I don't think I want to know why your keyboard needs drying.

My mirror is out of bandwidth.. guess 65GB ain't enough. lol.

65GB is usually good for about 3 - 5 days. Every little bit helps.

I guess there is no answer for my issue...see prev posts on pages 6&7...

Check the following:

1. You got administrator rights

2. You are running English Windows.

3. Under AutoPatcher folder, there's a bin folder. In the bin folder, select all files

4. Now, copy them over to your system32 folder (usually C:\Windows\system32) replacing any older files.

5. If the same error comes up, go Start -> Run and type (exactly as you see it):

regsvr32 "%systemroot%\system32\ssubtmr6.dll"

Again, Start - Run:

regsvr32 "%systemroot%\system32\comctl32.ocx"

And lastly Start -Run:

regsvr32 "%systemroot%\system32\mscomctl.ocx"

It *should* work.

You can also try the new .exe posted about a day ago... Does the same error appear when running from hard disk?

hey i have the same problem as my polish friend :>

Our mirrors (iSix) have only generated 20GB in total over the last 4 days :(

Might take them down in the next day or so since they're generating such a miniscule amount of traffic.

The few days I hosted autopatcher bandwidth report:

post-52709-1106810793_thumb.jpg

That totals to 56,457.2 MB of bandwith. hehe would love to host again for autopatcher next time around. But ya guys just killed me. Anyway this was yet again another fine release by the Autopatcher team (although this time around it was member of it).

iverson0881

I'm having a problem with no text or anything when I launch it. I've tried several different msstyles because I thought that might be the problem but it's still the same. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried the .exe found here?

I wouldn't take it down, every little bit helps.

Just think of it this way. If 5 of the mirrors only generated 20 GB in 3 days that is 100 GB a day that they provided. If they were not available the other mirros (that are already getting hit hard) would have to pick up the slack, and 100 GB a day is no small feat.

Hello, i have a problem... When i tray to install it give me this error:

"Run-Time Error "35601": Element Not Found"

My SO it's in portugues

You should only use the January 2005 release on English Windows systems.

maybe you might want to change this:

Although it was made with Windows XP SP2 (English) in mind, it will load on any Windows version or language, showing only the items which match the running environment.

Although it was made with Windows XP SP2 (English) in mind, it should load on any Windows version or language, showing only the items which match the running environment, however, some people have reported problems loading AutoPatcher on non-English systems

Or something to that effect

Actually, the error is caused by a bug in the Jan2005 .exe. Anyway... the things included in Jan2005 will only show on English Windows.

/me goes to edit first post

I wouldn't take it down, every little bit helps.

But if it's getting hardly any traffic it's not worth us paying $230/month to keep it online since it's only hosting autopatcher at the moment ;)

<on topic>

Autopatcher seemed to work fine for me on a couple of my test boxen

Raptor, all the different installations that I have done (except the first one that added a username to the Welcome screen), have install flawlessly. Now, I'm at work and I'm running XPSP2 (fresh installation done like 3 weeks ago), and I have Sun's Java installed (the latest), and Autopatcher did not recognized that I had it installed. Look at the screenshots. Are there 2 versions of Java?

Thanks

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
    • you can also do this with this tool: PowerSettingsExplorer made by mbk1969 at 3dguru forum.. I found it by accident researching on modern standby and annoying quirks of it in 2022
