of Hodir, who give your shoulder enchants at honored and a better one at exalted and two mammoth mounts

- Kirin Tor, they give daily dungeon quests. A heroic one which gives two badges of triumph for t9 and a normal which gives 500 rep with a faction of your choice and a champ badge.

- Oracles/Puppy-men (forgot their name ;D), at revered each give a week long cooldown item which you wait to mature/hatch to recieve an item. Most people go Oracles for the Green Proto Drake which can drop.

- The Viking women (I've forgotten their name also :D), this is opened by doing a quest chain starting in K3 in Storm Peaks called "They took our men!". This daily gives a chance to drop a White Polar Bear epic mount. The same quest chain also opens the Sons of Hodir dailies. It also explains, partly, how Ulduar is in such disrepair. There is another quest chain in the same area which explains more lore behind it.

I'm sure there are many more I've forgotten too! It'll be overwhelming to read all this and attempt to understand it before you hit cap but once you're 80 it'll begin to make sense. :)

WG shoulder enchants are 1 or 2 points of spell power short of that for ALOT less work here same for the head enchant. I don't care about mounts and I can do the raids to get the T9 no?

The enchants you get from dailies are not 1 or 2 points worth, they're MUCH better.

And you cannot do raids for the T9 set.

It's also carrying resilience which is a useless stat in PvE. If you came to my raids with that on your gear I'd replace you with someone who could be arsed to get exalted. Hell there is no excuse these days not to be. I bought my way to exalted. Only cost me 2.5k.

Extra badges means you get t9 items faster (ring is almost BiS for casters!), which means less work in the long run. :)

So I was thinking today..

Who would I like to voice the Worgen.

The first voice that came to my mind.

Rutger Hauer.

Can you imagine if Blizzard put in the "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe..." (from Blade Runner..) in WoW? *Drool*

Lol well im only a part time raider, I prefere leveling alts to raiding. I certainly don't have the effort in me to do dailies, I never have and I doubt I ever will.

Too many other commitments in my life to warrant letting a daily quest for something that can be easilly replaced with a so be it PVP one take over the time I actually do have to play. IMHO having 15 Res instead of 15 crit rating isn't a reason to be kicked out of a raid. I don't know how strict you are in your guild but If i was kicked out of the raid because of that I wouldn't want to be in the guild and I would just pug.

Feel free to cast your opinion on my main char

I swear. This game is far too easy. Far too many morons are getting to 80 these days. Examples:

wowgroupfails.jpgwowgroupfails2.jpg

Ihazcoke & Sepirioth both being tanks in two diffrent groups and those are screenshots from the meters on bosses. How on earth do you get out DPS'ed by a tank?

/vent

I don't think leveling was meant to be difficult. At least since BC leveling

became rather trivial. At 80 you can choose your own level of difficulty. I find hard modes in ulduar and heroic toc raids to be very challenging.

The dailies are a piece of **** and you won't know till you try them. As Minifig. It's win win! While my guild is terristrict on enchants, gems etc. The work we put in now pays off later via 310% drakes and Mad Skill ToC achievements.

See now why did you do that now I'm going to mention:

- Only one epic gems

- Over the hitcap (289)

:p

At 80 you can choose your own level of difficulty. I find hard modes in ulduar and heroic toc raids to be very challenging.

I find ToC challenging but that isn't the point. Due to the almost linear learning curve people aren't learning their class by 80 and morons need to be carried through instances or they'll fall flat on their face.

/rant!

Shaun, if you have the time to do regular quests, you have the time to do dailies.

They just pay more, and you can do them every single day.

It's a win win.

Minus the fact that they become extremely BORING. Seriously, I think that's one of the reasons I took a break from WoW in the first place. The Argent Tournament daily stuff has got to be some of the worst crap to come out in WoW, if you ask me. Hell, I don't even think the Sunwell dailies bored me this much. :/

So basically, I need to hurry up and get to lvl 80 :l

Well I was one of the people that thought the leveling was really fun. Even when I got my first max-level character (finally happened during BC, so level 70), I was like "well what do I do now?" Only after WotLK did I finally experience end-game content and see what I'd been missing out on.

So you may or may not want to. Some people like the leveling, questing, lore, etc. that you get before end-game stuff, while others (including myself) enjoy end-game content a lot and see leveling simply as a (long, drawn-out) obstacle before that.

So..

I love my guild. I've been with them for a long, long time.

Tonight's fun activity was Black Temple. Yes, THE Black Temple.

We rocked house. We got up to the second to the last boss "set" before everyone started getting really tired and we were wiping. We're going to continue on tomorrow. :)

I took plenty of screenshots.

If you've never seen BT before, feel free to peruse.

Oh and I may mention, the one boss who I took so many pictures of that's blue and looks like she (?) has 3 different faces?

That's Reliquary of Souls. My all time new favorite boss in WoW.. ever.

Such an awesome boss.

I found that when I levelled my first character, levelling from lest say 1-20 was good, as alliance the Defias storyline was amazing i felt.

Seemed to loose interest after that mainly because TBC was already released and the story had moved on, in addition to that hardly anyone was doing older dungeons. The next 40 levels were a bland and boring grind.

Once i got to Outland though this sort of re-ignited my interest in the game however there was still not enough lore/storylines to follow eventually it did get the same and was a constant grind of rep and gear.

WOTLK on the other hand had lots of lore and storyline crammed into it, however after 2 level 80 characters i do not feel i can go through the process of levelling my 3rd to 80 (sitting at 74). Im running through the same quests killing the same stuff, farming the same rep. What blizzard really need to do is to change the game looks for each class and how stories are told. Have quests that a differnt for paladins, hunters, mages etc and possible tell the same story lore but from a different perspective or in a different way.

GJ! cleared on Facemelt pre nerf! /flex

lol every reason to flex. It was hard then at 70 and I'm proud of the fact me and my old guild managed to clear it pre nerf. I'm sorry that you feel offended about my flexing. I said GJ so its not like I was trying to make fun out of you or anything.

Is it just me or is every week now when they do maintenance, once they have finished the maintenance they ruin the login servers?

Due to technical issues the login servers are currently not operating at full capacity. The issues are being addressed and will be resolved as soon as possible

    • AMD 26.6.2 driver brings FSR 4.1 support to RDNA 3 RX 7000 series graphics cards by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe A new driver is rolling out to Radeon graphics hardware owners, and alongside support for new games, AMD has just made its FSR 4.1 upscaling tech available to an entire generation of its products. Last month, AMD announced it is answering community requests to bring FSR 4.1 to past generations of its Radeon graphics cards. This would be starting with RDNA 3 RX 7000 products. Right on schedule, this is what's rolling out now with the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 driver containing official support for over 300 games. Following this, AMD is planning to bring out RDNA 2 (RX 6000 series) support for FSR 4.1 sometime in early 2027. As for the games, this Adrenalin 26.6.2 driver is a recommended install for anyone jumping into Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced remake or id Software's DOOM: The Dark Ages' Revelations expansion. The two fixed issues in this release are these: Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing RoadCraft on Radeon™ RX 7000 series products. Purple screen may be displayed when using an HP Reverb G2 headset with SteamVR on Radeon™ RX 6000 series graphics products. The known issues AMD is still working on are the following: Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing Battlefield 6 on AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. AMD is actively working on a resolution with the developer to be released as soon as possible. Texture flickering or corruption may appear while playing Battlefield 6 with AMD Record and Stream on some AMD graphics products. AMD FSR Upscaling and AMD FSR Frame Generation may show as inactive in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition while playing Battlefield 6 when enabled on Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products. Failure to install may be observed while installing AI Bundle components in some regions with limited access to HuggingFace and GitHub. Model flickering or rendering failure may be observed in Maxon Cinema 4D and Blender on Radeon RX 7000 series and above graphics products. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to install AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1. Intermittent application crash may be observed on some models while running Blender on Radeon RX 7000 and above graphics products. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to install AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1. The newly released AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 driver is now available for download from the AMD Software app. Find the official changelog here.

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
