[Definitive] Nintendo Wii Thread

Recommended Posts

Ya I noticed that right away too, I wrote it off as coincidence tho... (I suppose they might purposely be hinting...)

The biggest thing for me was the fact that

a) Nintendo was mentioning "feel" everywhere, so obviously alot of peoples assumptions have been based around that to some degree. This of course takes it to the level where "feel" means "feel".

b) On the website they mentioned the technology being used for gaming more than anything else. I mean, that would be a totally KICKASS 3d modeling tool to go along with 3d studio max or milkshape. I can think of so many other uses than just gaming... infact, as far as PC gaming goes, I don't see quick adoption, but if it were standard in a console, obviously it would get out there and be free to use.

I still hope for a vr headset tho

Very interesting read apperntly confirming the Nitendo On Video as real and also explaining the tech specs of the Revolution. As moz says take it with a pinch of salt:

fake...

as far as i know isn't the new Zelda for GC....so this right here would prove its false wouldn't it...

I also know for a fact that the new Zelda for the Revolution is being created by Shigeru Miyomoto

^ and yes in the article it does say that he's talking about Twilight Princess...not the Revolution Zelda....hell, he mentions Twilight Princess going to Revolution like a billion times....and hasn't been confirmed over and over that its a GC game....

Uh the demos at the E3 were on the GameCube and next month's or a future Nintendo power is going to have demo disks. Plus every video game website has it registered as GameCube, not to mention EB and GameStop have pre-orders for it already for GameCube. There is more evidence that it is going to be on the GameCube rather then the Revolution.

i'm thinking you totally misunderstood my post...

i know its a gamecube game....but this article that i was refering to mentions about a billion times that it will be on Revolution...

i was using him saying it was a Revolution game to prove that the whole article was most likely BS....

I know there is some talk regarding "the revolution zelda" which is essentially just a reference to the pre-e3 conference where Nintendo said they are making a new zelda to be released for the revolution. So YES, they are working on a new zelda. ALSO there are a few different Nintendo departments that make zelda games, they pass games around to different designers to keep the games fresh with different peoples different takes on them.

From what I remember reading, Zelda is only developed by the Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development (EAD) division run by Miyamoto. I don't think different divisions work on the Zelda series: Wikipedia

Though it's an interesting read, I think the whole thing is fake. What convinced me was that he kept talking about the ON thing being real, highly unlikely IMHO, as well as all that talk about the controller having different pieces and the 'project reality' add-on. I seriously doubt Nintendo would want to confuse their costumers having so many separate components. Their focusing on simplicity.

Since I don't have an edit button, I will reply to myself.

I stand correct, there have been other divisons that worked on Zelda besides Miyamoto's divison. Starts at bottom of page and continues on a for a few pages: Nintendo's Divisions

i know a revolution Zelda is in development...

but in the article he refered numerous times to Twilight Princess being for Revolution....which we all know it is not....i was using that to prove that the article is BS....that is all...i was not saying there will not be a Revolution Zelda....i was just saying this article is BS because he mentions a million times that Twilight Princess will be on Revolution....

excerpt for the article/ he is saying that is there is a zelda being developed for the Rev, but then he tlks about TP for GC..

I also know for a fact that the new Zelda for the Revolution is being created by Shigeru Miyomoto and will be a chronicological sequel to Ocarina of time and Majora?s Mask.

But from what I?ve played from the exclusive insider demo of Twilight Princess( the version the public hasn?t seen). It looks to take the crown of game of the year. From what I have seen it takes things like context-sensitive cut-scenes and action-sequences that made RE4 and God of War so good and expands on them in-game and in cutscene.

Unless if you are Shigeru Miyamoto himself I seriously doubt you know when the Revolution Zelda is going to take place and what its place in the timeline is.

He answered those questions in an interview I believe. I seem to remember hearing the same thing reading one.

The only thing Shiggy or Itawa said about Revolution's Zelda was that it was being made. They never said any details about it because frankly I do not think they have even really begun on the project considering Zelda: TP is not finished and released yet.

I think I've found some info on the revolution!!!

this new image that nintendo had registered for a patent puts an emphasis on the "v":

RevolutionLogo3.jpg

I remember Nintendo registering something with a "V" sometime ago.

It turns out that in December 2004 Nintendo did in fact register what they call "V Pocket". check out this picture with the same ephasis on the "V".

What do you guys think?

Could the revolution controller be the "V Pocket"

What are your thoughts?

V-Pocket... hmm...

Finally, Revolution made Matsuhara think of the term "Ubiquitous," referring to the shared goal with Nintendo of making games that that everyone can play anywhere. Matsuhara actually offers a vision of what he hopes will become of the system's controller. He wants a controller that people can take with them and connect to WiFi in order to keep playing their games.
