the only condolence is that he went down doing what he loved.....

very well goddamn said!! at least he didnt died in a toilet (sorry elvis fans :ninja:). he died without a chance of defending himself, but at least we are all sure he died doing what he really loved, regardless of the band he was in!!

I really fail to believe the lack of respect shown by some people, if you don't like the music or have any interest in paying your respects stay out of the thread! Also the other guy who's saying he was killed for his lifestyle. If that was the case, he'd have been killed during his glory days in pantera. Damageplan have done no where near as well (I like them heaps, but they just arn't the same league to be fair).

Chances are it was some crazed fan who thought Phil (the singer from Pantera) came to them in his dreams and instructed him to kill Dimebag. That's the only reason I can think of. Zakk Wylde is going to go ape****, they were very good friends and zakk is not a person to mess with.

Bah I'm waffling. I feel so sad, we've lost a 50% of a VERY talented pair. Between him and his brother they've created music that'd make the shyest person stomp around the dance floor sober. :(

Dimebag Darrell Killed

Dimebag Darrell, of Pantera legacy, was shot tonight with another member of Damageplan while performing in a Columbus, Ohio nightclub. Today is a very very sad day for heavy metal.

Thats our lovely city of Columbus for you, total dumbasses.

RIP guys

first off- there's multiple types of metal- i'm bass in a hair metal/ blues metal group-

metal isn't the reason he was targeted- lennon wasn't targeted for playing pop hippy music.

it's sad to lose a guitarist of dimebag's level-

it's also sad anyone else suffered injuried in the tragic event.

although- i'll be honest, i don't like pantera (their music) i can still appreciate that they were doing what they loved- and they were actually being musicians about it unlike most of what you hear today.

i read in the damageplan forum one guy that says he was in the front row, and that the guy who killed darrell said something like "you broke pantera! you ruined my life! phil needs heroin money!".

kinda hard to belive if you ask me, could the volume be that low so that anyone in the audience could listen what he said? maybe he misheard it...

you forgot this one....

1992 saw PANTERA release VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER. This album produced the first ever heavy metal single to debut at #1

I hope the person didnt shoot him in the head like 5 times that would be sick, i just hope his parents some how die in a car crash or sommit and ide slowly for raising such a beast.

585073533[/snapback]

so it's the fault of the parents? -and they somehow deserve death?

wow :ninja:

u can become a beast in other ways- in my mind the blame ends /w the killer himself unless something else is found out

I never knew the bloke, never heard his music but I've gotta say, to die by the hand of someone else is not on! Its so ****ing **** I'm struggling to contain my anger! The bloke was doing something WORTHWHILE! Something he loved doing! Jeez this is a ****** up world where the people who actually contribute to music end up getting murdered.

Those audience members didn't deserve to die either.

Such a ****ing waste :(

RIP Dimebag

    • This piece of ###### is probably one of the most hated apps that ever existed.
    • Microsoft is bringing a much-needed Recap app to Teams, here is a first look by Usama Jawad Microsoft Teams is heavily used in work and school environments, and perhaps one of its core but extremely useful features is the ability to record meetings. In past years, Microsoft has further improved upon this functionality by integrating AI, but you do need a Microsoft 365 Copilot license to leverage most, if not all, all of those capabilities. Now, the Redmond tech firm is making another significant enhancement in the area of Teams meeting recordings. Up until now, if you wanted to access Teams recordings, you had to arduously locate the meeting invite and navigate to the dedicated tab, or go to the cloud storage location such as a SharePoint site. This was a rather overwhelming activity, especially if you don't remember the name of the meeting or the meeting occurred quite a while ago. Microsoft is now attempting to solve this problem through a dedicated Recap app that consolidates all your recordings. This centralized experience will allow users to find all recordings from the past 30 days and also offer access to other related services such as transcripts and AI-powered summaries. Customers will have the option to search for recordings, filter them, and review multiple meetings by generating AI-powered podcast-style recaps. The Recap app will list all available recordings in both thumbnail and list views. The former is shown below: And here is how Teams users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license can select multiple recordings to generate a podcast-style audio recap: Microsoft has emphasized that the Recap app is pre-installed in Teams but it will not be pinned by default. Users will able to navigate to the Teams app store from the left rail, and pin it from the apps section. It will be enabled by default for all users once it becomes available. It's worth noting that while Teams recordings and transcripts can be accessed by all users governed by existing permissions, AI-powered features like intelligent summaries, audio recaps, and video recaps will require a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. The Recap app will be generally available to Teams users on Windows, Mac, and the web by the end of next month, with mobile support coming soon.
