Google plans to double Gmail capacity

Recommended Posts

Why?

That's all I really have to say about the matter.  No "normal" person will even use the 1GB of space and 2GB is just for shock value and to be used as an advertisement ploy.  This stupid email capacity race will hopefully end soon.  There's no need for and email service to have such large capacity.

Just wait, after 10 years I bet i'll have used 1Gig. If they really mean that we can keep every email we have, then they'd have to increase it eventually. This is assuming that the service is still around.

I have a good idea and dont steal it or ill kill you!!

lets all send our invites to ourselves and make a huge storage drive online..Somebody should code something to bring them all together

lol

100000 members x 2000MB/Member = :woot: :woot:

did u read it ?

Google first broke the e-mail mold on April 1, 2004, with an announcement so bizarre that many assumed it was an April Fool's Day joke.

:huh:h:

Oh I read it. I was also here last year when all the Gmail crap first came out. I wish I had known that 1GB of Spam and bull**** storage would excite every 12 year old with an internet connection.

thats totally your fault. People just dont imagine your email addy..... you probably put it somewhere that is spam prone and that started it.... + gmal does a good job of filtering em so its cool.

I am currently using

You are currently using 236 MB (23%) of your 1047 MB.

I use mine as an online briefcase of sorts. I used to use gmail drive, but I need to reinstall a new version and can't find it. Does anybody know the link!

I think that 2 GB is great.

Also, you can't create a massive online storage drive. It is against the terms of use.

Let's not make a reply whenever your storage increases.

    • On the one hand, it shouldn't be difficult. You buy a computer, you decide what OS you want, which browser etc. Simple enough. But that's the techie side of things. My sister, my mother, wouldn't bother with such a thought. And I'm pretty sure that if you presented a window asking them what to pick they would say, "I don't care! I just want to access my Email!"

    • Anyone who expects MS to play fair is a complete idiot.
    • Everyone behaves like Internet Explorer just never happened and Edge is whole new thing all while Microsoft is pulling the exact same ###### it did back then. Sigh.
