Why microsoft always follows Apple... When apple released Mac OS X, they named their OS Windows XP... Then recently apple release Tiger with a spotlight in their logo, Windows Vista's logo has the spotlight as well... Can't believe this.... Sighh

And... and...and...Microsoft and Mac both have a M in them!

Those theiving b*st*rds!

:p

And names of cat breeds don't sound like ridiculous names for an operating system to you?

Technically the cat names of OS X are codenames. But Apple choose names of big cats to signify power, elegance and beauty - all of the things OS X is. I know Microsoft used "Vista" because it means visualise or something like that, and it's a good idea, but not everyone knows what the word vista means.

Anyway, let's not turn this into another Apple vs MS thread. Sorry to be off topic.

Awful name, it should be like xp, two letters its short and sophisticated. Microsoft had the best idear until this name:

Windows 3.1

Windows 95

Windows 98

Windows ME

Windows XP

What do these all have in commen, well thay all have two letters. and now they want to change that to a name which is just stupid. They proabably thought how you rip someone off with there creditcard, e.g a VISA and then added a letter. This name is just plane awful.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
