Anyone else trying to get the Time Lost Proto Drake? Good god this thing is rare as hell. I have spent the past few weeks going along all the spawn points. It ridiculous.

This has a 1 in a 13 week spawn timer.

1 in 12 it was spawn Vyragosa, the other time it will spawn the drake. You could literally sit above the Engine of the Makers for 12 weeks non-stop and not have it spawn at all.

A good addon to get if you haven't got it allready is NPCSCAN + NPCSCAN_Overlay. One detects the rares, the other overlays their positions/routes on the blizzard map.

As you can see, 7 more to get :)

Not quite correct. Time-lost follows the standard rare-spawn timer system however it shares a spawn timer with 2 other rares. Once the server decides that they're to be spawned (which off the top of my head is at least 24 hours after a server reset but no where near 13 weeks as you said), it will randomly select one of the three. The other matter is that it has roughly 3 or 4 different areas it can spawn at and fly around so even if it is chosen to spawn, it's more likely to be at a spot you aren't.

I'm told the "easiest" place to spot him (given all the above conditions) is around the valley south of Ulduar since his flight-path there is closest to being straight. Practically though, just using an addon while doing you dailies and whatnot is the best idea.

I got mine about 6 months ago right near the Engine of the Makers.

Love it, pretty rare mount to see. I also rolled a 100 on the Onyxian Drake, but gave it away cause I was on an alt :pinch:

Hit 69, and when I ran LFG it put me into my first WOTLK dungeon :D

Got two nice pala drops

Ingvar's Monolithic Cleaver - http://thottbot.com/i35576

Chestplate of the Northern Lights - http://thottbot.com/i35574

Cleaver should be good for me to replace Voined Axe at 70, and chestplate is for healing but it's nice to have. This axe looks better, but more work to obtain - http://thottbot.com/i38237

I've noticed instead of handing me loot bags for LFG it's handing me these purple marks or something, for level 80 I know they're for trading in for items.

2 a day I think it is.

I'll hit 70 easily today by doing some runs, 3/4 of the way there. The two quests for uptgarde keep or whatever it's called give good exp... but man that instance is boring as hell.

I made the noob mistake of standing around the last boss when he was rezzed first time, died :p Gotta learn along the way!

Unless they changed the spawn time of it that was what it said on the thottbot page when some dude worked it out, sorry I just quoted from that, since I have never seen Dirkee, Vygrosa or Time Lost at all since getting Lich. Figured it was true about the 1 in 13 thing.

Is there a time limit on closing your account before it gets deleted or anything?

I hadn't played it for about 6 months due to being busy with other stuff so i stopped the payments. I've left it installed and do want to go back to it when my work load drops.

Can i just re-subscribe and be able to use my existing characters and continue where i left off?

I don't remember the exact words off the top of my head, but Blizzard will never delete your account/characters, they reserve the right to do so after a set period of time, but they never did such thing.

Of course. Blizzard does not delete any accounts.

no just 1000G

Some riding skill costs 3000G, I assume that's for the higher up mounts.

You need to be lvl 77 and pay 1000g for Cold Weather Flying Training.

Ouch you need to wait to 77 just to be able to fly :(

    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
