It isn't always the parents though. If you have rebelistic children they're going to do what they want no matter what (I see it everyday). A parrents influence can only go so far and then it becomes the childs responsiblity and when the children just plain don't care and have friends that just plain don't care they're going to do whatever they damn well please. Even though the parrent might have brought them up right it still comes down to what the child wants to do even though they know it's wrong at that age.

Wow.......someone who actually has common sense posted here.

Oh, and it seems that no one even bothered to read the story they are so quick to comment on. The boys were 14, not 11. The girl was 11.

you think a child is born with the conception to be rebelious? then you might be just as nieve as the raping 14 year olds parents.

the instant that child comes out of the womb its your responcebility to teach it right and wrong. maybe once the kid is 14 they have the abilitiy to rebel and do what they want. but the influance of its parents will efect that child more then anything else when they are young, and it counts.

young is born to age 6. once there 6 its set. that kid is gana be how ever he is gana be. maybe you did it right, maybe you ****** up, regardless he apon the world to do as he wills.

A child isn't born with an attitude or personality, they gain it from experiencing life, it is molded based on their surroundings....aka their parents and the people they interact with, parents can control who they interact with so parents are in control...

A chav doesnt really have an american equivilent from what I have seen of americans.

Chav:

They are aged between 8 and 25 usually.

They like to where all sports clothes (which look crap), hoods, hats etc.

They think going round in groups and hanging on street corners is fun.

They take the **** out of everyone different.

They go around trying to make trouble out of anything. eg You walk pass them and they will taunt "Goth, Grunger etc." or say "What you looking at" to start trouble.

Once I was alseep on my gf's shoulder when one tried to say "What you looking at blud" to me. wtf? I was asleep!

They think that mugging people is fine.

They find that mindless violence and criminal damage is fine.

They usually come from council estates and poor families. I come from a poor family and dont act like this. Its not a good excuse although they use it.

rofl!!!!

ive been flogging the bishop since i was 11.  i dont think seeing a dude a chic get it on is negativly influincing me.

having sex, or watching a porn, is a lot difernt the watching a rape.

you would rather let your kid see a flic with 2 people killing each other then a flic with 2 people having sex?

586084761

I think if they did have harsher regulations (so only weedy computer geeks who could never commit rape coz they'd get beaten up by the women) could see it, it would help.

And I'd rather have my (imaginary) kid watch two people having sex than two people killing each other. But that doesn't seem to be the way the world works these days. WWF (WWE) used to be shown at 4:15pm every day all my mates used to watch it and one kid at my school got sent to a & e with a broken neck because of it, everyone was always out in the playground, smacking each other in.

And also, some pr0n is just wrong, if you go on some of the newsgroups (obviously not speaking from experience) and go on some perfectly legal, nothing to be ashamed of normal pr0n you'll end up heaped with obviously uinder age, and obviously not happy about what they're being forced to do, pictures, and films.

It's disgusting, I'd seen sex on TV when I was really young, but under age and essentially rape, is just wrong. There really ought to be harsher penalties but not the death penalty, because I don't agree with it.

oh my god... they sound like little punks. people are to passive these days.

there are people just like that here. high school kids hanging out in the local fast food joint's parking lot. god, ill pull in and get a box of chicken nuggets just so they do talk ****.

nothing i like more then punking a punk.

With all of the attacks being reported by the media in the UK, it sounds like a lawless wasteland. I'm a 6'2" 33-year old Iraqi war veteran, and even I don't want to go to the UK now, for fear of being assaulted as I walk down the street. Maybe that's when Blair will do something. When tourist see these attacks daily on tv, and are scared to go to the UK for vacation.

I wasn't implying that they were born rebellious. Do you go with your children to school everyday? Do you know who your kids are playing with on the playground everyday? Do you know who they sit with and listen to stories from as they get older about the cool things they've done? This is what you cannot control and believe it or not a kid learns more of their values nowadays from their friends instead of their parents. You can only control your kids to a certain extent, then the population gets them and all of the "molding" you may think you did can be thrown out in a second the first time your kids experience something.

If the people they go to school with are brought up well too, then there no problem, stick two twats in with the bunch and half the class gets infected with stupidity

I think im going to move soon after i finish college.

The area I live in is just full of chavs. Some friends and I petioned the council for a skatepark to be built.

What do they do? Build it right in the middle of where all the chavs live.

What happens? When you go its full of chavs messing about. They dont use it, they just vandalise it.

Its the place an 8 year old pulled knife on me. What the hell am i supposed to do to an 8yo? If I had punched him etc. I would be in trouble not him. Luckily I just walked away and he was to chicken to use it.

like i said, up untill about age 6 90% of there influance is form parents. then there out in the world. exposed to more on a daily bases then a group of people could monitor. if you start them off on the good foot then chances are they will be fine. its parents parents parents.

But the parents have most influence. Most of these kids are out playing in the streets unsupervised from the age of 7 onwards. Your parenting should be strong enough that a kid can understand right from wrong and use that to make judgements from an early age - if they can't do that by the age of 14 then yes, the parents have failed (nothing to do with the kids being rebellious).

If you watch programs in the UK then you can see how bad parents often are - there are some parenting programs where the parents are in tears because they don't want to hear their children cry and can't tell them off because it makes them feel bad... and these children are only 2-3. Pathetic, yet it is these people that are breeding most.

From where I live, every chavs parents I have met/seen are either drunk or drugged, have 5+ kids and let them run riot.

586084841

Same thing is true here :( They're essentially chavs with welfare and kids, the harrowing thing is when i think about it, my parents, unwillingly, pay for them to be here with their tax!

It amazes me, how far none of us of got... From squealing about who is wrong or not about something that really shouldn't be argued over. The girl was raped and there is evidence. They'll get what the "system" thinks is justice over there... And that is all there really is to it. I am pretty sure no one here can change that.

Riots anyone? :D

Just because we can't change it doesn't mean we can just drop it though :(

are you ****ing serious?!?!?!

exactly

I know the feeling, it is hard to let go-But honestly that sometimes is the best thing to do... no.gif

i odnt think anything negative will come from us discussing what we think is wrong with the system and society

This is just terrible, it may sound silly but I think they should start putting an age limit for these camera mobile phones. Its getting rediculious, the government needs to sort out these scumbags.

586084890

again, how can you make the corilation that video phone = crime

im still strugling.

if they really wanted to tape it, they could go to ebay and get a high 8 recorder for 20 bucks

    • New AMD graphics driver fixes install issues and FSR 4.1 crashes on RX 7000 GPUs by Taras Buria AMD is rolling out yet another graphics driver. Version 26.6.4 is now available for download, bringing two important fixes. One is for those still using Windows 10 and having trouble installing driver 26.6.2. In fact, this patch is coming from the recently released hotfix, so it is not new if you are already running version 26.6.3. The second fix is for RX 7000 owners. AMD recently brought FSR 4.1 support to the previous-gen graphics cards, but there was a bug with certain games crashing when using FSR 4.1. I experienced this issue with Forza Horizon 6, so today's driver should take care of that. Here is the official changelog: Intermittent install issue seen when installing AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 on Windows® 10 systems for Radeon™ RX 7000 series and above graphics products. Intermittent application crash may be observed in some games with AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 enabled on Radeon™ RX 7000 series graphics products. Known issues include the following: Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing Battlefield™ 6 on AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. AMD is actively working on a resolution with the developer to be released as soon as possible. Texture flickering or corruption may appear while playing Battlefield™ 6 with AMD Record and Stream on some AMD graphics products. AMD FSR Upscaling and AMD FSR Frame Generation may show as inactive in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition while playing Battlefield™ 6 when enabled on Radeon™ RX 9000 series graphics products. Failure to install may be observed while installing AI Bundle components in some regions with limited access to HuggingFace and GitHub. Model flickering or rendering failure may be observed in Maxon Cinema 4D and Blender on Radeon™ RX 7000 series and above graphics products. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to install AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1. Intermittent application crash may be observed on some models while running Blender on Radeon™ RX 7000 series and above graphics products. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to install AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1. You can download the AMD Radeon driver 26.6.4 from the official website here. Full release notes are available on the same page.
    • Amazon may use OpenAI and Nova models after Anthropic reportedly raises costs by Karthik Mudaliar Amazon is reportedly considering to use OpenAI models and even its own Nova family of AI models after Anthropic raised the cost of using Claude inside Amazon services. According to a report from The Information, Amazon is weighing its options to reduce costs under a new arrangement with Anthropic. But back in April, Amazon said it would invest $5 billion more in Anthropic, with the possibility of adding up to another $20 billion if certain commercial milestones are met. That investment actually came on top of another $8 billion Amazon had already put into the Claude maker. Anthropic, meanwhile, committed to spend more than $100 billion over 10 years on AWS technologies, including Amazon’s Trainium chips. Amazon isn't just a customer of Anthropic but also one of the most important backers and cloud partners. This is why it makes it interesting that Amazon is considering other alternatives to handle its internal workloads. Although Amazon has been building its own options for a while now. Its Nova family of AI models was announced in late 2024 for Amazon Bedrock, with models aimed at text, image, and video tasks. Amazon pitched the model around cost and latency at that time. With that said, OpenAI has also become a more realistic option recently for AWS customers as well as for Amazon itself. Earlier this year, OpenAI brought its latest models and Codex coding agent to Amazon Bedrock, after changes to its previously more restrictive Microsoft cloud arrangement. This allowed AWS to serve even those customers who wanted other alternatives from Claude, without having to move workloads out of Amazon's cloud. Evaluating alternatives could also be due to commercial pressure and not necessarily a sign of a damaged partnership between Amazon and Anthropic. Whether or not Amazon is actually considering switching entirely to OpenAI's models or its own Nova models remains unknown at this moment.
    • Samsung introduces new AI classroom tools and interactive displays at ISTELive 2026 by Fiza Ali Samsung has announced several new education-focused software features and interactive displays for schools during ISTELive 2026, taking place in Orlando, Florida, from 28 June to 1 July. The focus of these updates is on making shared classroom displays easier to use for teachers while giving IT administrators more control over managing devices. One of the key additions is the Samsung Account Management Solution (AMS). In many schools, multiple teachers share the same interactive display throughout the day, which means signing in and setting everything up can become repetitive. With AMS, teachers can log in by scanning a QR code or tapping an NFC-enabled ID card. Once signed in, their personalised workspace, including wallpapers, bookmarks, app shortcuts, and files, can be instantly accessed through Home Personalisation. Samsung has also included a screen lock feature, allowing teachers to lock the display if they need to step away briefly. Furthermore, the company is also updating its Education Portal with new tools designed for school IT administrators. The portal will allow IT administrators to register teachers, enrol devices, and manage user access from a central dashboard. Administrators can also link NFC cards to teacher accounts, making sign-ins quicker across shared displays. Another addition is a Tags feature that lets schools organise displays by building or classroom. Those tags can also be used to send emergency notifications to selected Samsung Interactive Displays through compatible platforms such as InformaCast and Raptor. Moreover, the tech giant's AI Assistant is gaining several new features aimed at supporting everyday classroom tasks such as lesson planning and classroom engagement. One of the features is Circle to Search, which lets teachers circle text or images on the display to quickly find related information, videos, or web results without interrupting the lesson. The content can then be brought into Samsung Whiteboard. Another feature, Live Transcript, converts spoken lessons into real-time captions, which could be useful for students with hearing impairments or those in multilingual classrooms. The AI Assistant also introduces AI Summary and AI Quiz. The summary tool creates summaries of recorded lessons, while AI Quiz generates questions based on lesson content so teachers can quickly check how well students are following along. Teachers signed in through Samsung AMS can also return to their previous AI-generated lesson materials without logging in again. Alongside the software updates, Samsung has expanded its Android-based Interactive Display range with three new models: the WAF-S, WAFX-PS, and WAHX-M. The WAF-S and WAFX-PS ship with Android 16, bringing updates to security, accessibility, and overall usability while maintaining compatibility with Google's education services including Google Classroom and Google Drive through EDLA certification. Meanwhile, the new WAHX-M is the biggest addition to the lineup, introducing a 98-inch display for larger spaces such as lecture halls and conference rooms. It will also be available in 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch sizes. Samsung says the WAHX-M further includes on-device AI features such as voice commands, text-to-speech, and an AI calculator, alongside support for Samsung AMS and AI Assistant. Samsung AI Assistant has been available since April, while Samsung AMS and the updated Education Portal will begin rolling out in July.
    • It's been $24 (single) or $89 (4-pack) for many days on both Amazon and Walmart as far as I know. That isn't a big discount. If these end up like the 1st gen, the 4-pack will routinely get down around $80, give or take a dollar. I think they have even hit $69 at times.
