Plastique, you're a f****** ****n.  Don't despair though.  Judging by the majority of comments in this thread, you're in with the majority crowd.

you know, you're right. violence has never solevd anything. well....except for slavery. oh, and facisim. Also nazism. Oh! and in some parts communism.

but yea, other than those things, violence has never doen any good.

I really worry about the state of kids in our country today.. and that says something when it comes from me, a 24 year old.

Living in Coventry you see your fair share of useless, waster, tosspiece, chav losers.. believe me :|

I think they need to be made an example of. I'm not sure how. But the message has to get out that doing such things is not acceptable and committing these acts will ruin the rest of your life.

Kids with no moral conscience shouldn't be allowed to be society as adults. They should be treated like a plague that needs to be removed from civilization.

Im personally quite worried about the implication this has on the state of our education system. That a group of kids can think that sending video proof of themselves comitting a serious sexual assault to all the people at their school is a really smart idea really has me puzzled. I think that says a lot about them too. Either they are way too arrogant or just plain stupid.

Also yes coventry is full of chavs (another annoyed resident)

Yeah, I live in Leamington and never go to Cov coz of the chavs... just can't stand looking at them... little pikey ****ers. man, i hate baseball caps with hoodies OVER them...

stupid little chav ****in' ass hats!

I never understood why happy slapping became popular, I mean, how stupid do you have to be to make film evidence of yourself committing a crime?

These kids do not need to be punished, they need to be educated, and made to go to university to study something that will make them think about what they have done.

Think about the 11 year old girl, think about how traumatised she is, and will be. She will be scared of sex for years.

No, they need their dick's chopped off.

THAT would teach them a lesson. Little peices of ****.

Exactly, unfortunatly the current generation of parents all think that mindless violence/mugging/rape/drugs are fine for their kids.

586084455

Hmm Movies, Games, Music do not make people crazy its been around for years.

People cant be crazy no more and do stupid ish right? there is always a reason right?

For years upon years we do stupid things! blaming them on a video game or movie is irresponsible.

Japan has one some of the lowest crime rates period! fact!

They watch ish alot crazier then US or UK on a daily basis and rarley run into problems like this

but its still gross, i just cant remember a video game where you can rape and film a 11 years old girl

feel bad for the girl

insted of happy slaps prehaps drug dealers will start happy dealing. and sending there videos to the cops. just to tease them.

but happy slaping is realy retarted. i hope thoes guys get what they deserve. they show no remorse in videoing what they did.

parents, teach your kids well. this is horrible.

586087082

That's utter crap. No way in hell has this been because the parents didn't 'teach' their kids. Anyone in their right mind is 100% aware that rape is totally evil. No one needs educated to that fact. If you grow up in modern western civilisation it surrounds you. No matter what excuse is given, it's wrong, evil, and utterly disgusting. These kids don't need educated. Don't shift the blame from them to the parents. Sure, a kid who maybe bully's or is disruptive in class... that can be partly attributed to the parents some times. But rape?! No way. These kids need to have the fullest consequences taken on them. It's no one but them who's to blame for this intolerable crime.

 Happy dealing

So, everyone living in fear is a desired result? Also, are you saying that the US doesn't have gang wars where people happily shoot each other? The US has over 10,000 gun deaths a year - guns are not going to help the UK, they would only make it a lot worse. This is a problem with western society, not the UK in particular - the US has its own different problems to deal with.

I don't like the way the UK is going, but copying the US is certainly not a way to go about easing our problems.

586085488

10 thousand out of a population of 300 million and remember the USA is huge, its not tiny England, and not bad really.

Also I Live in Los Angeles and there is very little gang related violence here.

It does happen of course, but it's not like it sounds like in England the way you people are describing things.

I personally blame it on TV, especially rappers and hip-hop artists.

It's seen as cool to be a thug, because in their music videos they have all the nice looking babes, cars and guns.

Thats my opinion, and when young kids see this they aspire to be like them and act and talk like them too .

586084636

your ignorance astounds me

The amount of ignorance here is astounding.

I blame TV, I blame the Parents, Video games, Porn, etc.... All just excuses.

First of all, every situation is different. Sometimes its the parents, sometimes its other factors.

I have a friend who turned bad after both of his parents were killed in a car crash. His family wouldnt take him in and he felt so rejected that he turned to crime. Whos fault is that?

Blaming the parents is easy, because nobody knows the situation. While I agree that parents do have a huge impact on kids at a younger age, in the teen years a huge impact comes from friends. And while its a parents responsibility to know who their children are spending time with, often its difficult to judge, especially if the bad kid/kids know how to be polite when necessary.

I got into a lot of trouble with the law when i was younger (though nothing violent), and i dont blame my parents at all. They had no clue i was doing anything, because i could lie my way out of a situation. I blame it on myself, for letting myself be influenced by the crowd i spent time with.

Basically i agree that parents are the root of the problem in a lot of cases, but you really have to dig deeper before making broad statements.

I think im going to move soon after i finish college.

The area I live in is just full of chavs. Some friends and I petioned the council for a skatepark to be built.

What do they do? Build it right in the middle of where all the chavs live.

What happens? When you go its full of chavs messing about. They dont use it, they just vandalise it.

Its the place an 8 year old pulled knife on me. What the hell am i supposed to do to an 8yo? If I had punched him etc. I would be in trouble not him. Luckily I just walked away and he was to chicken to use it.

586084829

You can do anything you need to get that knife off him. He should not have a knife to start with. Once that knife is off him you walk away with the knife in your hand. Try not to hurt him, but do anything needed to avoid a nasty incident. The law states that you have the right to use only the neccasary amount of force to stop this kind of situation turning bad, even if it is a minor with the knife.

My personal thoughts on Chavs and out of control youths is this:

The law should now carry a dress code, code of public conduct, times that people under a certain age should not be allowed on the street and anyone who has been arrested for public violance should not be allowed out after a certain ammount of time.

Then the police should have the power to stop people on the street and ask them why they sneezed. The law should be so tough that you have to have an explination for everything.

I know the above goes against rights to freedom etc, but at the end of the day this would crack down and reduce the ammount of these nasty types of crimes happening.

After say 2 or 3 years, the 'chav' culture would pretty much be obsolete and the laws could start relaxing a little.

Also i feel that death penalties for really bad crimes should be bought back in to play... It would make people think twice before commiting them.

    • OpenClaw now has native mobile apps on iOS and Android by Karthik Mudaliar OpenClaw, the viral open-source personal AI agent, now has its own mobile app, available on both Android and iOS. Users can pair the app with an existing OpenClaw gateway and can start using new mobile-native features that are now available on the app. The app supports all the existing features you'd already have seen on OpenClaw's TUI, as well as some more, such as real-time and background Talk mode, action approvals, sharing from iOS, and optional access to device capabilities such as camera, screen, location, photos, contacts, calendar, and reminders. These features are available on both the Android and iOS versions of the app. What's important with these apps is that they don't run OpenClaw on your phone, but are actually just companion apps that require a running OpenClaw Gateway on an existing device, on macOS, Linux, or Windows via WSL2. To pair the app with your existing OpenClaw gateway, users need to run the command "/pair qr" on the TUI or existing chat interface, which brings up a QR code. Users can then scan this QR code to pair it up with the mobile app. There's also an option to manually pair the app by entering the host and a port. Previously, OpenClaw had been available on phones via WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Matrix, and others. Now, with a native mobile app, the interface is much cleaner and more focused on just the OpenClaw, of course, with the added support for camera, screen, location, and more. It's important to note that OpenClaw comes with its own security warnings. There's always a chance of prompt injection with these tools, so users are recommended to double-check authentication, tool policy, sandboxing, and execution approvals rather than prompts alone. For users well-versed with the AI harness, a native mobile app makes it easier to approve an automation, share a link, use voice, or let an agent react to phone-side context.
    • Google pitches Spanner as one database for all AI agents with these new featues by Karthik Mudaliar Google Cloud is introducing new features within Spanner, its distributed database, as a place where enterprises should keep their data, using which AI agents could make smarter and better decisions. In a detailed blog post, Google highlighted quite a few features coming to Spanner, including relational data, graph relationships, vector search, key-value access, full-text search, and operational analytics together in one database architecture. Google says that today's systems aren't well-made for AI agents. There could be data that is present in one system, search indexes in another, embeddings in a vector database, and relationship data in a graph database. This fragmentation isn't great for AI agents to do their jobs because they don't have access to all of this data in one place. This is where Google is positioning Spanner as a solution. Spanner is already a globally distributed relational database with strong consistency, and Google wants its customers to see it as a broader data layer for AI applications. The company introduced something called Spanner Graph, along with integrated vector search, full-text search, a Cassandra-compatible key-value endpoint, and a columnar engine for analytical queries on operational data. Google also added that its ScaNN-powered vector search can support indexes with more than 10 billion vectors, while the columnar engine can make some analytical scans up to 200 times faster. All of this isn't just exclusive to the Google Cloud Platform, and there's support for multi-cloud as well. This comes via Spanner Omni, which Google says is a downloadable, containerized version of Spanner that can run on Kubernetes and in environments outside Google Cloud, including Microsoft Azure and AWS, and even on-premises infrastructure as well as edge deployments. Google says that customers who are interested in the full-featured edition should contact the company, and there's no word on commercial availability or separate pricing. Those interested can read the full blog by Google Cloud, which details these features individually.

    • They have lots of info on me, I have a facebook account and have done so for years, it was the thing to have then. My phone number is not on it. I don't have the Facebook app on my phone these days, just the messenger part, and only for a couple of people to contact me, most will text me via SMS or phone. I agree, Meta, like others, even without an account will know something about me. Just have to try and keep some things private Also, never saw the need for Whatsapp, people used to ask for me to join it, but as I said to them, I have SMS and a phone, use that, or email
