can someone please answer this

if i use this to get a serial for opera 7, and then use the link to upgrade to an opera 8 liscence for only €8 is there any difference between this, and purchasing a new opera 8 liscence, as in will it have the same rights to support etc, and upgrades etc etc???? please let me know and if so i will be doing this tonight and getting my proper lega opera liscence at a reduced price :ninja:

edit: never mind went ahead and did it, upgraded and got a brand new reg code for all opera versions for al operating systems, and 6 months subscription to opera mail, all for 8 euros 11 cents or ?5.50.

It is all legal, using the official opera website, using their payment system etc, so anyone who wants opera i suggest they do this now!

Ok download v8 beta 3 and will work with it for sure. Then try upgrading to v8 final and It accepts the key This works for 9 out of 10 people that I know have tried it. It has something to do with the storage of the reg. key.....anyways give it a try and if it dosent work use v8 beta 3 which is obviously the same as v8 final.

Read my post a page or two back, or learn German, it DOESNT WORK WITH 8 FINAL.

Have you read what people have posted here? The only way to get it to work is to install the final over the beta with it already registered. It hasn't worked for people who install the unregistered final straight up. Read the posts.

And if that doesn't convince youread the websiteb>. Or maybe they're just lying about the serial and hoping people will give theextrai> money for a serial they already possess? Right.

If you knew German...or knew how to use a translator...you would know the page says its version 7 serialb> and you capurchaseb> a version 8 serial at a discount if you like the product.

Didn't work here. After I upgraded from Beta 3 to Final, the registration become invalidaded

I tried doing the upgrade from beta 3 to the final and mine went back to unregistered.  Any ideas why?

Was beta 3 considered final release?

it was literally the final cuz no changes were made after beta 3 ;)

Wise decision will be to get beta 3 and use key freely (Y)

there is an option there, it used to be called "advanced mdi" which allows one to have none of those silly buttons on the tabs :p

here's mine: post-81503-1114016559_thumb.jpg

please notice the native skin, no silly buttons, nice personal bar, and the mail ^^. oh, and some nice buttons, courtesy of nontroppo! (the kill button in particular, which allows one to remove any element off a page!)

What is this if you get 250+ hits? Is that for a free opera 8 final lisence? Where do I get this thing from so i can get people to go on it?

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
