Note: To send a nudge press (Ctrl + N) whilst the type cursor is selected on the applicable window. In effort to prevent nudge floods, you will have press both keys not just the N to send another nudge.

Make sure that nudges are disables by default.

To do that, make the following registry key as a DWORD and set its value to 1.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nexus Messenger 2\DisableNudges

Note: you will be alerted on a nudge still, but the annoying shake wont happen. You may also have reload the convo window for registry changes to take affect.

Upon running the exe, I get "You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality" error.

Installing Nexus Manager 2 gives no problem, but when I want to run the program it says:

System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770). The specified module could not be found.

I restarted my system, still the same problem.

Problems running Nexus Messenger 2

Something i forgot to mention: Nexus like MSN Messenger, requires Microsoft Journal Viewer 1.5 for Ink Messaging. Ensure you have this.

This seems like a problem with registering the DLL files in the Nexus Directory; the setup script may have failed. If you have a previous version of nexus then check the nexus exe isn?t running in the background before setup, if the exe is. Then reboot, remove any older versions of nexus through Add/Remove programs. Then try downloading and running setup again.

If you have never had nexus before or the above instructions fail then Install the latest version then copy and paste this into Notepad and save it as FixNexus.BAT and then run

[sTART: Don?t copy this line]

cd %PROGRAMFILES%\Nexus Messenger 2\Modules

regsvr32 MSN.dll

regsvr32 sckSSL.dll

regsvr32 vbSock.dll

prjNexus20.exe

Edit: Got rid of that by getting the FM20.dll file. :blush:

Now I get the same "System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770)" as icecream.

Having same exact problem, downloaded the new version of Journal Viewer, and it still won't work. Ideas?

Sure, lets see what you two can do. I have one request though, we keep the project name "Nexus". I dont mind if you change the concept though, if its better that is?;)) .

Having same exact problem, downloaded the new version of Journal Viewer, and it still won't work. Ideas?

Check you can write INK on MSN Messenger. If you can write INK on MSN Messenger and you still get an error please say.

Note: Ive included a new runtime in the same download. Remove the existing Nexus and try downloading the same file again.

I uninstalled Nexus Messenger 2, I installed Microsoft journal viewer, tested if I could write ink and it works. I redownloaded Nexus Mesenger 2 and installed it, but I still get the error message.

I got the same problem.. i can't run the program at all.. :|

I've tried all the solutions you gave and nothing happen, I still get the same error.. :| :( :cry: :cry:

OK everyone who gets the problem, try downloading the same file again and running it. The new installer i made should moan at you to get the files that it needs, allow it do so ;) .
