The yellow highlight is Gone.

I planned from the begining to make this VS combine the rounded rectangle buttons with more rounded shapes in other areas. I dont see any reasin why the two cannot interact and i beleive that some areas of the VS are better suited to one or the other. I Hope to obtain a nice balance and not go totally one way or the other as most VS's do.

I may look revisit start button before its all said and done.

Looks great so far Winswy, but I think the tray area needs more work. It looks real rough on the rounded sides. I actually prefer the first version of it like the one in this screenie:

https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?act=...=post&id=133050

The first version complemented the start button very well and I think the blue is a better color for the tray area. Any chance of you changing it back to that? As for the start button, I think it looks perfect.

i think maybe perhaps the tray looks a bit bad as i had not changed the background color before i posted it, the initial tray was designed to match taskbar buttons that i have since discarded, so i think the tray will stay as is, but will not look at all rough on release.

I have a whole week off work starting this weekend so i will be back to work in this.

I think i will keep the green tray tho, im trying to balance out the blue green and orange throughout the theme and there is little green so far. Besides that, its really grown on me as i use it every day.

anyway, i will try my best to have it done next week.

still working at the moment, i hope to be off for a week in a few days, I have been fiddling with the VS some but nothing really that would be noticable in a screeny.

The Vs will be finished probably inside a couple of weeks tho.

Edit: actually i did change the start menu a bit.. the flag logo and right hand panel,

compare it to page 1 screen and let me know what u think?

I like the new windows flag image.. Are you still going to include the leaves in the start menu, like you had before? This is the best looking "classic" theme I've seen. Really can't wait for the final.

    • In what way is any of what I said incorrect? To install an update you need to close all browser instances, upping it from once a month to once a fortnight is an inconvenience for users. Particularly when updates don't offer functionality that users want (notably copilot). Security updates should come as they are needed, not on a release schedule

File shredding is safer, faster, and leaves fewer recoverable traces. Improved handling of cookies, symlinks, Unicode filenames, external processes, and configuration files. Improved Expert Mode warnings and long warning dialogs. Fixed crashes related to cleaner detection, invalid Unicode, and malformed cleaner data. Clipboard is now cleared automatically after shredding files via paste operations. Linux Added AppImage support.
