V-Pocket... hmm...

IGN

Finally, Revolution made Matsuhara think of the term "Ubiquitous," referring to the shared goal with Nintendo of making games that that everyone can play anywhere. Matsuhara actually offers a vision of what he hopes will become of the system's controller. He wants a controller that people can take with them and connect to WiFi in order to keep playing their games.

Nintendo already patented an ideal where you can download the games to the controllers and bring them everywhere with you where you plug them into a tv/monitor/etc.

Video game distribution network

A video game distribution network for use in airlines, trains, hotels, cruise ships, set top boxes, cable television systems, satellite and other wireless systems or other communications systems, distributes special purpose game binary image files to general purpose computing/display devices. Software emulators running on the general purpose computing/display devices model the game source platform and interpret and/or compile the game files to provide interactive video game play. Software emulators for emulating a handheld video game platform such as GAME BOY®, GAME BOY COLOR® and/or GAME BOY ADVANCE® on a low-capability target platform (e.g., a seat-back display for airline or train use, a personal digital assistant, a cell phone) may provide any number of features and optimizations to provide high quality graphics and sound that nearly duplicates the game playing experience on the native platform.

isnt that how the iQue worked?

The controller-style console plugs directly into the TV and comes with a 64 Mega Bytes Flash Memory Card to store the games. Games are not available in the traditional way, but can be downloaded via Download Stations to the Flash Memory Card in Nintendo-affiliated retail, compact disc and bookstores throughout China. There are also plans to sell games online.

Considering it is only in China, it is probably illegal. Or else Nintendo is trying to stop the out of control piracy there, but I doubt it.

*Edit: Okay, I was wrong. It looks legit: Wikipedia. Just didn't look like something Nintendo would make. It does go along with that patent though.

damn with all this info it seems i have the perfect picture of what it is, but at the same time have no idea.

i was talking to someone on aim (his aim was mentioned somewhere else) and i was at work, he showed me a link to what he was working on. it was slow downloading and it was connected with vnc. i was talking on through gaim on my home pc and he sent me the link. but it looked pretty sweet. the link doesnt appear to work now but has anyone else seen this?

sounds awesome even though I don't have a clue what you're talking about... OMG, I've been a member since 2001, checking neowin everyday - and I'm about to hit 100 posts!!

Man, I definately want one of those. The pic from Che Guevara is pretty common here in latin america.

EDIT: And for those who don't know who the Che is, you should see Motorcycle Diaries. Though it's only about his youth, not quite the reason why he's so famous (the revolution and stuff), shows a bit about his character, and his ideas.

You can read about him here: Wikipedia

He tried to lead many revolutions in countries in latin america and people are relating him with Shiggy claiming he is trying to lead a revolution in the video game world.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
